Rim width: We provide a series of popular widths (18/21/22/23mm inner width) to meet market demand.
Carbon fiber spokes and hubs: Currently under development and testing, not yet promoted.
Holeless rims: Available for OEM customization (minimum order: 10 rims).

The wavy wheels look very similar to my set of wheels I bought from Yishun/Light Carbon a couple of years ago. Identical rim profile and specs, T700/800 carbon, and spoke options. If TAGOOLA has any dealings with Yishun/LC I'd say this is a solid value.

To be honest it was not the easiest process to clarify requirements via Whatsapp and place the order on Aliexpress, but I'm comparing this with my experience of Lightbicycle who have a very slick operation. I am hoping that the end product is good quality and I'll give some feedback here when the wheels arrive.

Literally just spin a map of Europe and wherever you finger lands find the closest famous climb and name it that. Call it Covadonga, Podori or Finestri or name it after a Chinese mountain like Emei or Tai

Ok so how is this not just yishun? Every single profile is the same as yishun, the hubs also sold by yishun. The carbon spokes, yishun are the only manufacfurer I've seen offer a 3.4mm carbon spoke. What's the relation here?

I'm not saying my experience was negative, just that this company seems to be fairly new at dealing with individual customers.

I recently received my new wheelset from TAGOOLA and wanted to share my initial impressions. I opted for their wheels with 30mm external/23mm internal width wave rims, upgraded with Wing20 spokes.

I asked them if they could upgrade the rim(saw the rims in this topic) and spokes of the wheels i ordered trough aliexpress.
That was no problem at all! After i paid the difference it was shipped quickly.

Just ordered the DAO40 gravel wheelset. Not planning to use them with gravel wheels but as the best aero option for 32mm road tires. It's great you guys have some rims with bigger external widths, shops that only offer 28mm are seriously outdated.

I also took that opportunity to buy them as training and travel wheels, I went for the DAO50 the wave ones. I am curious to report back here how they are, I paid more or less the same as RazorRamon (316 euro) For this price compared to my elite Drive wheels are they 1/3 of the price, I know it's a user object but I want to keep them nice and shiny and then I can do whatever I want with the Tagoola's. I'm afraid of the car cargo bicycle carrier, that it will scratch the wheels.
Paid 320€ total including shipping during the aliexpress sale, very happy with the price.

I received the wheelset today. 1360 gr for the wave 50 with wing20 spokes and 23/30 width. Wheels look great. Everything seems to be top quality. For now the biggest advantage was the communication. The best I have ever had with buying parts from AliExpress. He even did a follow up when I clicked the order as received.
Can't wait to try them on the road in Canada!

I have just received my wheelset : Light version - 45 mm depth - 30 mm external width - Brass nipples - CX-ray spokes - DT 240 exp hub.
The pros :
- Fast shipping and package is well protected
- Communication. They answered to all my questions and gave me some advices
- Rim tape is already installed (it looks the same as the Giant wheelset rimtape), great quality
- Quality looks amazing
- In the package, they put the tension summary. It is the first time that I see a brand to do this.
The cons :
- To not have discovered the brand before.
I have not tested them yet and I will complete my review after tested them. But they looks amazing and the quality looks perfect and very well finished.
So far, I strongly recommand this brand.

I have also just received my wheelset the DAO50 Wave. Got them quite quickly and I will use them for training and traveling.
Quite content about it and I have tested them for a short round today, all seems good so far.
I got the CN Aero416 spokes with their own brand Sram XDR hub. Weight is 1386 grams in total. Tire + inner tube + 160mm disc under 1 kg (971 gram)

I received mine a couple of days ago. 50mm depth asymmetric gravel rims, ratchet hubs, pillar wing spokes, brass nipples, drain holes, 1380g.
They arrived in perfect condition, complete with rim tape and valves installed and a spoke tension report. I could easily mount tubeless tyres (without any additional tape, compressor etc).
I requested the drain holes and I'm not sure it's a standard offering for them. The holes could be slightly cleaner but hopefully they don't cause any issues.
There was a small amount of grease under the end caps, and red grease on the freehub ratchet rings. On the rear hub the rotor lockring seemed to foul the NDS end cap slightly but the rotor still mounted ok.
After about 130km the freehub is getting slightly louder (it was almost silent to begin with). There was quite a lot of friction from the ratchet to start with, and it is still causing some chain slap when freewheeling over bumps or when I stop pedalling abruptly. I'm hoping this is something that improves as the ratchets wear in.
Overall I'm very happy so far and I wasn't expecting this level of quality for the price.

Hookless non-tubeless clincher rims? That doesn't make sense, hookless rims are unsafe to use with clincher tyres.

Serious? I would have preferred hookless especially for my gravel tires! I have zero issue with hookless and they're easier to bead with just a floor pump. Darn, I guess I'll have to live with hooked safety.

I think clincher simply means you have to put rim tape on the rim bed whereas for tubeless you don't have to use rim tape? I do agree they don't make it clear that its hookless (it is mentioned somewhere in an image as a sidenote). That is an important factor and should be clear in the title.

As I said, I can live with that but I had to buy new tyres (they recommend tubeless tyres) I bought GP5000 clincher tyres before.

Can you measure the inner width? Tagoola rims are made by yishun. They don't list these in hookless, only in mini-hook and tubular. If these mini hooks are actually worth anything, who knows? The recommendation is pretty poorly written too.

Recommended for tubeless. The recommended tire pressure for open tires is no more than 90. We have hookless rims with 24mm inner width

Just stay away from hookless cuz they are short term fashion and they aren't safe. Even pro's are abandoning them.

Wanted to give an update. Ordered a wheelset on 16th, shipped on 17th and today on 21st its here at my door in Seattle, USA delivered couple of minutes ago (via Fedex). Discounting the weekend it took just one business day for delivery.

Nothing fancy, their Optimax set in 38mm depth. The IW is 22~mm and weight is 1310 grams with tubeless tape + valves (already installed). So I am guessing the bare weight is right on the money as claimed. Going on a SuperSix Evo frame which is my first disc brake budget weight-weeny build.

I was planning on putting the Tagoola All-Road wheelset on my gravel bike, but opted to try running 30c tires with the wider 24.2mm internal width on my R088 road bike. The wheels came with a tension chart for each wheel, a free pedal keychain, but sadly no spare spokes. I ordered my wheels with XD, but since I opted to use them on my road bike, I swapped out the XD for an HG freehub I had laying around. Wheels came pre-taped, plus they came with air valves installed. Mounting the tires were fairly easy and I was able to bead both tires with just a floor pump. Anyways, probably the last purchase I'm making from AliExpress. ;D

Yes, mine came with a DT Swiss style hub with a 36t ratchet. I just put on a spare Goldix HG freehub from my parts bin. Seems to work fine. I also have a 54t ratchet kit I picked up, but I haven't decided which wheelset will get the conversion.

Subsequent wheel sets sold by our brand will be pre-installed with vacuum tape and valves free of charge. It does not matter whether you use open tires or tubeless tires. I've just received the wheels I ordered on May 26.
It was shipped on April 2nd to the EU so all-in-all standard times. They took a bit longer to ship because they had to be built. It was properly communicated so all good.
They have the standard rim, and weight with caps, valve and tape is 1490g which should bring it down to the announced 1465g without tape, valve and caps.
The hub sound is OK. Not too loud (thank god) especially compared to the elite wheels elite one I have on mine - which I hate).
It came with some nice gifts, though as mentioned I it would be nice to inclide 2 extra spokes too.
For 319€, delivered home, without custom duties. Seems fairly unbeatable.
They will be used to build the super budget bike for a client. A full carbon bike, hydraulic 11s, integrated cable for under 999€. All with new parts.
Full build will take a while, but will do a 6months review to keep you guys updated when the client comes for maintenance -after summer.
So far, Matter and his company have mu highly recommend stamp and will become my wheel supplier if all goes well.

I purchased the DAO 40 gravel wheels. I guess they're called Aeroraptor now? No spare spokes either, but also came taped with valves installed. I had bought some purple valves to match my frame, but wondering if its worth the hassle at this point to swith them out.
After massive store and sale coupons it came out to $373.54 WITH expedited shipping. Smoking deal I couldn't pass up.

I did not buy the Tagoola wheelset but the CSC. Shipped in 3 days from Madrid I choose the 40mm , 24.5inner diameter and 54t ratchet hub for 380€ shipped
I paired with 25mm tubeless tyre and 28mm tubeless tyre and run 800km on it without any problem (despite the wide inner channel)
Weight 1420g (w/o valve and tape)

Received my DAO40 All Road over a week ago and rode a little over 200km on the set. I requested extra spoke and they happily gave me three. Like others, I got the extra key chain and even a water bottle for Chinertown special. The wheelset themselves have been great. Setting up the tubeless was made easy with the already installed rim tape. Considering it was $350 including tax and shipping (after AE coupons), this was such a great deal! I did not choose expedited shipping and AE somehow shipped mine over the sea - it took over three weeks to be delivered from order.

Mounted tires on my DAO Optimax wheels today and went for a short ride.
I gotta say these are the easiest wheels I have ever had to mount tubeless Panaracer GK tires at home. All my previous attempts eventually led to taking the wheels to LBS but not these. The hook less / mini hook design obviously helps and Panaracers settled on it right away in the first go. No leaky sealant, no frustration with the tires not seating, no air escaping. Smooth as it could be, using the manual floor pump I have at home. I'm super glad with the setup.
As for the short ride of 20 miles, the wheels rolled well - I couldn't differentiate between these and much expensive ICAN, Far sports wheels I have. The freehub is not loud at all and I'm thankful for that. My Elite wheels are loud af in comparison.
1250~ grams, 38mm, star ratchet, CX ray spokes, tape and valve installed to perfection from factory and 3 day shipping all for $450. Couldn't ask for more.

mounted a set of GP5000 AS TR 32mm on my DAO 50 wave. Did a 60km ride today. Never had carbon wheels or GP5000s before, so can't compare, but bike is definitely quicker and holds speed more. Set a bunch of PRs and avg speed was higher on strava. But again, probably more tires than anything, but Im pleased with them. Tires mounted fairly easily, set up tubeless. Had to redo the front as I somehow mounted the tire backwards ::)
The downside, after I flipped the tire, I forgot to align the logo with the valve. sigh

Performance may not be the same, but reliability is not necessarily inferior...just this morning I was reading on an Italian forum about a user who, due to some spokes breaking on his Roval Alpinist CLX, fell and injured himself quite seriously.

I ordered a wheelset : 45 mm deep / 23 mm internal / DT 240 exp hub / CX-ray spokes / brass nipples.
Weight is so nice.
Here is a picture. They were so fast to build them and the communication was amazing. The seller helped lot.
So far, I strongly recommand them.
First (short) ride of 40 km with my wheelset :
The pros :
- lightweight and easy to accelerate (after a stop for exemple)
- no problem for climbing
- no problem in crosswind (almost 30 km/h)
- Stiff when sprinting (no disc rubbing)
- I have not ridden on bad tarmac so I can say anything about it
- when you have the wind behind or you go downhill, speed is great
- no instability at 53 km/h
The con :
- No drain hole. I did not know that you have to ask them a hole before ordering. I thought that all brands do this. So I guess it is my fault. I am curious to ride under the rain or after washed my bike.
NB : Chaoyang tire looks great too but I need more rides.

I received mine a couple of days ago. 50mm depth asymmetric gravel rims, ratchet hubs, pillar wing spokes, brass nipples, drain holes, 1380g.
They arrived in perfect condition, complete with rim tape and valves installed and a spoke tension report. I could easily mount tubeless tyres (without any additional tape, compressor etc).
I requested the drain holes and I'm not sure it's a standard offering for them. The holes could be slightly cleaner but hopefully they don't cause any issues.
There was a small amount of grease under the end caps, and red grease on the freehub ratchet rings. On the rear hub the rotor lockring seemed to foul the NDS end cap slightly but the rotor still mounted ok.
After about 130km the freehub is getting slightly louder (it was almost silent to begin with). There was quite a lot of friction from the ratchet to start with, and it is still causing some chain slap when freewheeling over bumps or when I stop pedalling abruptly. I'm hoping this is something that improves as the ratchets wear in.
Overall I'm very happy so far and I wasn't expecting this level of quality for the price.
My only update after about 2000km is that the freehub is now a lot freer (no more dropped chains!) and a lot louder! Other than that they wheels have been trouble-free and I'm still very happy with them.

Just received my wheelset yesterday... they look and feel fantastic!
Ordered Wave50 set with CNAero 416 spokes and upgraded (10 g heavier but sturdier hubs). Wheels came well packed and protected, the box was a bit crumbled during the transport but the set was undamaged and fine in the box. They came with preinstalled rim tape and tubeless valves and with a spoke tension certificate (will check with a tool and report).
Hubs are DT SW style so hopefully they'll be easy to service. By the first feel, they spin nicely and look aesthetically pleasing but I need to test them. Will install Conti GP5000 32 mm and Ultegra 160 mm rotors and see how they ride.
Total weight is 1450 g for both wheels without valves (I use TPU tubes) so it's in the +/-5 % of claimed weight of 1380 g. Just wish the spare spokes were included with the set.
Communication with the seller was fantastic and shipping took from April 27th to May 19th by DPD so less than a month.
Let's see how they ride and I will report back.

I drove now several times on the DAO50 Wave from Tagoola (1386 gram) and compared to my Elite Drive D65 (1516 gram) they are very good with crosswinds (obviously) but I'm amazed how much easier it is, even though they are also "deep" 45-50mm. As an addition the steelspokes sounds awesome compared to my carbon spokes from the elite wheels so, I would give that a plus as well. The hub is a bit disappointing but yeah you can't compare that to a middle tier wheelset of 944 euro. These are I think entry level (316 euro) and the price/quality is also what you pay for.
I'm just 300 km in, and I'm pretty content with them. I tested them with Pirelli P-zero race RS and Maxxis Highroads SL, both easy to put on the wheel. I think the rolling resistance is a bit better for the Pirelli's, but it's almost not noticeable for me. I bought and tried the Highroads because they are lighter (184 gram instead of 243 gram), without considering that the rolling resistance might be more.
In total the wheelset from Tagoola is 200 grams lighter with tires, inner tpu, discs and cassette on it compared to the Elite drives. But then again I should have compared them to the Elite D50 maybe but then there was no point of getting them, I wanted the 65mm and now I have a bit shallower so of course they are lighter less material, but then heavier spokes.
Anyway I happy with either wheelset but I just wanted to share my experience with it

An update on DAO Wave50 wheelset
Just received them 3 days ago and they came packet securely in the box, each wheel in the separate bag and with an extras bag (build report, spoke tension report, keyring). The box came a bit crumpled but the wheels were intact.
Out of box they looked nicely done and soooo light compared to my Merlin CDR-2 50/40 carbon set. Aesthetically they look nice and almost premium with brushed silver decals which are simple.
Hubs look good, DT SW looking internals with ratchet system, everything well made and hopefully interchangeable with DT parts. I went with CNAero416 spokes. Rims are on spot 30 mm wide with 23 mm internal width, pre-taped with what looks like Orange Seal rim tape and with tubeless valves installed. Total weight without valves is 1450 g for a set which falls into claimed 1380 g +/-5%.
Getting the GP 5000 tires went fine with only hands and they popped out nicely with a regular floor pump around 5 bars. I sue RideNow TPU's cuz I don't like tubeless mess. Wheels are paired aslo with Ultegra 160 mm rotors.
First (short) ride - they are on a stiffer side and roll nicely but I need to test them in the crosswinds and on climbs and descends. The hub sound is nice and not too loud and there's no sticking of the freehub while coasting etc. Need more testing but the weather here is poor so I'll report back later.
Wish only they came with a few extra spokes.
Communication with the seller was superb and nicest exeperience I had buying stuff online! Recommended.

Overall Ive been very pleased with these wheels. Crosswinds don't seem terrible. My stock alum wheels may have felt worse tbh. I kick myself for not asking for a spare spoke or two, but hopefully that won't be an issue down the road. But ya, really like these wheels. Feel quick.

Yesterday I took wheels for a proper ride, bit of a climbing, some flats and a long descends, all in a winds with gusts up to 80 km/h. Wheels are definitely on the stiff side, my bike is already very stiff so I felt a difference compared to my previous carbon wheels. Road chatter is easily picked up and you can feel it on your hands, especially on the hoods, but not that much in the drops. Sidewinds do affect the wheels but not that much and this is what I really cannot fully confirm. I felt few wind pushes from the side but mostly the wheels are balanced and stable. On the flats they roll nicely and I was able to hold my power around 350W and maintain a speed of 45 km/h with compact crankset (34/50). During the descends wheels are nice and they are not twitchy.
I am not a pro rider and I didn't tested a ton of other wheels but I can say they are worth the money and they are upgrade over my 1000 EUR wheels. A bit on the stiff side but that could be good thing. No problems so far and I also backordered a few spare spokes from Matter.

I use Merlin CDR-2 wheelset but I guess the difference is in the spokes. And what 100 € wheels you're talking about? Off course carbon spokes are stiffer but everything depends on lacing and tensioning.

A small issue with m Tagoola all-road wheels. The surface coating of the rims suck. I find them hard to clean. What might require a damp cloth to wipe down for my other wheelsets, I have to use an alcohol spray and several passes to wipe the Tagoola wheels from tubeless sealant or stray grease.

Had to use a soft hammer to get the rotor in place, two taps was ok. Np after first fit but it's a minor remark.
And I have a stand where i true wheels when I build them. Was minor again.

Have to say I'm impressed with the roadfeel on these wheels. Bombed some hills where I know wind always has play, they are stable in crosswinds.
The hub has a nice sound, decent acceleration for what it's worth. At this price point one of the better wheels you can buy on AliEx.

I'm currently looking at the "All Road" rims. Any disadvantages to them being asymmetrical? in my research, it seems like maybe aerodynamics? And of course the aesthetics of it (this is important too!) ;).

A small issue with m Tagoola all-road wheels. The surface coating of the rims suck. I find them hard to clean. What might require a damp cloth to wipe down for my other wheelsets, I have to use an alcohol spray and several passes to wipe the Tagoola wheels from tubeless sealant or stray grease.
I've noticed this too. Stains or something on the wheels where I can only assume water or something has been on the wheel but left a circular stain and doesnt seem to want to come off during a normal cleaning.

Sharing my recent experience with Tagoola, ordered two wheelsets from them through AliExpress:

Weight came in at around 1460g with rim tape, if I recall correctly - seems in line with the 1430g advertised (without tape)
The wheels are mounted on my Waltly custom all road with 38mm supple tires and TPU tubes.
Shaved off almost 600g versus my previous aluminum wheels with durable tires.
Asked for no decals, shipped with tubeless valves and two spare spokes.
Rim bed has holes, which is fine for me and is covered with Kapton like tape.
Wheels are true, excellent ride feel for an all road bike.
After some vouchers and with the seller's shipping method that includes delivery & tax for shipping to Europe, Germany, I paid slightly below 400 EUR.
At this price this is an excellent set of wheels for all road and gravel bikes.

Opted for the steel bearings, weight is 1177g (with rim tape) vs the 1160g advertised without tape
Wheels are mounted on a BMC Roadmachine and shaved off almost 400g over my previous 50mm carbon wheel with steel spokes (Scribe Aero, 4 years old).
Same as above: requested no decals and spare spokes (2 shipped), rim bed with holes and covered with Kapton like tape.
This is my first carbon spoke wheelset (spoke width 3.5mm), I would not say it is a harsh ride feel, but it feels less compliant as steel spokes.
On the other hand, because of less weight and the stiff spokes, the wheels feel more stiff when accelerating and more lively when riding and cornering compared to my previous wheelset.
After vouchers and with seller's shipping method (including delivery & tax to Europe, Germany) these were <600 EUR.
Can not speak much about crosswind performance or long term relaibility, only done a few rides on each of the wheels.
Communication with Matter and the team was excellent and prompt.
Hard to believe there are better wheels, most definitely not at this price point - clear recommendation from my side.

My experience with Tagoola is also very positive, still I'm testing my new wheels! I've ordered a ned model so Aeroraptor Wave 60/65 mm 8) In general, 1450 g of happiness, looking amazing, still no review as I want to hit around 1000 km. I will keep you ppsted!

I bought 2 wheelsets from Matter and put about 1500km between them. There is nothing bad to report about use, they work great. Windy descents on 50mm front feels like my body will never be recovered but that's my problem.
However I'm not impressed with the QC and I felt like I should at least let people know.
Initial communication was great, tiny mistranslations but very fast responses to emails. Shipping is what it is, dpd blows but I eventually received them one week apart:
First wheelset had no tubeless valve at all. Not preinstalled, not in the box. Despite the paper claiming they double checked and ticked off "tubeless tape and valve installed". Since the other wheelset took another week to get there I emailed to ask if 1. this was normal and if 2. the other wheelset would have a tubeless valve. My email took a few days to get an answer as opposed to 12 hours max before purchase, so I wasted 10 bucks ordering 2 pairs on ali. I was eventually sent an AE link to buy "spare/replacement parts" for a dollar which wasn't refunded automatically, I had to appeal to aliexpress.
The tension had one noticeably uneven spoke on the rear (. They were true so I don't mind much but why not take a minute it takes an experienced builder to make it from decent to great?
The second wheelset came, the tension sheet was good and they also ticked off the "tubeless valve INSTALLED" QC box. It was supplied this time, but not installed, in a plastic bag. A toddler could install a tubeless valve so it's all good, but why tick "installed" when you didn't? Is somebody really looking at my wheelset or do you pre print ticked off QC sheets?
And finally, none of the endcaps on either wheel had any grease at all. Completely dry. Again not a big deal, it takes 5 minutes to grease 8 endcaps but I thought this was a problem of the past for chinese wheels? Many people could have easily overlooked greasing them, I only opened them out of curiosity
It would also be nice to get a spare spoke or 2 in my opinion, as many people asked above.
Overall, I am happy with my purchase, the wheels are fine. I'm being nitpicky but between greasing everything myself, emailing twice to ask about missing valves and the suboptimal QC, these tiny details add up to a not overwhelmingly positive experience. I don't regret it as none of these were dealbreakers at all, but I would be a little hesitant to truly recommend or buy again from tagoola, even if the end product is seemingly great

I'm not sure if the uneven tension of the rear spokes was reported in the QC sheet or if you noticed it after checking the wheel tension.
Another thing I'm not sure I understand is what you mean by "endcaps." Could you post a photo of the parts you greased?

It always takes around 2-3 weeks for them to ship the wheels. I bought 2 pairs of them and wait the approx’ time that I mention. Then you have to wait around 1.5 weeks to receive the wheels depending on where you live. In Canada, it took 1.5 weeks and no taxes at the reception.

Followup and first impressions:
I received the wheel set a few days ago. I ordered a set of PRO 2.0 wheels from the Tagoola Aliexpress store. The listing said it was a clearance sale, so it was listed for ~$340 USD. Picked it up for ~$285 USD all-in after using coupons (used the $90 off $599 coupon - also bought a Magene powermeter 8) ).
Overall finish of the wheelset is good (amazing for what I paid for). Shipping box arrived undamaged to Canada. However packaging within the box could be slightly improved. I believe the wheels were rubbing into each other causing some superficial scratches to the rim and hub body. I think a piece of cardboard packed between the wheels would help a lot.
Some notes on the wheels themselves:
- Overall finish is quite good. Coin test sounded very uniform throughout.
- There were some tiny tiny imperfections. Maybe thats why they were on clearance?
- Wheel rims feel quite good in the hands, I can only cause the slightest deflection with my grip strength (see video).
- Final weight is 643g for front and 765g for rear. total 1408g. Within the advertised weight range of 1350+/- 5%.
- Rim tape was installed, tubeless valves inside a separate bubble wrap bag.
- Can confirm hub is a DT Swiss styled 36t ratchet. Reasonably greased, but will be cleaning and re-greasing with my stuff anyways.
I did not get any extra spokes, nor a brake rotor lock ring. But they also gave me a cute 3D printed pedal keychain :)
Wont be riding these wheels anytime soon unfortunately, but first impressions are good!

Placed the order last August 29, it was shipped September 5, and then I finally got my wheelset last Tuesday, September 9. So 12 days in total including shipping to Manila
The wheels I got was custom and I think it's a new rim profile for Tagoola as they're not in Aliexpress and their website yet. I just asked Matter if they have my preference and they offered 45mm deep, 26 internal gravel wheels. Got the wheelset for 560usd total including UPS shipping. I got to choose Cxray spokes with brass nipples and I also upgraded the bearings to TPI bearings. Weighed 1510 grams with the rim tape, which is within the mentioned weight range (1440 ± 3%)
Very pleased with my experience dealing with Tagoola and talking to Matter. Matter was also very accomodating, patient, and responsive whenever I have questions. He might be the quickest to reply out of all the Chinertown and Ali suppliers I was talking to. Their price was one of the cheapest among them - but I'm confident with the quality because their factory is a legit OEM factory. I also have to mention that they have the fastest production time which is just 7 days, compared to others which have 10-25 days. Would definitely recommend especially if you're in a hurry or just want to have your wheels arrive faster

First impressions: finish is nice, rim tape installed, valves provided, extra spokes also provided. Wheels are true and they provided the tension sheet for the wheels. No problems during tubeless setup. I had to add a little more grease to the hubs but that's just my preference.
Tested the wheels for 100km and I'm suddenly hitting PRs on everything - climbs, descent, flats. Tho it maybe because I also changed to faster rolling tires, but the wheels definitely helped. They're stiff and nice. They're also stable on descents, although I can feel some strong winds sometimes, but it's definitely manageable.
I have upcoming gravel rides and races. Will updated maybe after I have 1000-1500km on these

It's just a sticker, not under the clear coat, easy to remove.

Pinching the sides of the rims, they do feel a tad more compliant than dura ace 9270 wheels.
The free hub noise is a bit louder and cruder than I’d like. It also has a bit of an oscillation, I suspect from the free hub not being entirely concentric. Overall minor details

The DT structure hub will have some vibration or intermittent feeling in the sound. This is due to the overall structure. If you have any problems with the hubs, please contact me.

Recently I heard a genuine DT 180 hubs and it had similar oscillating noise. Since then I've slept my nights peacefully.

New Wheel Day! I wanted to share my first impressions of my new wheelset from Tagoola. This is my second set from them, and this time I went for their XPLR gravel wheelset.
The Specs & First Impressions
This is exactly what I was looking for for my gravel bike: an aero profile at 50mm deep with some serious width. They measure 41mm externally and a whopping 32mm internally, making them perfect for wider tires. The wheels look fantastic, and on a quick check, the spoke tension feels nice and even.
They came neatly pre-taped and included tubeless valves. The actual weight on my scale is 1466 grams (including tape), which is within an acceptable margin of the advertised 1400 grams.
Like mentioned before, my hubs weren't greased, so don't forget to put in a little grease before the first ride.
Mounting & Tires
I mounted a set of Schwalbe G-One RS Pro tires in 40mm. The installation was a breeze; the tire went on without much trouble and seated immediately with a standard floor pump.
A quick heads-up for everyone: on these wide 32mm internal rims, the 40mm tire actually measures out to 43mm! It's a tight fit in my Argon 18 Krypton Pro, but it just clears. So definitely check your own frame clearance if you're planning a similar setup.
Shipping & Service
Just like last time, shipping was super fast and, importantly, there were no unexpected import duties or taxes. A huge plus.
Unfortunately, there was a downside that I also experienced with my previous order: the wheels were shipped with the wrong freehub body. This is a real shame, as it's the second time in a row this has happened. Now I have to wait for the correct part to arrive before I can actually ride them.
Preliminary Score:
Wheels (Quality/Looks): 9/10 - They look great, specs are perfect.
Shipping: 10/10 - Fast and no extra fees.
Price: 9/10 - Great value for money.
Service: 7/10 - Points deducted for the recurring freehub issue.
Conclusion
All in all, I'm very impressed with the wheels themselves, but the simple mistake with the freehub is a real disappointment. Once the correct body arrives and I've put the first few hundred KMs on them, I'll be sure to post an update with a ride report!

Now that you mention it, even though I've had the wheels at home for a few months, I haven't checked to see if the freehub on the wheels is the one I requested.
The frame finally arrived last week, and it's time to start assembling it... I hope I don't have any nasty surprises with the freehub!

Here is my first part of the review of my Tagoola wheelset.
1) This is the second wheelset I have ordered from them. For information , I also ordered from XM carbon speed, Zen and Wheelsfar (for me and for friends) and my preference goes for Tagoola.
Why ? Because the communication with Matter is always on top, prices and quality are good and above all it seems that are developing some new products (hubs, carbon spokes,...). They also give more importance than other brands to the reliability and solidity of the products.
2) The wheelset arrived in a strong package and included tubeless valve and the datasheet. It is so nice to have the spoke tension and some data. The rim tape was already installed.
They used to attached a "manual" data sheet but They will use the Spokecalc software in the future in order to synthesize all the information (included rim, hub...) (sample in picture). It might not be useful for everybody but It shows that They want to be a pro seller. None of the brand I know do this.
3) All my previous wheelset were built with DT 240 exp hub. But this time I wanted to test something new and I chose their new ultra light hub (Tactic TR01 like) with a 48 T Ratchet system (50 mm depth, brass nipples and Sapim CX-ray). The freehub sound is so gorgeous. I will only be able to ride them in two weeks and I will made the review next after.
The max rider weight is 120-130 kg (more than I need ^^) and front weight is 656 g and rear 731 g. So 1387 g in totale with brass nipples.
The quality of the rim is very nice (no defect, no sharpe angle,...) and I choose to have their new logo on it. I find it modern and I like it very much. Their rim tape looks exactly the same as on Giant wheels. It looks strong. Each rim has a serial number and a "QC" sticker. I also asked to have a drain hole. They don't do this automatic, so be careful.
So far so good and I will confirm (or not 😁) the overall good impression later.

Mounting & Tires
I mounted a set of Schwalbe G-One RS Pro tires in 40mm. The installation was a breeze; the tire went on without much trouble and seated immediately with a standard floor pump.
A quick heads-up for everyone: on these wide 32mm internal rims, the 40mm tire actually measures out to 43mm! It's a tight fit in my Argon 18 Krypton Pro, but it just clears. So definitely check your own frame clearance if you're planning a similar setup.
Shipping & Service
Just like last time, shipping was super fast and, importantly, there were no unexpected import duties or taxes. A huge plus.
Unfortunately, there was a downside that I also experienced with my previous order: the wheels were shipped with the wrong freehub body. This is a real shame, as it's the second time in a row this has happened. Now I have to wait for the correct part to arrive before I can actually ride them.
Preliminary Score:
Wheels (Quality/Looks): 9/10 - They look great, specs are perfect.
Shipping: 10/10 - Fast and no extra fees.
Price: 9/10 - Great value for money.
Service: 7/10 - Points deducted for the recurring freehub issue.
Conclusion
All in all, I'm very impressed with the wheels themselves, but the simple mistake with the freehub is a real disappointment. Once the correct body arrives and I've put the first few hundred KMs on them, I'll be sure to post an update with a ride report!

1) This is the second wheelset I have ordered from them. For information , I also ordered from XM carbon speed, Zen and Wheelsfar (for me and for friends) and my preference goes for Tagoola.
Why ? Because the communication with Matter is always on top, prices and quality are good and above all it seems that are developing some new products (hubs, carbon spokes,...). They also give more importance than other brands to the reliability and solidity of the products.
2) The wheelset arrived in a strong package and included tubeless valve and the datasheet. It is so nice to have the spoke tension and some data. The rim tape was already installed.
They used to attached a "manual" data sheet but They will use the Spokecalc software in the future in order to synthesize all the information (included rim, hub...) (sample in picture). It might not be useful for everybody but It shows that They want to be a pro seller. None of the brand I know do this.
3) All my previous wheelset were built with DT 240 exp hub. But this time I wanted to test something new and I chose their new ultra light hub (Tactic TR01 like) with a 48 T Ratchet system (50 mm depth, brass nipples and Sapim CX-ray). The freehub sound is so gorgeous. I will only be able to ride them in two weeks and I will made the review next after.
The max rider weight is 120-130 kg (more than I need ^^) and front weight is 656 g and rear 731 g. So 1387 g in totale with brass nipples.
The quality of the rim is very nice (no defect, no sharpe angle,...) and I choose to have their new logo on it. I find it modern and I like it very much. Their rim tape looks exactly the same as on Giant wheels. It looks strong. Each rim has a serial number and a "QC" sticker. I also asked to have a drain hole. They don't do this automatic, so be careful.
So far so good and I will confirm (or not 😁) the overall good impression later.

Thanks for the detailed review! I'm a big fan of how they lightened the freehub by machining out material from the nondrive direction of the splines. Very clever.

Honestly, I prefer with holes. It is easier to do the maintenance if you need to replace a spoke.
The only davantage I see is for tubeless because you don't need to install rim tape. Nowadays, it is very easy to install a rim tape so this advantage is not very interesting.

We will use Spokecalc to prepare custom products for forum customers in the future (providing product details and complete tension data). This service is not currently available for AliExpress's basic products (WAVE\ALL ROAD).

For me, who has been riding tubeless for several years, a rim without nipple holes would be a must.
I would still have the spoke maintenance done by a mechanic, so it wouldn't change anything for me. ;D

What did matter answer? and I have ordered the gp5000. sure from what I remember they were always tight tires but not so tight that you can't even get past one side. the pirelli are definitely more comfortable. Matter seems to be trying for the best.

Could you confirm that you bought the right dimension ? The GP 5000 exists in 650B and 700C. The 650 B is not correct (picture).

correct 650 is for 27.5 rims

Yes, the GP5000S TR are 28-622 (700C)

In the end, the XDR freehub body works fine....having always used Shimano HG cassettes (which are pushed all the way in), I didn't know that tightening the XDR cassette makes it closer to the hub.
So, all that's left to do is try again.

This is the method I've been using for over eight years: first I insert the first side, then the second, using levers if necessary to raise the final part (I've often succeeded even without levers).
I usually use Schwalbe Easy Fit to seat a tubeless tire...I've never had to use it to install a tire on the rim, but I might try.

Yes, some degrees can make a difference (for exemple going from 5°C to 28°C).

Hi everyone, I wanted to let you know that I managed to mount the GP5000S TR 28mm on the Tagoola DAO rims!
I had to use the Schwalbe Easy Fit and levers to get them up, but I finally did it!
Definitely the most difficult rim and tire combination I've ever encountered.
Once installed on the rim, the GP5000S TR beaded right away (I use the Schwalbe Tire Booster) and seem to hold pressure very well even without latex.
I checked the hubs to see if there was enough grease... they look fine externally, but I think I'll apply some grease (DT Swiss for Ratchet System) to the inside of the chainrings as well, and some white grease to the bearings.
Now all that's left to do is start assembling the frame and testing them!

I am kind of worried about my wheelset, it seems like it is stuck in transit for 10 days after taking quite some time after the customs clearance. I ordered the wheelset on 24th of August to Europe. Has anybody experienced something similar?

Just a short update on that, Matter kindly offered me to look into that, so I did contact Tagoola(/him) on Aliexpress on the 27th of September. He assured me everything is fine and it as usual with standard Aliexpress shipping. Which was totally fine with me as when I ordered the expected date for arrival was 18th Sep - 23rd Oct. Also I appreciated the good communication. However nothing happened until 7th of October and I decided to ask again[1]. I then got some answer I did not understand fully:
Due to customs policies, your package may be delayed in delivery. Please refer to the actual delivery time for details
Estimated Delivery Time: October 31st [2]
However, the actual delivery time, AliExpress responded that this order will be overdue by December 30, 2025
[I kindly asked them to clarify if it is expected in October or December]
The estimated time is October 31st. The specific shipping is handled by AliExpress, and I can only provide consultation.
Aliexpress wasn't helpful either in that matter.
So all in all this is not the best experience until now, a frame I ordered at the same time with Aliexpress standard shipping arrived on the 24th. Not to mention all the smaller parts that shipped in no time. I probably have to use the tires of another bike to finish my build and check if everything else is alright :(.
[1] as the sorting, flight and customs process usually takes two weeks in Europe. So unless something happened the expected date would not be possible.
[2] estimated delivery time was 18th Sep - 23rd Oct when I ordered. I am not sure where they got that new date.

I tried to mount a Schwalbe Click Valve....the aesthetic result, however, is not the best compared to the valves supplied as standard.

The box also included a water bottle, a report on the spoke tension as well as 2 spare tubeless valves.

2 Mistakes inside the order, 1 major which is they forgot the ratchet inside the freewheel body, second is minor but kind of annoying, the tubeless valves are both the same length and for the 60mm rear only a little bit of the valve is showing.
Talked about it with Matter, he told me he was going to ship a new ratchet for me and it would take approximatly 1 week to get to me. Asked him if I could get one locally to speed up process, originally said yes and when I confirmed with him with the quote a local bike shop told me he then said it was too expensive, which I part of agree when you compare with price of ratchet on aliexpress (it was 75 euros for a 36T one).
Then he told me he was reaching out of a connection he had in my country (france) to try to figure it all out as quick as possible. This is still where we are now. I expect to have an answer tomorrow morning.
Otherwise quality seems good, packaging was ok but not the best. Will keep you updated once I know more

Matter is sending a ratchet and also a new tubeless valve for the rear. He gifted me some spare spokes and some bar tape.
On another note, just mounted gp5000 AS TR 32mm to the front wheel, super easy with a floor pump !

Aeroraptors appear to be lighter by 100g and both around the same price.
Also, never heard of carbon fibre nipples before - as someone who has always used brass nipples to combat bad weather, how resilient are these nipples?

I've been looking at EliteWheels Gravel sets, but the discounts (both AE and PayPal) seem to disappear overnight, plus pricing changes (granted these are currency fluctuations, but this affects the discount threshold in AUD).
The AERORAPTOR 40 ALL ROAD caught my eye, seems to be similarly specced to the Elite's SLR Gravel option?
Any issues with this wheelset? I don't particularly trust AE feedback system... Would you pick these or an Elite alternative?
Indecisive about the spoke selection too - would the CN AERO416 be a better option over CN AERO418 for mostly road and light gravel? Are these on par with the Pillar 1423?

I picked that exact model and Matter has been superb in terms of communication. I think this wheelset strikes a perfect balance between weight, rim width and depth as well as price.

Just a short update on that, Matter kindly offered me to look into that, so I did contact Tagoola(/him) on Aliexpress on the 27th of September. He assured me everything is fine and it as usual with standard Aliexpress shipping. Which was totally fine with me as when I ordered the expected date for arrival was 18th Sep - 23rd Oct. Also I appreciated the good communication. However nothing happened until 7th of October and I decided to ask again[1]. I then got some answer I did not understand fully:
Aliexpress wasn't helpful either in that matter.
So all in all this is not the best experience until now, a frame I ordered at the same time with Aliexpress standard shipping arrived on the 24th. Not to mention all the smaller parts that shipped in no time. I probably have to use the tires of another bike to finish my build and check if everything else is alright :(.
[1] as the sorting, flight and customs process usually takes two weeks in Europe. So unless something happened the expected date would not be possible.
[2] estimated delivery time was 18th Sep - 23rd Oct when I ordered. I am not sure where they got that new date.

The sound depends on the quantity and thickness of the grease.

Nope, nothing cleaned/taken apart other than swapping wheelsets for gravel rides. I'll have a look over the winter months and give everything a once over.

A small issue with m Tagoola all-road wheels. The surface coating of the rims suck. I find them hard to clean. What might require a damp cloth to wipe down for my other wheelsets, I have to use an alcohol spray and several passes to wipe the Tagoola wheels from tubeless sealant or stray grease.
Did you manage to clean the wheels? When mounting the tires, I used water and detergent to make it easier to mount, and there were some slight streaks. What's the best way to clean it? It does seem to be harder to remove than, say, Elite wheels.

I think wheels are build to order so it can take a few days. But the shipping has been around 2-3 weeks for me. But that depends on the location. So around a month in total after ordering.

Just received my XPLR wheelset that I ordered during the black friday sale. 32mm internal and 50mm depth are 1390g without the tape which is not bad if you ask me. Came with a tape and valves in the box.
I ordered it with an XDr freehub body but it turned out, freehub bodies are compatible between these tagoola wheels, my Yuanan(elite) wheels with RD13 hubs and the cheapest generic XM Carbon Speed hubs(don't remember the model).
Meaning now I can swap the wheels without actually removing the cassette and I have all of the freehub bodies except for the campagnolo.
the only drawback for me is the finish of the rims. I was under impression that these will come in raw/transparent/paintless finish but they are just painted matte black which I don't like.

My Domane takes up to a 38mm tire, although some are running 40mm. The XRLP wheelset is too wide imo, and out of my price range. Is there a wheel somewhere in-between?

Just received my 50mm Aero Raptors from Matter yesterday.
Lovely bare carbon finish, with laser silver decals as requested.
Wheels look great - these will be going onto a Cervelo S3 for some big rides and hopefully an everesting attempt in the summer.
Service and communication from Matter has been excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to order again - hoping they bring out a range with brass nipples so I can spec up a winter / all weather set as well.

My wheels arrived just before Christmas...but I received the wrong set. My 50F, 60R, XDR arrived as 40 F&R with Shimano freehub. Nice looking wheels but not mine!
I contacted Matter and he connected me with Tagoola's UK agent (Pacenti!) and the correct set have been switched and arrived within a week, despite the holidays. Great service. Looks like the freight forwarders in UK, mislabelled wheelsets (which had been correctly addressed in China).
Anyway wheels now here...weight including tubeless tape for the 50/60 set is 1220g. Pretty pleased with that. Not super light compared to Zen new stuff etc just coming but in Black Friday sales 375 GBP delivered, is unbeatable.

Just received my first wheelset ordered on Aliexpress. Aeroraptor ALL ROAD 40mm with CN AERO416 spokes. Weight 1420g with tape and Shimano HG freehub body, that is a mistake made by them because I ordered Sram XDR. I contacted thru Aliexpress and after 5 mins I placed an order to receive the correct freehub body for 1 euro. So problem solved very fast, I hope to receive it soon to test the wheels!

First 2 rides with Tagoola ULTRALIGHT wheelset done.
I choosed 50mm rim height. Weight is the same as expected with the declared. Continental GP5000 S TR tyres fitted.
My old wheelset was Yuanan UNI rims 45mm + Sapim CR Rays + Enve hubs.
Tyre installation: NIGHTMARE. It was very difficult to install tyres, lot of patience needed and good tyre levers. No isseus with tubeless sealing.
Stifness: those wheels are more comfortable compared to my old wheelset, but lateral stiffness is much more.
Performance: the feeling at high speed is that they keep speed very good (starting from 37/38 Kmh) and the low weight helps for climbing. Rolling is great.
Side wind: very good, a big improvement from my previous wheelset.
Sound: I can say that is exactly the same as Dt Swiss. Not loud as Enve.

Tyre installation: NIGHTMARE. It was very difficult to install tyres, lot of patience needed and good tyre levers. No isseus with tubeless sealing.
Stifness: those wheels are more comfortable compared to my old wheelset, but lateral stiffness is much more.
Performance: the feeling at high speed is that they keep speed very good (starting from 37/38 Kmh) and the low weight helps for climbing. Rolling is great.
Side wind: very good, a big improvement from my previous wheelset.
Sound: I can say that is exactly the same as Dt Swiss. Not loud as Enve.

If you had nightmare putting the tires on, you're gonna have worse nightmare taking the tires off. Imagine you have to fix a flat during a ride.

I whatsapped the seller, I guess the OP of this thread, and he said it's within tolerance and doesn't affect performance. Well, aerodynamically it does affect it especially when you run tires that measures closer to 30mm wide when mounted for the 105% rule. To me, it seems like I was shipped a different model.
I have purchased several other wheelsets off Aliexpress like CSC, Elite and etc. and they all measure the same as advertised. Even some in the same looking layup and same weight, they all have 31mm external which is why I made this purchase to begin with because I wanted the exact same wheelset at a lower price.
Did anyone else measure there wheelsets? Did it come to 30mm instead of 31mm?

I confirm...the website is probably under development; currently, only the home page is available and there's only one wheel model, but no specifications are listed.
By the way, their website says TANGOOLA, not TAGOOLA.
I, however, preferred the DAO name and logo to the AERO RAPTOR...much more refined and elegant (as well as more original: A|R is very reminiscent of V|R).
I can't wait for spring to test the wheels and new bike!

Same width for my wheelset and I run 30c tire which measures 30 mm so perfect aero. So no problem for me. By the way, I love so much riding those wheels.

The rule of 105 is relevant even at relatively low speeds (>20 km/h). However, under certain conditions, other factors dominate.
In modern rims with wide external widths (>28mm), it seems using wider tires can benefit most people despite violating the rule of 105 (up to 32mm labeled width).

I'm having problems with the ratchet because when I push the pedal, they make a strange clicking noise and the pedals spin freely. Has anyone had this problem with the lightweight hub they sell? Matter was helpful and sent me a video on how to repair it, open the hub, and check, but apparently there's no problem. They sent me a replacement wheel with a lightweight hub, but I still have the same problem after 80 km. Can you help me if this has happened to anyone?
I can't complain to Matter, but this isn't a viable option. I've currently wasted €700.

I managed to do this myself. The noise you hear is more pronounced when climbing hills and when pushing. The wheels have been replaced, but the ultralight hub is still the same.

No issues with the crosswinds, even really with really heavy blast and blow from different direction which honestly amaze me. In the past I was riding on 60 mm CSC wheels and I had to sell them, I was unable to ride. The only small disadvantage, the rim could be a bit wider, here I have 21 mm. The second set I have is 26 mm internal width, I really prefer that. I'm using my Aeroeraptor with 30 mm Archetype, and I love the combination. I fell the "flying" effect even on my Avenger Shuttle SL, for me that combination looks really good 8) The wheels are fast, stiff and I had no issues with the carbon spokes, therefore I can fully recommend it!

Those are the 1420g 21mm internal, 28 external wheels, right? I've seen them on a lightweight out and out aerobike built that I might buy 2nd hand (7kg Simplon Pride 2 for the mountains, FTW!). Good to hear that they are great.

Hi, yes, those are not the lightest but no issues at all. My "black mamba" is around 6.5 kg on Aeroraptor. I rode on that wheel set around 4000 km. Honestly, before I got them I thought I will not ride a lot on them. My neighborhood is a bit windy, flat with a lot of crosswinds etc. Now, I'm riding on them almost every day. My previous 60 mm wheels were terrible! I felt unsafe on flats and the final call was in the mountains. Riding around 80 km/h from Col Du Galibier during Marmotte GranFondo was the nail in the coffin. But, the rim profile was different, those are a wave shape.

On my xplr wheelset, rotors sit very loose on the splines and event when the lockring is super tight, you can grab the front brake, rock the bike back and forth and the rotor is moving on the hub.
It actually unscrews the lockring on every ride. I first though that I installed the wheels and forgot to tighten the lockrings but they come loose on every ride.
I tried different sets of rotors that work great with other wheelsets, also tried different lockrings. definitely a hub issue

I think that my lockring was coming loose because I was rocking the bike while holding the brake as I was trying to investigate play in the front I felt due to the rotor movement. When the rotor was moving on the splines it was slowly undoing the lockring. At least that's my theory. I'm currently on a trip with these wheels and I will check whether the lockring is still tight after riding under normal conditions

Wanted to share my relatively long term review of my AR XRLP 50mm gravel wheelset.
I purchased these October 2025 through Aliexpress. I was in contact with @Matter through the whole process, Matter was a pleasure to work with. Sent me photos of the wheels as they were built etc.
Fast forward the last several months…. These wheels have been great. I have bike packed with them, raced with them and trained with them for around 3000km. They have never missed a beat.
Other riders live to comment on how big they are ;)
I’m in the process of getting a Microspline free hub body now so I can run 12 speed shimano.
I’d have no problem ordering another wheelset in the future from Tagoola!

However, this won't cause any braking problems. Because the brakes are always applied in one direction, it won't cause the center lock-up cap to loosen. You can try it out. The center lock cover is not loose. The actual issue is that when he applies the brakes, the disc rotor shifts back and forth slightly. This is caused by a larger gap on one side of the rotor. The center lock cover is not loose. The actual issue is that when he applies the brakes, the disc rotor shifts back and forth slightly. This is caused by a larger gap on one side of the rotor. It might not be the end of the world but it's not great either. I always grab brakes when I wait on the traffic lights and I might bounce back and forth or just simply move slightly back when I stop uphill. I suspect the lockrings might work themselves loose in the long run so I will be checking the every once in a while.

I know that they manufacture their hubs in house. You might be able to request a specific one from another manufacturer, but they do make their own.

Our hubs can be directly switched between QR and thru-axle. Simply replace the side caps.

Just getting round to fitting my aero raptors and need some help regarding rotor noise.
Callipers are aligned, but the honking is horrendous.
Tried and tested Swisstop 34rs pads and galfer wave centerlock rotors. Been used on another set of wheels perfect.
I noticed while rubbing the rotors with alcohol, that I can make the sound happen just by rubbing the rotors with a micro fibre cloth away from the bike completely.
I’ve took the rotors back off and reinstalled - there is some slop on the interface between rotor and hub - I can slightly move the rotor rotationally before tightening the lock ring as tight as I can.
The sound is immediate and absolutely horrendous - I’ve aligned callipers again and sanded pads, not one single bit of difference.
Any help or ideas much appreciated on what I can try here as I’m running out of options.

Our hubs have some room for movement on the disc brake side. When you squeeze the brake and move it back and forth, the disc will also move back and forth. However, this won't cause any braking problems. Because the brakes are always applied in one direction, it won't cause the center lock-up cap to loosen. You can try it out. If you encounter any problems, please contact me.

I got the lightweight option too, weight is ~ 1420g with tubeless tape. Really good for the price so far.
Stiffness feels comparable to the Elite Edge 50 (1.0) I used before, so not the stiffest but also not too bad.

Im also chatting with zen carbon and light carbon. And both of them offer wheels at a higher price. Am I paying a premium because they're more well known? And should I rather get tagoola at a cheaper price, if im comparing the same build from tagoola vs zen carbon.

Shipping speed from China is a bit of coin toss. And, yeah, price/performance seemed really good, queried Tagoola directly as well and asked a couple of questions. Standard vs lightweight difference is layering of carbon. U went with standard - not looking to most lightweight setup.
Given I'm planning to use 32mm tyres and likely tubeless (so lower pressures) - I see no issues with having mini-hook design.
I hope to give some feedback in after a while.

Im also planning to run 32mm Gp5000 str. Tubeless too. Im currently running 50psi for my current tubeless setup. And the 24mm interval and 32mm external of the Cure 24 seems like it's a great fit for my planned tyres

They look, spin, and ride great at lower speed. I have found they become unstable when going at higher speeds (so mostly going downhill) when there is even a little bit of wind. It's not like a push sideways, more like fast unpredictable twitching in either direction, and I have to keep a firm grip on the bars. First deeper aero wheels for me, but I've never experienced anything like it with my 35mm deep alloy wheels or shallower wheels.
Any feedback from other Cure 24 riders?

An update regarding the shipping speed for the Cure24: Due to a recent surge in business volume for CN Spoke, we experienced stock shortages for certain lengths of the high-end CN 424 spokes; we have been in urgent communication with them to resolve this. Check if the front wheel is true still. I got the same issues with KORE wheelset and after investigating the carbon spokes went out of tension and that introduces wheel wobble and like you say extremely unstable at high speed or in wind.

The wheel seems true, but I'll investigate a bit more. If feels more like something aerodynamic, maybe combined with the frame shape/geometry (gravel).

Shipping was long - there were no updates between 14.05 and 29.06, so I thought it is gone somewhere in-between, but nope - finally arrived at customs.
Sadly it turns out EU are greedy bastards... Additionally to already expected VAT and import tax, there is also anti-dumping tax - additional 48.5 % (!) for wheelsets coming from China and it seems there is no way around it, at least based on what the customs says. It means 100+ EUR additionally. I couldn't go with tax-included shipping (it was unreasonable 800$ USD or something) from Ali right away, so went with free shipping.
Overall the price would be okayish in general, but given this was meant as cheap road wheelset before I settle on anything else, I'm now debating if it would make more sense to spend more money and upgrade right away. But that would mean sending the wheelset back and likely some loss for Tagoola due to that. So now communicated with them how bad would that be, but, yeah, long story short - not even close to riding them. :)

Interesting. I also ordered a Tagoola Wheelset (directly from their Website) to Europe. Order placed an May 12th, received the parcel on June 6th, no additional costs for customs/taxes charged.

I would have chosen such an option as well, but it was unreasonably priced for some reason (I'm from Baltics, maybe there is something related to that).
At this stage there is really no way around it as far as I know. I have to provide purchase documentation, fill fairly simple declaration form and product obviously falls into wheelset category which has that additional 48.5% tax according to EU laws. There are some options for exemptions, but contacted customs and long story short - not for me and I wasn't provided have any other options, but to pay.
After searching a bit here in the forums - there are such a threads, so nothing really new, may depends a bit on a luck as well and that "all duties paid" option is always way to go to avoid headache.

These were the shipping options for this wheelset (and still are). They are not just "a bit more expensive" as paying any of those shipping prices for 250 USD wheelset dosn't really make sense right?
Again - don't know why, but it is what it is.
Of course that does not justify me not knowing about the anti-dumping tax and yet here we are - everything sumed up is 188 EUR in taxes for 220 EUR wheelset.
But this is kind of offtopic for this thread - Tagoola is not at fault, just explained the situation when was asked for my feedback on the wheelset.

you should have spoken directly with the matter and agreed on the shipping method. i paid 100 euros for dpd shipping to greece and didn't pay anything else. taxes in europe are almost the value of the product

"- You are 100% correct about the DHL option: it does include all customs formalities and clearance, but the cost is extremely high as you saw, and we definitely do not advise choosing it for this order."

I've been speaking with Matter from Tagoola for well over a year via WhatsApp. And ike many others, I first came across the brand through this foum
One of the things I find interesting is learning about different wheel manufacturers, their engineering processes and their design philosophies. I speak with quite a few brands and factories, and whilst there's absolutely nothing wrong with it, and as many of us already know many companies are essentially selecting rims, hubs and spokes from different suppliers and building a wheelset around those components.
What interested me about Tagoola is that they appear to approach things more as a complete wheel system. Their philosophy is to develop the rim, spokes and hub together rather than simply sourcing individual components and combining them into a finished wheel.
Over the last year we've had numerous discussions about wheel design, hub durability, spoke counts, impact testing, stiffness and the balance between weight and long-term reliability. One topic we've often discussed is the industry's obsession with chasing the lightest possible wheelset. Matt's view is that ultra-lightweight products often involve compromises, particularly when it comes to durability and real-world performance.
As a result, Tagoola have agreed to send me a set of their Aura RA60UL wheels for test and reviow
The wheelset landed a in the UK on the Monday and I will pick them up Friday.
Th wheels on paper they look very interesting. They are not the lightest wheels available, but at around the 1.2-1.3kg mark for a 60mm deep wheelset, I still consider that impressively light. More importantly, they appear to be designed with performance, stiffness and durability in mind rather than simply chasing a headline weight figure.

For reference, these will be the widest wheels I've owned to date, so I'm particularly interested to see how the 32mm Eagle F1 R tyres measure up and how the wide rim profile affects ride quality, handling and speed.

I've been speaking with Matter from Tagoola for well over a year via WhatsApp. And ike many others, I first came across the brand through this foum
One of the things I find interesting is learning about different wheel manufacturers, their engineering processes and their design philosophies. I speak with quite a few brands and factories, and whilst there's absolutely nothing wrong with it, and as many of us already know many companies are essentially selecting rims, hubs and spokes from different suppliers and building a wheelset around those components.
What interested me about Tagoola is that they appear to approach things more as a complete wheel system. Their philosophy is to develop the rim, spokes and hub together rather than simply sourcing individual components and combining them into a finished wheel.
Over the last year we've had numerous discussions about wheel design, hub durability, spoke counts, impact testing, stiffness and the balance between weight and long-term reliability. One topic we've often discussed is the industry's obsession with chasing the lightest possible wheelset. Matt's view is that ultra-lightweight products often involve compromises, particularly when it comes to durability and real-world performance.
As a result, Tagoola have agreed to send me a set of their Aura RA60UL wheels for test and reviow
The wheelset landed a in the UK on the Monday and I will pick them up Friday.
Th wheels on paper they look very interesting. They are not the lightest wheels available, but at around the 1.2-1.3kg mark for a 60mm deep wheelset, I still consider that impressively light. More importantly, they appear to be designed with performance, stiffness and durability in mind rather than simply chasing a headline weight figure.
The thing that stands out most to me is the width. At 26mm internal and 35.8mm external, these are the widest wheelset I've personally owned so they are on there website as All road so as we can see there is almost a Road/Gravel cross over now with some wheelset

I notice that various manufacturers of carbon-spoked wheels are adopting a 2:1 lacing pattern, whereas here they’ve stuck with 1:1 lacing.
Regarding what you wrote about Tagoola: I’m currently use a set of their DAO 50mm wheels (personally, I prefer the "old" DAO name/logo over Aero Raptor), and the specs and designs seem identical to the Yishun WRSK50C PRO... I’ve always wondered (without having any confirmation) if Tagoola actually bought or commissioned that wheelset directly from Yishun.

I've been told they'll still work with 28mm tyres, and I'm sure they will. Personally though, if I was primarily running a 28mm tyre, I'd probably lean towards a 23 internal rim rather than 26mm. I've gradually moved towards 30-32mm tyres myself, which is where a rim this wide starts to make more sense.
If you look at the Tagoola range, they also offer the Pulse models with a 23mm internal width, which may be closer to what you're looking for.

In all honesty, I prefer the wheels shown on the Tagoola website. The satin finish, minimal graphics and cleaner overall look are much more to my taste. The Aero Raptor branding on AliExpress isn't really for me. If I was buying a set, I'd probably ask for them with no logos at all.
As for the Yishun connection, who knows. There are so many open-mould rims and wheelsets in the market now that it can be difficult to work out who's designing, manufacturing or simply sourcing from where. To be honest, it doesn't make much difference to me as long as the product performs.
Regarding crosswinds, I'll definitely report back once I've got some miles on them. That said, my view has always been that a 60mm wheel is a 60mm wheel. Modern rim shapes can certainly help, but physics still applies. If it's windy, a deep wheel will be affected by the wind.
Crosswind sensitivity is also highly subjective. Put two riders on the exact same bike and wheelset in the same conditions and you'll often get two completely different opinions. Rider weight, confidence and bike-handling skills all play a part.
I've got a fast 120km group ride planned this weekend, so assuming the weather plays ball, that should be a good first test of how they perform in the real world.

Regarding the graphics, I honestly prefer the look of my DAO (see photo) over the Tagoola Peak/Pulse (and the Aero Raptor ones too) but, of course, everyone has their own taste.

No manufacturer will say you that there's an option to put 28 mm tire on 25 IW rim. It's against ERTRO standard. But sure you can do that on hooked rims.

Actually, I seem to recall seeing specifications for 25–26C rims where the manufacturer claims compatibility with 28mm tires as well... so what is the truth in these cases?

Mate, I just fit tyres to rims and ride them. I've never really paid any attention to ETRTO, and as far as I'm aware they're guidance rather than a hard-and-fast rule.
For example, I've been running 28mm tyres on 25mm internal width rims for well over 18 months on some of my bikes without any issues at all. In my experience, there are plenty of tyre and rim combinations that work perfectly well despite not fitting neatly within every guideline.

Something intended to help people make decisions
It does not mean a strict rule that must always be followed.
I'm not the type of person to do something just because ETRTO or a manufacturer says it should or shouldn't work. If a combination is safe, fits correctly, and performs well in the real world, then I will do it
I might still try a 28mm tyre and see how it comes up on a 26mm internal rim, but for these wheels I'll most likely be running either 30mm or 32mm tyres. It'll depend on the actual measured tyre width (WAM) and the available frame clearance, especially at the rear of the ER One.

I assume if a wheel uses cnSpokes or Sapim, Pillar makes no difference.
That just leaves the questions is the Arc082 a good hub?

I’ve been running a set of ARC hubs on my Tagoola wheels (some of my friends use those hubs too) and they offer incredible performance and value for the money. ARC hubs are hard to beat on price-to-performance. I find them very reliable.
Like for every hub, keep an eye on bearing maintenance if you frequently ride in harsh conditions.

Loud side. I run 30 mm tires with my Tagoola wheels and it fits perfectly.

I went out on the wheelset on Saturday and covered just under 120 km in a group ride.
The 32 mm tyres measure 33.4 mm on the rims, and I was running 51 psi front and 55 psi rear.
Nothing out of the ordinary to report. To be honest, I didn't really pay much attention to the mini-hook design while riding, as everything performed exactly as expected
Regarding my comments about chasing lower wheel weights, my point is that most wheel brands tend to offer a one-size-fits-all approach, and generally that works well. However, not every wheelset is suitable for every rider or riding style.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with ultra-light wheelsets, but riders need to be realistic about their weight, riding style, road conditions and intended use. A 55 kg rider climbing smooth mountain roads has very different requirements from a 95 kg rider doing fast group rides on rough roads.
I think the first thing you need to decide is which tyre size you want to run.
I don't think 50mm is deep and is generally considered the best all round depth for a road wheel.
I would say the pulse is more suited to 28-30mm tyre looking at the rim width.
The Aura no doubt will take a 30m tyre however after mounting 32mm I say this or wider as I am also considering getting a set of 34mm for this wheelset
Personally, I prefer manufacturers that offer different build options and weight limits rather than simply advertising the lightest possible number.

I got the all Road wheelset last year, 40mm deep. Paired with 30mm Pirelli P Zero Race RS tube type tires + TPU tubes. I chose to add brass nipples and Sapim CX ray spokes. Don’t remember the actual weight now but it’s around 1450g iirc. Haven’t used them until now since I own 6 bikes and ride 95% gravel. But took them for a run this weekend and they were blissful. Even hit some PRs which is funny because I didn’t push myself particularly. They simply seem fast.
They’re not too loud, but definitely noticeable. They make a nice buzz. Comparing to my friends Bontrager Aeolus wheel (don’t remember the exact model but they’re on a top of the line Emonda SLR 9) they become really tiresome after a while, as they’re insanely loud.
I can fully recommend Tagoola from my short experience.

Hey everyone, just wanted to share a quick pre-review of my new Tagoola Cure 24 wheelset from AliExpress.
Order & Delivery:
Ordered on August 5th and they arrived at my doorstep on August 13th. The package was undamaged and well-protected. The wheels were packed in basic thin foam bags inside a larger plastic bag. Inside the box, they included two 60mm tubeless valves, a roll of 27mm tubeless tape, and a wheel tension report sheet.
Build Quality:
First impressions out of the box are very positive. The carbon layup looks perfectly clean with no visible imperfections from the assembly. The wheel build feels solid, and the freehub came pre-greased, emitting a nice, deep 'click..click..click' sound from the ratchet mechanism.
Weights & Specs (24mm Internal / 32.6mm External Width):
Total weight came out to 1465g with the tubeless tape and valves already installed, so the bare weight should be a bit lower. I am upgrading from stock Giant P-R2 wheels (which weigh a tank-like 2200g with Giant Fondo 32mm tyres). Shaving off roughly 730g should easily get me to Pogacar-level speeds!
Tyre Installation:
I mounted a set of 32mm Continental GP5000 S TR tyres. As expected, they were notoriously tight. I used a Tyre Glider and a bit of dish soap to guide them on, and they popped right into place. Best of all, they seated perfectly using just a regular floor pump—no compressor needed. At my usual pressure (49 psi front / 51 psi rear), the 32mm tyres stretch out to a nice 33.5mm width on these wide rims.
Next Steps:
I’m heading out for a 50km test ride this weekend and will report back with a full riding review. For now, initial impressions are great, and I’d definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a budget-friendly carbon wheelset.

Nothing wrong which chasing light wight, but especiallywith the the lower end of the market I have 'Strong. Light. Cheap. Pick Two' in mind and since I don't chase the lightest possible numbers I rather take a wheelset that is a bit heavier.
I was talking about the Cure 24 or the Wave 2.0, not the Aura.
I know that 50 isn't considered deep, would be just my first deeper wheelset so I'm a bit hessitant, but I've pushed back the purchase of new wheels for the time being anyways.

I want to say thank you to Tagoola.
I've been using AR XPLR since a bit less than a year on smooth and heavy gravel mountain roads. Unfortunately, after a ride, one of my friends noticed a bump on the side of my rear rim. It was cracked. I didn't notice it because there was not drop of tension, neither was some left/right or up/down deviation. The ride was indeed with rocks flying everywhere.
I contacted Tagoola and offered me a replacement rim for the price of shipping which was 39€ (45us$). He sent it the day after and received it 10 days later.
Really happy with customer service and the wheels !

Received my new tagoola xplr wheelset today.
Everything seemed flawless until when i was to apply rim tape and saw this line with exposed fibers, I am no carbon expert but i have taped many carbon rims and never saw something like this.
Contacted tagoola, waiting for the answer. New Bike Day without carbon wheels for me :(.

From de pic it doesn't seem like exposed fiber, but more like molding wax. Difficult to say with only this pic

I've done a total of 800kms on the wheel an so far so good, no problems at all, Freehub sounds amazing. A tad bit scary in crosswinds, but thats to be expected with 50mm wheels
