so it's $300 for no logo, and also $300 for a logo, doesn't that mean they just raised the price $300? Am I missing something? I feel like they made the explanation way more complicated than it needed to be. It's just +300 USD and you have to really "insist on a matte or carbon raw, unbranded frame" if that is what you want.

was this confirmed across multiple conversations? because the way this is worded, it seems like it must be some sort of communication problem.

even for chinese oem this makes no sense. in one month time no one will feel bad about an increased frame price but seeing 300 for mandatory decals option will always feel bad

I agree the $300 paint being required now is annoying but I the value with the $300 is still hard to beat. The bike frame with bar I am estimating with PP fees is about $1425 USD.

Frames with bar + shipping and fees (QP prices may be slightly off, had to convert from CAD to USD)
-LCR020 - $1425 USD with riser HB
-XMCS VRT - $2195 USD with riser HB
-QP ER 1 - $2335 USD with zypher SSL HB
-QP Blade - $1825 USD with zypher SL HB

If QP had a riser bar, I could see the blade being competition. Maybe the new RIME Aero QP is releasing in the next few days could be a contender. However a frame with 35mm clearance and a riser bar at this price, it seems LC is still the value champ for what you get.

2 months ago you could order it for less than $1000 if you chose no paint scheme.
Then it was killing the competition

Also you forgot the VOICEVELO and the AVENGER and the MACH on Pandapodium.
All 3 around $1,400 same as the LC now…!!

Or simply the MONDICE. Problem is it doesn’t have good aero / riser handlebars.

I don't want to argue whether they're increasing prices btw, I'm just saying the way they're going about it is so odd that I can't quite believe that it's their intention. Especially since they've been rather transparent about pricing and the quality / weight of their frames in the past.

Maybe they don't charge the fee per frame for bulk sales and it's their way to steer away individual customers (at least temporarily to meet demand)..?

I'm relatively new to this game so I'm totally clueless and just guessing tbh.

We don't know either. The only fact that is established is that they are charging mandatory 300 usd for the paint. Either you get paint or not, you need to pay additional 300 usd,which is pretty much the same as price increase.

The only thing I dont get why they decided to turn around front thrue axle, but otherwise I think it looks pretty good.

PS: frame size in picture should be size 54

It's hard to tell from the photos but I'm not digging the handlebar and the upward sweep of the stem. I know hudud and rpantahi are coming out with a riser handlebar which resembles the tavelo riser bar which is more to my liking.

That looks really good. Like, very, very good. It's just sticking in my craw that they have gouged for another $300.

But damn, that really does look bang on. The bars, not so much. I think the XMCS bars are the best looking of the current crop.

frame looks nice. i hope the the HBR020 does change in shape and size. that looks terrible in the picture. if it stays this way i will switch back to a HBR017

ATGNI: Maybe those are just some random 3dprinted version 38 of handlebars just put on a bike. I believe from handlebars dimensions chart that was here previously handlebars lines looked a bit different and would trust dimensions chart, but that is just me speculating.

Those riser handlebars definitely will look better with longer stems 110-120mm (I hope), with shorter one they look a bit different, but still imo better than 30-40mm spacer stack .

wow frame looks really nice. Cockpit does not look good indeed, but with a length of >120mm it will look good (I hope)
