Sorry, didn't realise that foregoing at least an effort of good design was an acceptable sacrifice.
Oh get over yourself. We get it, you're not impressed.

No need to be a troll and thread crap in a vendor's thread. I'll add that this particular vendor is the only one that was willing to do this deal for the forum and at a much cheaper price.

The built out bikes aren't any different than most of the built out Chiners I've seen. It's not how I want mine built out, but that's why I ordered just the frame.

I'm sure Eddy would appreciate constructive feedback, constructive being the key.

please tell me that the hardware on the bike isn't being sent like the silver/orange bike above?
bolts and nyloc nuts?
I hope this is an early sample, but even so, I'm put right off by almost everything in that picture!
Sounds like it's time for you to move on. No reason to hang around here and get "put right off".

carbonality; I have two sets, completely happy and they are average 200$ cheaper than  Lightbicycle & BTLOS
 equivalent
Couldn't find anything from Carbonality on AE, lots of Carbonal though.

FM936: 'down country', 120mm travel - website says 100.  Can you link me to the one post here among hundreds where this is tested/determined to be 120mm ?
I got about 117 mm when I measured mine.  I degassed the shock, removed the rear wheel and used a jack to push up on the rear axle. Didn't push it too hard.

wow, thanks for that elgaucher...
things can ramp up quickly when you start to get good stuff on it.  damm...
makes me wonder if I should just get a INTENSE 951 from Costco and be done with it.  Lifetime warranty too. ugh.
If you're not the type to swap parts on your factory bike, you'd be much better off buying the Intense.

What is the effective seat angle on this?
75° according to the chart above.

Oneup 120mm is working great for me on a medium frame. I'm 172cm tall. It's just low enough to work well, anything with a taller stack height would be a problem for me.

For some reason half of the linkage is turning green on me lol. I noticed it was slightly not black when new, but now it's very green.

That's really weird, but I like that green color.

I use kayak keel guard for my downtube, flexible, good protection, inexpensive, works great.

I'm the same size on an SL. No issues over 6 months of riding but I don't beat on it. It's a great marathon type bike that climbs most everything better than my old hardtail.

Anyone having issues with the front shock mount bolt? Mine snapped right where it threads in to the frame  :-\

While browsing around I stumbled across this;

https://geracycles.com/2020-SPECIALIZED-STUMPJUMPER-EVO-CARBON-29-FRAMESET-ssecf29

Pretty sweet deal for a carbon frame and shock, Making me think of ditching current as ASWT are not warrantying the part...
You won't get anything from Gera. They're fraudsters

Haha, Stefan can post a build pic in nearly every thread. Hope you ordered an AM831 so we can see that build.

I've had good experiences with Lightbicycle & BTLOS

I really like the BTLOS shallow depth rims and my next wheels will probably another set from BTLOS.
Wouldn't recommend the shallow Btlos for a big guy. Mine are really flexy. They're the only carbon rims I've ever noticed flexing.

Eh, I don't trust that fully. Go pay on there and you'll probably get a message along the lines of "your frame is ready next week. please allow some days for finishing production as this is new model".

I got a message July 14 saying my small would be ready in a week and they'd message me when. Lol.

Also, ouch that price.
My assumption based on conversations I've had with different sellers when working on the group buy is that all these frames that match the 831 are coming from the same factory. I expect them to all start shipping about the same time.  Hopefully that will be soon.
