I received my flat top SUMC chain this week. It took a few extra ultrasonic cleaning sessions to get the gunky adhesive off. I then immersive waxed the chain and sized it for my drivetrain. It only needed minor tweaks to the drivetrain, but everything lined up decently. It does feel a a bit more stiffer, but I plan on riding it this weekend to really push it through.

I'll see how it holds up after a few ride sessions.  ;)

A quick ride report with 33km/21mi of riding and 365m/1200ft of climbing. The chain rides pretty well. Shifting was accurate and the chain is fairly quiet. There's noticeably less drivetrain sound especially coming from my Goldix XDR cassette.

I'll have to ride it for longer distances to see if the chain holds up over time. At least for the short term report, these SUMC flattop chains seem decent.
