New Rockbros Hard Shell Aero Bag Set
« on: July 03, 2026, 07:16:14 AM »
Hi guys! Just received this new Rockbros integrated hard shell bag combo on AliExpress: https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005012485497441.html

I’m super stoked about the look: the 3D stiffened structure and flush frame fitment look incredibly clean and aero. As soon as they arrive and I get some miles on them, I should drop a full review here to let you know how they hold up, if they rattle, and how waterproof they actually are.

Anyone else tried these or looking into them?

Hi guys! Just received this ...

Did you pay the EU tribute for it already?

Good question! I actually checked the order details but nothing is listed about that tax yet, so I think it hasn't been applied. Keep in mind that the package just arrived today

Perhaps it entered the EU prior to July 1st. I am expecting a package soon, which was ordered mid-June, so curious what those thieves will charge me.

I just got a set.
40gbp from Ali
Haven't fitted the top bag yet but the frame bag fits beautifully in Size M Mondince fm316. Can well believe it would give a little aero gain by increasing chord length of head tube in a very snug fashion.
May have to warm it to get a couple of wrinkles out though.

Getting the wrinkles out is annoying, may have to try more heat.
One side sits perfectly flat and looks great, but the zip side is annoying the shizzle out of me. Bit of a crease/undulation on down tube edge. Spoils the look completely which is a shame :-\

So.... It's not wrinkles.
One side of the larger frame bag is cut and bonded absolutely perfectly
The other side with the zip is either cut slightly long or the material is bonded a bit off which means the face of the bag won't sit flush and flat. Very frustrating, but for twenty quid...shrug.
I've got another coming so will see if that's the same.
Shame as it spoils an otherwise brilliant bag  :(

Looks like replacement is doing the same annoying thing. So near but so far.

Looks like a flawed design: top tube bag has only velcro and no option for bolt mounting, would prefer magnetic lock instead as I broke these poor quality zippers on my old RockBros bags during a bikepacking trip.

Do you have some pictures of that issue?

I think so. I've got two the same and someone else posted similar on Facebook

I don't think it's a defect, but if you leave it empty, it creases. This is mine empty. I'll fill it in the next few days and let you know.

Hope it works for you, but filling/heating/tensioning hasn't worked for me.
One side is perfect and regardless of what I do the other isn't.
Same on two packs.

Solution of sorts
I used some strong double sided duct tape to attach a piece of thin plastic card to the inside of the zip side face, front to back and from zip down which pretty much makes everything sit correctly. Not ideal though, but if you can be arsed to do that it seems like a pretty good bag.

As an aside
Had a little measure up and everything looks like the fabric is cut correctly, so maybe it's the fact that they flat pack it to send it and it ends up out of shape.
I tried giving it an iron today but that didn't seem to help either.
