Re: Frame req? (Aero, dropped SS, high stack, short reach)
Looks great! Looking forward to have prices and geometry chart. I have another client building a new endurance mid march so if geometry and pricing is ok, might be a solid choice for him. looking good. I'm interested in geo chart.Geometry attached. Size 56cm would be the first mold available in April. Since we make this frameset with high standard as couple of big brands, you could tell the details when it is available, one piece mold, mixed of T1100, 40T, 30T Toray carbon fiber. latex molding etc. The price on this frameset with handlebar won't be that cheap as our previous frameset. But would be cheaper than some other Chinese brands. February 08, 2025, 07:19:09 AM |

Re: Frame req? (Aero, dropped SS, high stack, short reach)
Hi Peter, can you please add the min. / max. height of the rails to mount the saddle (measured from the center of the BB) to the geometry chart. I made a bad experiences and selected a frame that was not suitable for my saddle height. February 09, 2025, 11:21:08 AM |

Re: Hong-Fu Fm238 endurance-ish frame
All road, but only 32C? No t47? That sounds dated. Bb86 is better than t47 if done right, does your car use threaded or pressfit bearings? March 23, 2025, 03:04:19 PM |

XM Carbon Speed - "Gran Tourismo" Frameset
Hi everyone, In this other thread (https://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,4173.0.html) an aero frameset with high stack, low reach was requested and Peter delivered. It seems like I've got the first one so here's the facts: Size 56 Unpainted Parts delivered: frame, fork, seapost, mounting hardware (2 different) for saddle, UDH hanger, front mech hanger, thru axles, grommets Weights on the pictures include mech hanger (front and rear) Thoughts: looks extremely well made. Seapost looks a little thin for my liking, would have preferred 27,2 - but aero... Planned components: Wheels: Ninevelo GV45 Updates: Paint Cerakote with Gun Candy effect clears ("Kraken" for the Frame, "Mako" for fork and seatpost) Tires: Vittoria Corsa in 34 since I'm not planning on going tubeless and the GP 5000 only comes in 35 as AS TR Headset and stern: Ritchey Switch Handlebars: Easton EA90AX - 42 Chainset JKT 150mm Groupset and breaks: GRX 1x11 May 28, 2025, 11:45:10 AM |

Re: Can we migrate this forum to a modern forum? I'm tired of the broken pages.
Sitar_Ned is the forum's administrator. You can reach out to them via PM or email. Honestly, not much capacity at all. It's just me and I am in no way a web developer or webmaster. Just a simpleton Arkansas mountain biker that somehow figured out how to get this forum up 10 years ago. I know the broken pages are annoying... and I am sorry about that... I do try to fix them immediately when they pop up so please do let me know.. I really appreciate it. I do have plans to upgrade to the latest SMF version to fix little issues like that but I'm sorry to disappoint anyone but there are no plans to "modernize" the forum in any way. No desire to have some modern mobile-friendly, super slick, dark mode interface. Chinertown will remain old-school looking with zero ads and zero optimizations for Google search. My main goal going forward is to keep AI out of the forum as much as possible. That's just my jam but I do understand if it isn't for everyone. That said, I am certainly open and interested to hear everyone's input/advice/ideas and really appreciate it. June 06, 2025, 06:52:42 AM |

Re: XM Carbon Speed - "Gran Tourismo" Frameset
I like the look of this frame but, according to the geometry chart, the standover is really high/there are no small sizes. VeloBuild's new gravel frame has a similar issue. Anyone with a sub 80cm/31.5" inseam is going to struggle to fit this frame. That is probably over half of all people. It seems like the designers forget than when you make the headtube taller or need to accommodate big tires, you have to slope the top tube to keep the standover from getting unreasonably tall.

Re: XM Carbon Speed - "Gran Tourismo" Frameset
I hope to get my Frameset this evening - so updates could come from then on... Unfortunately due tu injury, timing with the paint-guy everything took ages... now someone tried to break into our cellar and I have no Idea wheter they managed to get to the parts and my tools (or how I could enter the cellar since they've damaged the door and the lock)... So far it's been pretty doomed... I'll keep you posted as soon as things start to move... August 04, 2025, 04:27:53 AM |
