OTVTO wheels

I came across this brand on Aliexpress, anybody have any experience with them? Seems like they’ve got quite a bit of knowledge, and pretty good reviews. Pretty cheap wheelsets, and some pretty interesting weights. They seem to share a bit of their inventory with KBBK wheels, judging by the layout of their catalog photos. Anybody heard about either of these? Interested in getting a pair.

I just took advantage of the cyber day sale on Aliexpress to purchase a set of 60mm deep, 23mm internal wheels with Goldix R240SL hubs from OTVTO. The seller replied quickly and had real knowledge about their products. They build the wheels when you order them, so they take up to 14 days to ship. I paid an extra $20 for a 'tapeless upgrade', so no holes in the rim bed. They have other upgrade options such as custom finishes, decals, etc. I was a bit iffy as they don't have many reviews, but the ones I saw were positive, and together with the good communication I had to pull the trigger. Will report when I get them.

Last black friday I purchased a set of wavy wheels for gravel riding; weight in line with declared value, good quality for the price. They reply quickly to technical question.

I got a set of XC wheels from them some time last year.
They're holding up just fine and the weight is accurate to what they claimed.

I ordered their wavy gravel wheelset today. Looks like it uses Hworks hubs, which is a good sign. Will report back once I've gotten to ride on them.

I just got my wheels. 60mm and 23mm internal, 1400g without holes on the rim bed. The hub was very loud but I put some grease between the ratchet rings and it quieted down. Did a little photoshoot of my bike with the wheels on it . Lastly, yes, my bike is too small for me...

Genuine question; how do you guys feel comfortable buying wheels off an 'unknown' brand from AliX? I stick to the big names and even then I feel so hesitant handing over my money. Paypalling money to ProX was stressful!
Truthfully, I've never had issues buying name brand (for AliX standards) and if I did I was well taken care of.

After 2 weeks of production time and 3 weeks for shipping (they came via sea freight) I received the wheels last Friday. Box was a little squished, but the only damage is a cosmetic scratch on one of the spokes. They came with a spare spoke in each length with the lengths labelled, which is nice. Hubs are Hworks and have a healthy amount of grease under the end caps to help keep debris out of the bearings. Weight is 1.6% over the nominal weight on the listing, but that's well within the 3% range OTVTO gives.

Finish is good on the rims with no visible problems. Threw them on the truing stand, and they were about 0.7mm out laterally which was easy to correct. May have been caused by the box being squished in transit, but I can't blame OTVTO for that.

They'll go on my FM336 gravel build, so I should have some initial thoughts in a few weeks.

OVTVO is not unknown, also Ali has some amount of buyer protection. I've been buying stuff there for years and never run into an outright scam.

So, I got my first set of wheels from otvto. It was custom made to my specific orders via chatting over AliExpress with them.

Hub: H-works sr288c
Spokes: 3.8 mm carbon spokes with a maximal measured divination of 2,5% in spokes tension.
Rim: 40mm front, 50mm rear with 24mm internal.
Overall weight with sram xdr freehub 1230g.
Price 630€.with spare spokes and nipples.

Overall, i decided between Zed and DFs. Zen could not offer these spokes, and overall the price was about 300€ inkl. Shopping lower for about 100g higher weight. So I decided to give it a try.

Tbth, the rim could be a little bit lighter. They have not offered me a lightweight version, but perhaps there is one. There was failure on their side because they offered me a rim that was not available ever. So, I have forgotten to ask for a more lightweight rim profile.
Overall, really great communication, very responsive and pleased.
I have not ridden it yet.
