I'll try and attach the video below, let me know if this works.

Thanks for sharing however I'm quite confused.. because I also contacted Jack and he mentions again to if possible put the red one above. From a little research it seems that these red bearings have a better seal to prevent moisture coming down from underneath the cone spacer/cover. The black bearing seal should be less water resistant to let any water through that still managed to get in.

I'm trying the Lexon Unox handlebar to fit .

On my frame, i had to use the split ring between the frame and lower bearing. Otherwise the bearing sits to deep in the frame and the fork crown rubs the frame.

Finished my build this morning. Other than the wrong headset instructions from Jack to begin with, everything else went together perfectly. First ride tomorrow morning!

It looks great!
tell how did the initial tests go?
If you don't mind sharing, what are your height and inseam, and at what height do you have your saddle set?

I think you placed the bearing intended for the lower cup in the upper.and vice versa. The lower bearing is the thicker one.

I had 3 headset bearings delivered with my frame for whatever reason and the two having the correct chamfer for the lower position, did require the split ring to fit.

I also got three. In the end did you ending up placing the red one on the upper?!

Hello,
Been hiding in the shadows here at Chinertown for the past weeks, soaking up all the information and recommendations.
I finally ordered my FM376 through WhatsApp with Jack (I presume) on the 22nd of September. There was a medium frame that was in stock, painted and ready to be shipped out. Managed to get a small discount so final price was €650.

I've been ordering most of the components over the last week and really looking forward to starting with the assembly and first ride!
I was initially set on fitting the bike with L-twoo eGR as I've never had electronic shifting but wanted to keep the final price down to a reasonable total. But after some more research and tracking down deals I realized that I can get a full Sram eTap-system for just a little bit more.

L-Twoo eGR 1x13 lever, mech and brakes - €586

Sram Red eTap AXS HRD D1 Lever & brake set  €399
Sram Rival E1 XPLR AXS 1x13 €220
Total - €619
So with that premium of €33 it wasn't hard to decide to go for the Sram setup

I already had SRAM Red D1 Carbon AXS with Quark dual sided powermeter (€314) paired with Ztto T47-29i Ceramic bottom bracket (€35) ordered.

I've also just yesterday ordered a Serenade wheelset. TAG40S, 40 mm deep clincher with 30 mm internal width and SR042 hubs for €500. Planning on matching them with a ~50 mm tire, which tire I haven't gotten to yet.
Any recommendations from the jury? Mostly fire- and forestry roads, dual tracks and some tarmac.

To steer the bike I decided on a Kocevlo Road Aero carbon integrated handlebar, 90mm stem, 380mm wide and flaired to 410mm (€119).

Now I'm just following parcel tracking numbers, got a few more parts that needs ordering (cassette, chain, brake discs, tires and pedals) and trying to figure out if I have all the tools needed for assembly. Then we are off to assembly!

Looks great!
What is the size of thunderburts? 2.35” or 2.25”, or 2.1”? Also intetested in actual width and clearance on the frame.

Im thinking if i can fit 2.35” on 32mm rim into rear.

Mine should arrive soonish.

Mine are the 2.25", haven't measured them but as Eins said, there's still plenty of clearance front and rear.

I also got three. In the end did you ending up placing the red one on the upper?!

Yep mine also came with 3 bearings. I'd definitely recommend following the instruction video, black bearing goes at the top with the split ring sitting between it and the frame.

It looks great!

First ride this morning was great! No idea what my inseam is sorry but I'm 188cm and saddle height is 940mm from the top of the pedal to the top of the saddle.

I'm currently torn between the FM336 and the FM376. I like the geo of the 376 a tad more and I think the placement of the storage compartment is super smart.

I run 40 mm Schwalbe G-One R on Elitewheels ENT Gravel (25 mm internal) though, and now I wonder if such "narrow" tires would look completely off on a frame that's designed for massive 57 mm tires. 😅

Does anyone have pictures with 40–45 mm tires on an FM376? Photos from the geometry twins SP Cycle G028 / Meinier GRL15 would help too.

It will look fine, plus you have the option for bigger tyres in the future if you want! I first had some 45mm caracal race tyres in my meinier and they measured 50mm on my 32mm internal wheels. Now I installed the 55mm pathfinders and I think they are just as fast. So my point is maybe fit bigger tires ;D if you really want and no one has a picture I can try to fit some 40 mm caracal races i have still laying around. Or my 32mm pirelli pzeros from my roadbike.

You're a legend! I was just about to reply to your first post that it would be hilariously great to see a pair of skinny road tires chilling out in this huge frame gap and there you are with 33s. 😅

To be fair, it looks a bit silly (if you know what you're looking for). But yeah, my (practically new) 40s should look at least okay until I need a new pair.

Thank you so much, this helped tremendously. 🙏

P. S.: These wheels look awesome by the way! So does the whole bike of course.

Thanks the wheels are from Serenade and came from my roadbike. I use the elitwheels aero gravel.

Great looking bike! But is it the FM376? Isn't the storage compartment lower on the FM376?

No he said that the meinier grl15 also was okay so it was just to show the tire clearance.
