"returns" is an entire industry. There's plenty of youtube content of people buying pallets of stuff. Returns is part of the cost of doing business, has always been, physical or digital business.
You should report the guy insulting you, it's unacceptable.
Some people will invariably scam / abuse the return system.
Also, chinese sellers are notorious for quality fade and other scams.
It's why the platform you buy from is important. When you're on AliX, Alibaba looks at you as lifetime customer value. If they piss you off and you never come back, they miss on potentially hundreds of transactions. Meanwhile most of the time, people don't return stuff frivolously. If return terms are too lenient, then people buy more stuff because they know it's super easy to return stuff they don't like. There's a tradeoff somewhere.
Years ago, buying on AliX anything but very cheap garbage didn't make sense because you didn't know what you'd get, and you knew you couldn't return it, so every time you clicked buy, you knew the money was gone, and all you could do is hope for the best. The platform has matured a great deal since then.
I would report that seller, if they dont want to sell to the west, they can stick to taobao.
