I received my flat top SUMC chain this week. It took a few extra ultrasonic cleaning sessions to get the gunky adhesive off. I then immersive waxed the chain and sized it for my drivetrain. It only needed minor tweaks to the drivetrain, but everything lined up decently. It does feel a a bit more stiffer, but I plan on riding it this weekend to really push it through.

I'll see how it holds up after a few ride sessions.  ;)

A quick ride report with 33km/21mi of riding and 365m/1200ft of climbing. The chain rides pretty well. Shifting was accurate and the chain is fairly quiet. There's noticeably less drivetrain sound especially coming from my Goldix XDR cassette.

I'll have to ride it for longer distances to see if the chain holds up over time. At least for the short term report, these SUMC flattop chains seem decent.

That's awesome!
Got my 10sp SL chains to Canada. About the wax tand install them before Zwift today. Just recovered from being sick for 2 weeks!

I have a good feeling about these, gonna compare to what I've been using, SRAM PG-1071
If they are good I hope to make them popular in north america because why not if they're good
Btw when I applied the quick link, it was the tightest most secure fitting quick link I've ever installed. Very locked in.

So far waxxed chain is quieter than the pg-1071. Wel see after further use.

Btw i pay less for two chains vs not even 1 from KMC

I've been talking to some of my contacts on Rednote. It seems the flattop chains are getting popular over there. Though there are some issues with durability. I saw one video where one hollowed out flattop chain broke. I'm definitely keeping an eye on this chain. Though it seems noise reduction and smoother shifting has been confirmed by other users in China.
