chinese carbon saddles

So ive just checked my bibs after a few months of riding the ryet aircode 3d printed saddle, and they have been cheesegrater'd pretty badly which is a shame as i really like the saddles. It is more pronounced on my winter bibs which are a thicker material.

Do people have better results with the t40 version? Otherwise i might just go back to my pro stealth

It's similar on the T40. The photos are a few posts above. The issue is the honeycomb pattern on the sides and in the middle.

Well today my West-biking 3d carbon saddle snapped. I went home safely but when I realised, my winter pants were all broken near that sharp edge
I´ve been using it for less than a year, and I only use the road bike on weekends, so it has little use on it.
Pretty dissapointed.

I had the original one, but returned it as despite being 3D printed it was super hard and not comfortable at all... wondering if this one is better (as I like the shape, currently riding Selle SLR Team Replica)

Anyone have recommendations for a non-carbon round railed saddle for a commuter bike? I have a more heavily padded road bike saddle on it now, but it doesn't work for me for some reason, maybe too much padding or wants me to lean further forward. I'm looking for, you know, just a regular place to put my butt on short to medium rides. Would love suggestions!

yeah, there are quite a few Chinese carbon saddle options. Some are surprisingly good, but I’d avoid the super cheap ones and look for real-world reviews first.

I've got this one yeah! The padding on it is definitely of some new kind - it's a lot softer and feels a lot more "squishy" when touching by hand than the other ryet saddles I've had. (Although I must say once I sit on it with bibs, I don't notice it being remarkably softer, feels just normal)

So far I've had 2 aircode's (the original honeycomb one, and then the more "filled" in 3d print style) and some other random narrow-nosed one for which I don't remember the name anymore (that one was horrible, sold instantly).

Point being, this one feels by far to contain the most dense and squishy padding. Ridden on it for ~500-600k's and so far I've been happy

Any saddles with carbon base but titanium rails (or 7x7 any metal) that are more traditional, i.e. no wide wing tips that slope down. Flatter, t shape style? Currently using elitaone SLR copy but not a fan of the 3d printed cushion, and the sloped wings rub against the inner thighs

Like a few here, I found the Ryet Ultimate with the 3D cushion (and carbon shell) was wearing out my shorts, particularly on wet/dirty rides. I also found it a little too grippy, so I couldn't easily shift my weight in the saddle while seated. I moved to an EVA cushion with a plastic shell as EVA cushion with a carbon shell was too hard, and I may well stick with this option.

That said, I noticed https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008248178090.html has a Ryet Ultimate with a 3D cushion and a cover over most of the lattice. Does that fix the short wear issue? (Also curious how the vacuum foam differs from the EVA too.)

alfiomotrambo posted one of the Ryet listings above, as for the unlabeled one I recently ordered this (3D version) but haven't tried it yet. The base looks just as good as the Ryet one's though, and the padding looks good as well:

have you tried the 3D version of this saddle in the meantime? I have the EVA version, which I like quite well. Now I need a second one for a different bike and am unsure if I should get the 3D one or an other EVA.

Yep, albeit not for longer rides than ~6h, unfortunately. I think on longer rides in particular, it might be ever so slightly more comfortable than the EVA version but in my butt's opinion, there's not much in it.

Hello all,
Does anyone have any real life experience with heavily curved 3D saddles like the Elita One 3DEX or GOLDIX PS-GLAXY 3D?
My sensitive sitbones get along well with such a shape as on the Selle SMP saddles.
I would like to know if the 3D honeycomb is soft or hard etc. I have a cheap Ryet 3D one but this is too flat and too hard for me.

I have the goldix version and it's hard under sitbones, which ryet 3d, the pro stealth copy? That was also fairly hard, but in long usage it never caused any excessive pressure, I just needed to lift my butt and could continue on.

It's correct that the Selle SMP saddles are hard as well but if the shape fits that is ok. Would you say that the Goldix shape/ fit is comparable to the SMP?

I was asking about the hardness because I do have another 3D printed one from LightCarbon, the SD01 which is very soft. Maybe too much so I found in the beginning as it was fine on the sitbones but it caused my butt/ leg to go to sleep after 1 hour. Over time with finetuning the angle it has grown on me and now feels very comfortable even on long rides without causing numbness.
Unfortunately LightCarbon charges $75 for shipping a saddle to EU, the same as for a full frameset. Hence my continuing quest....

I would say that Goldix shape is quite good. I like evo's shape most  and  second docici ( https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008391335012.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.510.7d0d18023RaRLn ). Third would be goldix and fourth Selle Smp dynamic (i dont like its shape. It is too round? for me)
