Hello. Are you a factory or a broker?
Do you have wider rims?
Do you offer carbon spoked wheels?
Do you offer rim beds without holes?
Do you do 100% T700 only, or do you have other carbon mixes?
Indicatively, how much for a 50mm deep, 29mm wide wheelset, with pillar wing 20 spokes, 6 bolt hubs, steel bearings, brass nipples? And weight? And shipping cost to Europe w DDP?

The wavy wheels look very similar to my set of wheels I bought from Yishun/Light Carbon a couple of years ago. Identical rim profile and specs, T700/800 carbon, and spoke options. If TAGOOLA has any dealings with Yishun/LC I'd say this is a solid value.

The new high-performance carbon spoke wheels have been designed and tested for durability, light weight and reliability. Here are the key features:
Wheel Depth: 50mm
Inner Width: 21mm
Spoke Count: 20H
Spoke Material: 3.4mm carbon spokes (lightweight and very strong)
Hubs: Custom designed hubs with steel bearings for smooth and long-lasting performance
Total Wheel Weight: 1200g.
To ensure these wheels meet the needs of serious riders, we conducted extensive testing. Here are the results:
1. Carbon Spoke Tensile Strength Test
The carbon spokes were tested to the breaking point and can withstand a maximum of 400kgf of tension before breaking. This shows excellent strength and reliability even under extreme loads.
2. Simulated Road Fatigue Test
The wheels were put through a simulated ride of 1000km at an average speed of 25km/h.
In this test, the wheels passed over 75,000 simulated obstacles to replicate real-world road conditions.
The wheels showed no signs of structural failure or noticeable wear, demonstrating their durability over long rides.
3. Torque fatigue testing
Front wheel: disc brake side tested 50,000 times under high torque conditions.
Rear wheel: disc brake side and drive side tested 50,000 times each.
The wheels maintained their integrity throughout the test, demonstrating excellent resistance to torque-related stresses, especially under heavy braking and acceleration.
What is the max rider weight for these?

I ordered a set of the GRL50C wheels with their standard hubs and Pillar wing spokes. To be honest it was not the easiest process to clarify requirements via Whatsapp and place the order on Aliexpress, but I'm comparing this with my experience of Lightbicycle who have a very slick operation. I am hoping that the end product is good quality and I'll give some feedback here when the wheels arrive.

If you guys spent some money on a western marketing firm to help you come up with a better name your DTC sales would be incredible. TAGOOLA. Sounds like a fake name from a fake company. Literally just spin a map of Europe and wherever you finger lands find the closest famous climb and name it that. Call it Covadonga, Podori or Finestri or name it after a Chinese mountain like Emei or Tai

Ok so how is this not just yishun? Every single profile is the same as yishun, the hubs also sold by yishun. The carbon spokes, yishun are the only manufacfurer I've seen offer a 3.4mm carbon spoke. What's the relation here?

Glad to hear you had a positive experience. Have you received the wheels yet?
As I said, I'm comparing with lightbicycle where there is a very detailed configurator, compared to a WhatsApp conversation to agree specs followed by an order on AliExpress for a generic item that matches the agreed price (but not the specs). I'm not saying my experience was negative, just that this company seems to be fairly new at dealing with individual customers.

I recently received my new wheelset from TAGOOLA and wanted to share my initial impressions. I opted for their wheels with 30mm external/23mm internal width wave rims, upgraded with Wing20 spokes.
Shipping & Packaging:
The shipping was remarkably quick, and everything arrived well-protected. The packaging was professional and secure. What really impressed me was the included quality inspection note and a printed overview of spoke tension measurements, complete with serial numbers - something I haven't seen before, even with more expensive wheels.
Technical Specifications:
External width: 30mm
Internal width: 23mm
Spoke type: Wing20
Total weight: 1,354g
Hub type: Straight pull with ratchet-style freehub
Tubeless-ready: Pre-taped with included valves
The weight is particularly impressive considering the rim width and price point. The hubs feature smooth-spinning, properly greased bearings. The wheels came tubeless-ready with pre-installed tape and included tubeless valves.
Customer Service:
There was a minor mix-up where I received a Shimano freehub body instead of the XDR body I ordered. After a quick message to customer service, they shipped the correct XDR body within two hours - that's exceptional service in my book!
Value:
The total price, including shipping, was excellent for the quality and specifications offered. These wheels present a great value proposition, especially considering the build quality and included accessories.
So far, I'm very impressed with both the wheels and the company's service. I'll update this review once I've put some serious miles on them.

Tagged price was 411.32 + shipping via seller shipping method - to avoid customs.
I've edited my post because final price all depends on your country and tax regime. This way I don't mislead anyone. You can always contact matter
Matter mentioned some lighter rims, but I was on the edge of my clients total purchase budget. If it was for me I'd have probably gone for that.
Without the aliexpress discounts is more or less on the same price of my ex wheel provider

But using the discount codes, VAT deduction, etc, it took the price down. It all depends on your country and tax regime
I paid around 340 total price if I'm not mistaken. Can confirm later.

Depths 50mm
Outerwidth 28mm

Is it possible to have rim with no nipple holes and with a different profile for the two wheels?
I ask the question again: @Matter is it possible to have a wheelset with depths 50mm front and 55/60mm rear (23C and external width >30mm)?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply, too bad it's only available with asymmetric rims.
Are you planning to extend the option to symmetric rims?

No, I asked for a wheelset with symmetrical rims, but different depths front and rear....see the images attached to the first post. ;)

Did you request the tubeless tape and valves or were they already included in the price?
Did you find the wheels on Aliexpress or did you request them with the specific ones?
I don't see them on Aliexpress.
Thanks

Both were included!
I asked them if they could upgrade the rim(saw the rims in this topic) and spokes of the wheels i ordered trough aliexpress.
That was no problem at all! After i paid the difference it was shipped quickly.

Just ordered the DAO40 gravel wheelset. Not planning to use them with gravel wheels but as the best aero option for 32mm road tires. It's great you guys have some rims with bigger external widths, shops that only offer 28mm are seriously outdated.
Paid 320€ total including shipping during the aliexpress sale, very happy with the price.
Will post an update once they get here.

Hi,
taking advantage of the Aliexpress discounts, last week I ordered a set of OptimaX Light 50mm with updated 23C rims.
I was hesitant to go with a 60mm depth for the rear rim, but in the end I confirmed both 50mm depth.
I can't wait for them to arrive!
EDIT: I was satisfied with their availability and speed in responding to my questions and requests.

I also took that opportunity to buy them as training and travel wheels, I went for the DAO50 the wave ones. I am curious to report back here how they are, I paid more or less the same as RazorRamon (316 euro) For this price compared to my elite Drive wheels are they 1/3 of the price, I know it's a user object but I want to keep them nice and shiny and then I can do whatever I want with the Tagoola's. I'm afraid of the car cargo bicycle carrier, that it will scratch the wheels.

I received the wheelset today. 1360 gr for the wave 50 with wing20 spokes and 23/30 width. Wheels look great. Everything seems to be top quality. For now the biggest advantage was the communication. The best I have ever had with buying parts from AliExpress. He even did a follow up when I clicked the order as received.
Can't wait to try them on the road in Canada!

The wheelset I ordered through the AliExpress store arrived today. Remarkably only 6 days to make it from Xiameng to Chicago.

Currently, we have 60mm deep rims in stock (two sets of wheels), and the weight of a single rim is 460g. With a custom hub (using Enduro ABEC 3 bearings) + cxray, it weighs 1455g ± 5%
-

Currently, the stock of this 23mm inner width rim is limited and not suitable for listing on AliExpress. Most of the products on our AliExpress are in stock and can be shipped within two to three days. Just to provide good service

I have just received my wheelset : Light version - 45 mm depth - 30 mm external width - Brass nipples - CX-ray spokes - DT 240 exp hub.
The pros :
- Fast shipping and package is well protected
- Communication. They answered to all my questions and gave me some advices
- Rim tape is already installed (it looks the same as the Giant wheelset rimtape), great quality
- Quality looks amazing
- In the package, they put the tension summary. It is the first time that I see a brand to do this.
The cons :
- To not have discovered the brand before.
I have not tested them yet and I will complete my review after tested them. But they looks amazing and the quality looks perfect and very well finished.
So far, I strongly recommand this brand.
-
I have also just received my wheelset the DAO50 Wave. Got them quite quickly and I will use them for training and traveling.
Quite content about it and I have tested them for a short round today, all seems good so far.
I got the CN Aero416 spokes with their own brand Sram XDR hub. Weight is 1386 grams in total. Tire + inner tube + 160mm disc under 1 kg (971 gram)
-
I received mine a couple of days ago. 50mm depth asymmetric gravel rims, ratchet hubs, pillar wing spokes, brass nipples, drain holes, 1380g.
They arrived in perfect condition, complete with rim tape and valves installed and a spoke tension report. I could easily mount tubeless tyres (without any additional tape, compressor etc).
I requested the drain holes and I'm not sure it's a standard offering for them. The holes could be slightly cleaner but hopefully they don't cause any issues.
There was a small amount of grease under the end caps, and red grease on the freehub ratchet rings. On the rear hub the rotor lockring seemed to foul the NDS end cap slightly but the rotor still mounted ok.
After about 130km the freehub is getting slightly louder (it was almost silent to begin with). There was quite a lot of friction from the ratchet to start with, and it is still causing some chain slap when freewheeling over bumps or when I stop pedalling abruptly. I'm hoping this is something that improves as the ratchets wear in.
Overall I'm very happy so far and I wasn't expecting this level of quality for the price.

I received my wheelset a few weeks ago, communication was good but i agree the aliexpress payment method is awkward as i had to pay tax on a the top up payment. Quality seems good and tubeless setup was very simple, loving 25mm internal width with 32c tyres

Just pulled the trigger on a pair of wheels with expedited shipping hoping to make the May 2nd cutoff. Just heard US tariff rate jumped to a ridiculous 90% with a $50 fee. That would make this $375 pair of wheels almost $800 all said and done if it doesn't get here on time.
Contemplating canceling it. What do you guys think the chances are it gets here in time?

Just ordered a set of DAO Bridge50 wave wheels with upgraded hubs, CNaero 416 spokes, 23 mm rim width, laser silver logo and ShimanoHG! Incredible value for the specs and hopefully they'll roll nicely.
Ordering process was great and @Matter helped a lot with customization. Can't wait to receive them and try them.

It also seems like they're rebranding as Unasog? Didn't think they'd come up with a worse name than Tagoola but there ya go

What should be mentioned: I ordered a wheelset Optimax , 38mm, as clincher. The other option was tubeless.
The clincher is hookless, it is not stated in the description. I can live with that, but would be nice to get the information before ordering. The wheelset itself is very nice, the pair is around 1.270 grams

Hookless non-tubeless clincher rims? That doesn't make sense, hookless rims are unsafe to use with clincher tyres.

Serious? I would have preferred hookless especially for my gravel tires! I have zero issue with hookless and they're easier to bead with just a floor pump. Darn, I guess I'll have to live with hooked safety.
My all-road wheels are currently in Alaska. Ship date is for the 21st of this month! Crossing fingers!

I think clincher simply means you have to put rim tape on the rim bed whereas for tubeless you don't have to use rim tape? I do agree they don't make it clear that its hookless (it is mentioned somewhere in an image as a sidenote). That is an important factor and should be clear in the title.
-
As I said, I can live with that but I had to buy new tyres (they recommend tubeless tyres) I bought GP5000 clincher tyres before.
-
Can you measure the inner width? Tagoola rims are made by yishun. They don't list these in hookless, only in mini-hook and tubular. If these mini hooks are actually worth anything, who knows? The recommendation is pretty poorly written too.

Recommended for tubeless. The recommended tire pressure for open tires is no more than 90. We have hookless rims with 24mm inner width

Just stay away from hookless cuz they are short term fashion and they aren't safe. Even pro's are abandoning them.

+1. Hookless is retarded for road use. Zipp has been pushing hookless. Zipp is SRAM, SRAM has been engineering backwards for the last 10y, it's actually impressive how dumb their "innovations" have been.
small chainrings are dumb.
10T cog is dumb.
Pushing 1x because you can't get the FD to shift properly is dumb
using DOT fluid when everybody else is using mineral oil is dumb
flat top chains are dumb
hookless is dumb, and dangerous.
not putting a USB charging port on the SRAM batteries is dumb.
Wavy wheels are a dumb design that only serves marketing.
dimples on wheels are a dumb design that only serves marketing.
afaik, only the latest sram red hydro brakes as well as shimano. Up until then, shimano was simply braking better. Maybe this was legacy, as sram red rim brake was notorious for braking poorly (and i can attest to that).
I'm sure there's more, that's just off the top of my head.

Wanted to give an update. Ordered a wheelset on 16th, shipped on 17th and today on 21st its here at my door in Seattle, USA delivered couple of minutes ago (via Fedex). Discounting the weekend it took just one business day for delivery.
Many thanks for sticking to your word and getting it shipped as promised with fastest delivery possible @Matter.
For people in the USA who like to live on the edge, I think there is still time to get your wheelsets ;D

Nothing fancy, their Optimax set in 38mm depth. The IW is 22~mm and weight is 1310 grams with tubeless tape + valves (already installed). So I am guessing the bare weight is right on the money as claimed. Going on a SuperSix Evo frame which is my first disc brake budget weight-weeny build.

I was planning on putting the Tagoola All-Road wheelset on my gravel bike, but opted to try running 30c tires with the wider 24.2mm internal width on my R088 road bike. The wheels came with a tension chart for each wheel, a free pedal keychain, but sadly no spare spokes. I ordered my wheels with XD, but since I opted to use them on my road bike, I swapped out the XD for an HG freehub I had laying around. Wheels came pre-taped, plus they came with air valves installed. Mounting the tires were fairly easy and I was able to bead both tires with just a floor pump. Anyways, probably the last purchase I'm making from AliExpress. ;D
-
No extra spokes in mine either. But tension chart is there, signed by the mech and are taped with valve installed. What freehub did you put on? Does it take standard DT Swiss hub? I saw the star ratchets inside .

Yes, mine came with a DT Swiss style hub with a 36t ratchet. I just put on a spare Goldix HG freehub from my parts bin. Seems to work fine. I also have a 54t ratchet kit I picked up, but I haven't decided which wheelset will get the conversion.

No! Clicher means that there is a hook in the rim bed that holds (clinches) the tire so it doesn't slip over the rim wall. I have clincher rims without need to put tape because they have no nipple holes.
For tubeless rims with nipple holes you must put the tape.
-

Not that straightforward and depends on the brand. Some Chinese brands when they mention tubeless, it is a rim without nipple holes and thus don't need a tape so you are ready for tubeless tires right away. Whereas clincher rim needs rim tape. Clincher is term used mostly for the tires and not rims but when they mention it for wheels, it's usually rims with nipple holes. It's unfortunate the terms are all mixed up causing the confusion.
The rims with hooks in them to lock the bead of the tire are hooked rims and those without hook are, well, hook less. The issue in this particular brand is they don't clearly mention if it's hooked or hook less.
-

Lol did you just suggest for PLA to kill himself? It's a forum about chinese bikes, surely we dont need to tell each other to die, right, however much we disagree with each other?

Our brand of rims all have nut holes, in order to take care of the experience of most customers. Subsequent wheel sets sold by our brand will be pre-installed with vacuum tape and valves free of charge. It does not matter whether you use open tires or tubeless tires. Today we have optimized the options and instructions of OPTINAX products, and added ceramic bearings and MS freehub options;

I've just received the wheels I ordered on May 26.
It was shipped on April 2nd to the EU so all-in-all standard times. They took a bit longer to ship because they had to be built. It was properly communicated so all good.
They have the standard rim, and weight with caps, valve and tape is 1490g which should bring it down to the announced 1465g without tape, valve and caps.
The hub sound is OK. Not too loud (thank god) especially compared to the elite wheels elite one I have on mine - which I hate).
It came with some nice gifts, though as mentioned I it would be nice to inclide 2 extra spokes too.
For 319€, delivered home, without custom duties. Seems fairly unbeatable.
They will be used to build the super budget bike for a client. A full carbon bike, hydraulic 11s, integrated cable for under 999€. All with new parts.
Full build will take a while, but will do a 6months review to keep you guys updated when the client comes for maintenance -after summer.
So far, Matter and his company have mu highly recommend stamp and will become my wheel supplier if all goes well.

I purchased the DAO 40 gravel wheels. I guess they're called Aeroraptor now? No spare spokes either, but also came taped with valves installed. I had bought some purple valves to match my frame, but wondering if its worth the hassle at this point to swith them out.
After massive store and sale coupons it came out to $373.54 WITH expedited shipping. Smoking deal I couldn't pass up.
(thanks to those guys that posts coupons in the other thread)
My only concerns are the no name alloy nipples and the decals that look like they can come off pretty easily.
Waiting on a bb and cassette to come in to build up my BXT 135. Will post pics here and in my build thread when complete.

Lol did you just suggest for PLA to kill himself? It's a forum about chinese bikes, surely we dont need to tell each other to die, right, however much we disagree with each other?
Naw I was just suggesting he go diving in the Seine River while looking for unexploded WW2 shells! ;)

The decals do come off easy, I accidentally rubbed mine off while installing my tires. I ended up just removing all the decals. Yeah, the discount codes did really help to lower the prices on these wheels. :)

I saw that change too. Would have preferred that sticker on mine but at least the dao sticker they put on is cute and easily removable!

What a shame!
I like the DAO decals, and would have gladly left them....but if they come off easily, I'll have to remove them. :(

I like them too. If I was a little braver, I’d risk spraying a little clear coat over them.

I did not buy the Tagoola wheelset but the CSC. Shipped in 3 days from Madrid I choose the 40mm , 24.5inner diameter and 54t ratchet hub for 380€ shipped
I paired with 25mm tubeless tyre and 28mm tubeless tyre and run 800km on it without any problem (despite the wide inner channel)
Weight 1420g (w/o valve and tape)

Received my DAO40 All Road over a week ago and rode a little over 200km on the set. I requested extra spoke and they happily gave me three. Like others, I got the extra key chain and even a water bottle for Chinertown special. The wheelset themselves have been great. Setting up the tubeless was made easy with the already installed rim tape. Considering it was $350 including tax and shipping (after AE coupons), this was such a great deal! I did not choose expedited shipping and AE somehow shipped mine over the sea - it took over three weeks to be delivered from order.

Mine are in Canada, says the 29th delivery. Exciting!

Wheels delivered (DAO Optimax Light)!
Good packaging, nice wheels and as ordered.
The wheels arrived already taped and with tubeless valves installed....the tape seems to be very sturdy, let's hope it is valid and that it does not play tricks (I'm used to rim brake wheels with closed rim).
Since these are my first disc wheels, I only have one doubt: removing the transparent plastic protection, I also left a part of the hub in my hand (see black piece in the photo).... is this normal?
Thanks

It happens sometimes. You just have to put it again.

Mounted tires on my DAO Optimax wheels today and went for a short ride.
I gotta say these are the easiest wheels I have ever had to mount tubeless Panaracer GK tires at home. All my previous attempts eventually led to taking the wheels to LBS but not these. The hook less / mini hook design obviously helps and Panaracers settled on it right away in the first go. No leaky sealant, no frustration with the tires not seating, no air escaping. Smooth as it could be, using the manual floor pump I have at home. I'm super glad with the setup.
As for the short ride of 20 miles, the wheels rolled well - I couldn't differentiate between these and much expensive ICAN, Far sports wheels I have. The freehub is not loud at all and I'm thankful for that. My Elite wheels are loud af in comparison.
1250~ grams, 38mm, star ratchet, CX ray spokes, tape and valve installed to perfection from factory and 3 day shipping all for $450. Couldn't ask for more.

My DAO Optimax Light 50mm and 23C (star ratchet + CX ray spokes) weigh about 1400g with tape and valves installed.... ::)

mounted a set of GP5000 AS TR 32mm on my DAO 50 wave. Did a 60km ride today. Never had carbon wheels or GP5000s before, so can't compare, but bike is definitely quicker and holds speed more. Set a bunch of PRs and avg speed was higher on strava. But again, probably more tires than anything, but Im pleased with them. Tires mounted fairly easily, set up tubeless. Had to redo the front as I somehow mounted the tire backwards ::)
The downside, after I flipped the tire, I forgot to align the logo with the valve. sigh

What about the stifness of these wheels can i compare them with rovals?
-
Ordered yesterday: 50mm high, 21mm internal width, and new hubs.
Curious to see how they perform—if they turn out well, maybe the rest of the club will want in too.
Hopefully they get delivered soon, I’m really looking forward to trying them out.

Expecting a $400 wheelset to perform like a $2000 wheelset is not realistic. I'm just hoping they ride well and the hubs last.

Performance may not be the same, but reliability is not necessarily inferior...just this morning I was reading on an Italian forum about a user who, due to some spokes breaking on his Roval Alpinist CLX, fell and injured himself quite seriously.

Isn't it? Castelli sells bibs for 200 eur, and jerseys for 150 eur. It's 300g of nylon. Nylon is a by product of oil refining, give or take, it's virtually free.
As a friend wrote me this AM, "People simply buy it… they can afford paying so much".
So, not saying both wheelsets would be the same (i dont even know which sets we're talking here), BUT paying up doesnt mean you automatically get better stuff (and in 100% of cases, if there is betterment from 400 to 2000, it is NOT linear), shit's way more nuanced than that.

I ordered a wheelset : 45 mm deep / 23 mm internal / DT 240 exp hub / CX-ray spokes / brass nipples.
Weight is so nice.
Here is a picture. They were so fast to build them and the communication was amazing. The seller helped lot.
So far, I strongly recommand them.
First (short) ride of 40 km with my wheelset :
The pros :
- lightweight and easy to accelerate (after a stop for exemple)
- no problem for climbing
- no problem in crosswind (almost 30 km/h)
- Stiff when sprinting (no disc rubbing)
- I have not ridden on bad tarmac so I can say anything about it
- when you have the wind behind or you go downhill, speed is great
- no instability at 53 km/h
The con :
- No drain hole. I did not know that you have to ask them a hole before ordering. I thought that all brands do this. So I guess it is my fault. I am curious to ride under the rain or after washed my bike.
NB : Chaoyang tire looks great too but I need more rides.

My only update after about 2000km is that the freehub is now a lot freer (no more dropped chains!) and a lot louder! Other than that they wheels have been trouble-free and I'm still very happy with them.

Wheels look great, but really the whole bike is looking incredibly good. What model is that ?

That is the BXT gravel frame with custom decal I that cut myself, since I have one of those vinyl cutter at home. I have to agree that the bike is such a good looking bike! It's been fantastic so far.

You have good sense for style. I know how I'm asking for decals if I do my next build
