consider also signing up for rakuten too -- they often give another 14-20% cash back on aliexpress purchases.  i got mucho bucks back for my shimano dura ace groupset order along with other goodies (endoscope, paint protection, di2 charge adapter, etc).  it was the discount that pushed me over the top to splurge on dura ace over super reasonable and great ultegra groupset.

I know that the processes to save extra money during "sales" has been posted in the past.   There are many ways to save extra money on your orders with a little more planning.

1.  Research and find the Aliexpress "sales" dates throughout the year.   (Unless you are desperate to order and receive a part, plan you purchases around the "big Sales".)
2.  If you use the app,  you can play games, and do other things to earn coins.  (Coins typically give 1% to 4% off of many store items in your cart.)
3.  Often, some stores will have and offer store specific coupons.  Download these when you see them pop up from time to time
4.  Continually read the Chinertown thread that lists the active coupons.   During some sales, coupons can save up to 30%. but typically a max of 18% to 20%.
5. On smaller orders, be sure to use/apply $1.00 off coupons you have accumulated.
6  Occasionally, for no rhyme or reason Aliexpress will let you stack several coupon in your order, but most of the time the coupon code you enter will override other coupons you have entered, so be sure the coupon you enter is the largest discount.
7.  Some savvy buyers will use Paypal and often get other discounts that stack on top of the Aliexpress order.

Check if there is no gap between stem and fork tube. I saw the same problem not long ago. The reason was that stem hole was a bit larger than the diameter of the fork tube.

Same problem with 2 different stems.
Reinstalled everything Yesterday with a lot of grease. Now clicking sound only appears on rough descents.
I guess that the headset needs a shim washer for proper preload.

I hounded them in the messages to see how progress was going and if they could give an accurate ship date. Although it did end up shipping 3 days after they initially said, I'll take it! My original order said August 15 for delivery date, but now that it has shipped and been on the move I assume it will be much sooner

Disappointed to report that I started putting together the frameset the last couple of days and I think either the fork or the handlebar is defective because no matter how much I tighten the clamp, the handlebar still moves laterally.
The handlebar is the HB068

Took some measurements to see whether the issue is in the fork or the handlebar and I think it's both?
The fork tube doesn't have a uniform measurement but also the handlebar clamp seems to be bigger than it should. Looks to me that it's just manufacturing issues. Pretty bummed out about the whole situation

To everyone who has already built up the frame: Am I correct assuming that I don't need the lower crown race that is delivered with the headset? When I try to install it, the fork won't go in and leaves a 5-10mm gap. When I don't install it (seems like there is an integrated molded-in crown race with the fork), everything is flush as it should be.

Received my frame today, everything looks decent, some minor paint job mistakes but nothing anyone would notice unless they properly inspect it!

Looking for a solid pouch for the storage rhough! Anyone has any suggestions or recommendations?

I didn't order bars. I haven't had any issue with preload on headset and only a small issue with getting my stem on. The steerer was a bit thick right at the top. Once on, no issues. About 100 miles in and so far so good.

Other thoughts:
The seat stay are wide (duh) and when stretching out the back of my left leg hits the stay. I don't really have the issue on the right, but I think that's just me.

Also this make mounting a rack to the mount points questionable for me. So I'm getting an adapter to go around the seatpost to mount a rack to.

The storage door still seems too soft and there is not a good seal to the frame. Water and dust find their way in.
They said they would offer the door and part separately, but I'm not holding my breath and will try to baby the door, hardware, and opening. I'm going to add some foam type tape on the door to act as a gasket. There is some, but it's not enough. I don't want to add to much because I don't want to be d the door.

It rides like I expected. Which pretty much means I don't notice anything about the frame. Seems stiff enough and comfy with 55mm tires and a redshift seatpost.

55mm tires have a lot of clearance at least 6mm at any point I thought to check.

I'm seriously considering buying the brake mount surfacing tool I saw on YouTube from Ali. I have a couple of bike that I would feel better about knowing the mounts are flat to each other and 90deg from the rotor. My current windows for no rub seem incredibly tight.

Man does my gloss paint seem to scuff easy. The section right about my downtime bottle cage is hazy. I don't remember missing the cage that many times or grinding my bottle into the spot, but 🤷‍♂️

Seatpost fits well and didn't over torque. Only 6nm. On that thought I haven't seen any torque specs or directions for the build. So have been using standard from parts and other sources.

I have a stages power meter crank arm and it clears the frame with about 0cm. Very faint scuffs after the first 20 miles. I added a 0.6mm shim and no issues for hitting the frame or wobble on the crank arm.

I'm adding helicopter tape to protect from rocks/grime spraying off the wheels and around the crankset to protect from the chain if/when it slips.
