Just heard back from Carol.
The frame will be shown at Eurobike, sample will be ready in August and approximate price is $770 / set.
Thats a lot of frame for not a lot of money!

That's in line with the pricing I got told, $920 shipped and $1175 for custom paint. Mondince is $850/$950 shipped for super/ultra versions (paint included I think).

They haven’t even got the moulds made yet, so I’d imagine they’re guesstimating the final frame weight and will update later.

The listing says 1100g with UD matte for a 54 / size M, so it's painted / ready to use (black) finish, it's not a raw finish. Compared to a raw finish, that's probably 40-60g?

For comparison, someone got their Mondince aero  size 56, painted with pearl gloss finish (i assume white, or the heaviest kind of paint afaik), 1055 grams w/ both hangers and the cage bolts, 'Superlight' version. The 'Ultralight' version is allegedly 100g lighter but costs more.
For comparison, the Grand Turismo by XMCS, user Dewa6975, weighed in at 1018g painted (with decals and all). Seen raw at 950g with derailleur mounts.
For comparison, there was a Speeder 55D (Tavelo Arow) in size 51, UD matte, with rear and front derailleur hanger and bottlecage bolts: 930g.
For comparison, paul_otta weighed his painted size 58, 18D at 1134g.

Bottom line: they can probably make it lighter indeed, especially as they claim a fancy mix of fibers incl T1100 and M40J, and they claim their gravel frame (73D) to weigh the same, which doesnt make sense. This new model doesnt exist yet, i wouldnt read too much into the claimed weight just yet.

Based on my conversations with them over WhatsApp, the 54cm has passed testing (whatever that means) and the other sizes in testing. I assume that means they have a finished 54cm hence they are reporting the weight ?

Tbh i would choose 2 bolt style saddle clamp every day over any other saddle clamp system. It would allow micro adjustments for saddle angle and it’s much more easy to align. Glad they choose that system

Just to avoid any confusion - I think the last 2 comments are aimed at 2 different 2 bolt systems used on the frame.

2 bolt saddle clamp system: AMAZING! So easy to micro adjust - so happy to see this.

2 bolt seatpost clamp: this one has me a little more worried, seatpost slip is a constant issue among a heck of a lot of bikes, and I’m unsure about this setup. Pretty sure the endurance Xmcs frame uses a 2 bolt system and slippage has been reported. But then again the LCR018-D has been having its own fair share on seatpost slippage issues so who knows which system is best.

 I wish someone could come up with a system for carbon seatposts that eliminates any chance of slippage….or maybe a LCR020-SL with integrated seatpost!! :-)

The XMCS GT had that issue with the first production frames but they fixed that issue pretty quickly. Two bolt seatpost clamp is actually pretty nice, especially for micro adjusting.

Yep this is exactly what I'm thinking

AERYS is like 930g, cheaper Voicevelo Echo is 110g. Raw Cervelo S5 is about 1000g, Scott Foil is 910-985g. Deep section tubes = weight

For me personally I think my current Cervelo R5 clone is like 940g with paint and I ride with a tool bag, water bottles and occasionally heavy Amazon Elitedrive wheels. So this with a modern + lighter wheelset would be lighter overall but more aero.

I emailed Lightcarbon to ask about the price and when this frame might be available in my size (52) and also to see if they had any details on their riser bars. This is what I heard back:

Glad to hear from you.
LCR020-D is our newest aero race frame, below two screenshots for your reference.
But its all sizes are expected to be available the end of 2026.
Its price is undecided yet .
The riser handlebar for road bikes are also not available so far.

Kind of bummed not to get any details about price or a time line more specific than "end of 2026." If that is indeed the case, I'm a little annoyed they're promoting it so long before it actually becomes available.

I heard back from Carol yesterday.
Here is her exact response:

"We will start for the frame moulds recently. So currently only in the 3D printed model. This bike frame will be showed at Eurobike 2026 at the end of June. Samples will be ready in August and the approximate price is USD 770/set."

If there was an option, id preorder this now, everything about it so far looks fantastic and will be the perfect stablemate to my LCR018-D.
Seeing how well they support their products and customers and how the 018-D rides, it's an absolute no brainer. And the price, as usual, is ridiculous.
