If anyone doesn't feel comfortable ordering from SPCycle, Mondince now have the exact same frame (without the rear bolts on the seat stays it seems): FM 346. They updated it and it looks identical to the SPCycle G028 now.

Hi,

Quick question: what brake rotors are supported in the fork? Is it 140/160 or 160/180? Is it the same for SPcycle and Meinier?

Thanks in advance!

It's 140/160 on Meinier. not sure about the sp cycle

Thanks for replying. It's a pity, I'm very happy with the 180 rotor in my SPcycle G026.

I guess the SPcycle G028 will have the same 140/160 as the Meinier.

My meinier build is nearly finished.
overall quality is ok considering the price. It's probably the best t47 BB i've seen so far. very clean. The frame looks much better in person. I chose it over the sp cycle because of those horrific steering tube images and I also like the profile of the frame better with meinier seatpost clamp design.
There's a couple of quirks though.
1) Provided headset doesn't really work with the frame. The compression ring is way too tall leaving the gap of about 5mm when installed so I had to look for a different ring/cover combination.
2) I picked a raw frame and there are some visible "problems". I ordered no rivets on the fork but it looks like the holes were there and they were just covered and painted over with black paint. Also there are some splashes of black paint here and there under the clear coat. some on the joints which is expected but some are just in random places like on top of the top tube. Not a dealbreaker, just a minor complaint.
3) Chainstay is super tight so I barely managed to route the eGR cable. Can't imagine building it with mechanical shifting.
4) storage door didn't fit the frame. It was about 1-1.5mm too long so I had to sand down the edges. Even after that it does not sit flush with the frame but it's acceptable. I will probably have to add some thin adhesive rubber around the edges to make it weather proof.
