Happy Holidays!
eh. I find it hard to be very interested in what big companies like Trek/Specialized are doing. It'll be nice but also way too expensive. Doesn't look to have anything particularly unique.
I'm currently watching the latest video from our friends atNERO Cycling. Apparently there's been a leak about the new SL9 model, since this forum always has interesting insights. What do you think?
The seatpost is interesting to me in the way that it seems to get narrower and deeper on the upper part. There's a chinese brand making these types of seatposts as aftermarket upgrades.https://www.pandapodium.cc/product/ganna-aerofin-seatpost/Given that they haven't been selling these for very long and that specialized usually spend a year+ on prototyping layups and stocking up product for release, I wonder if there were any idea leaks from the specialized factories that led to the above product.
I think the layup for a seatpost is much simpler than a layup for a frameset. Sure, they take their time with the frame layups, but I doubt they take a year for the seatpost.
