I'm currently watching the latest video from our friends at
NERO Cycling. Apparently there's been a leak about the new SL9 model, since this forum always has interesting insights. What do you think?
-
eh. I find it hard to be very interested in what big companies like Trek/Specialized are doing. It'll be nice but also way too expensive. Doesn't look to have anything particularly unique.

I find the price very unique 🤡🤡🤡.

Someone on Reddit who says they work for Specialized said it's fake 🤷♂️

well, now at least it really looks like a evolve Cima ... or the other way around? :-X ;D

The seatpost is interesting to me in the way that it seems to get narrower and deeper on the upper part. There's a chinese brand making these types of seatposts as aftermarket upgrades.

Given that they haven't been selling these for very long and that specialized usually spend a year+ on prototyping layups and stocking up product for release, I wonder if there were any idea leaks from the specialized factories that led to the above product.

I think the layup for a seatpost is much simpler than a layup for a frameset. Sure, they take their time with the frame layups, but I doubt they take a year for the seatpost.

Probably fake, but I only expect boring goyslop from that company anyway.
-
Can't wait for all the people complaining about the frame to order their knock offs as soon as they appear on Ali ::)

I’ve always been curious about the SL8/9. I’ve never ridden one, and unfortunately they don’t fit me so I never will.
-
Maybe you will find an sl8 frame for less than a quick Pro one ahahaha

Irrelevant, the prototyping and production of both would have begun at the same time.
