Saw they're recruiting beta testers for the new PP6. Still salty about GPLama's PP5 test (drift, residual torque). Any deets whether PP6 actually fixed that?

Yeah... that's not how the Chinese manufacturers work. Ship broken, fix in the next hardware revision, tough luck if you bought early.
