Re: Spcycle New Mold SP-R088 Carbon Road Frame Took it out on its maiden voyage tonight, just a quick shakedown for 30km. To be honest it didn’t feel that much different to my Condor, it wasn’t exactly mind blowing, but still nice. I wasn’t pushing it though. I’m not trying to say it’s slow or anything, nor am I disappointed, I just think it’s more about the rider than the bike. That said I’m very excited to get back out on it.

Weighs in at around 7.1kg, minus varia + mount, light, saddlebag, computer, bottle.

Specialized Sworks seat post fits a treat and it’s really a lovely thing, glad I got it. The balugoe handlebar is also really nice, stiff enough, but like I said this was an easy ride, I weigh 75kg and I’m not that powerful so ymmv. Got some bigrock cranks on the way hopefully get it sub 7kg.

With the LTwoo battery holder, you'll have to slide it inside the R088 seat tube. Just tie 2 pieces of ribbon string on each end of the battery holder. Ribbon string is buoyant so it's easier to grab onto. Slide the battery holder all the way down. It might be necessary to carefully cut the seat post a few centimeters to achieve proper seat post height on smaller frames.

Since I'm using a carbon fiber computer mount, it seems to absorb shock quite well. Also I find I can loop the nylon cords from my bar bag to give it slightly more stability. My handle bars have just enough space to add the 2 clamps, but it'll interfere with my phone mount, so I opted for the 1 clamp mount under the computer.

I'm currently using Serfas cork bar tape on all my bikes (bought from US Amazon). This bar tape has excellent elasticity, durability and it's easy to clean with a cloth and alcohol spray. The backing has non-residual adhesive that's easy to remove using a blowdryer or heat gun. I've transferred the bar tape several times over from different handlebars and they still look like-new.

Also I'm using an Enlee bar bag (can be found on AliExpress). The bag casing holds it shape even when empty and the straps are gummy on one side so they don't slip. I use this bag on both my gravel bikes.

What is going on?

Install the chain. The chain tension pulls the cage away from the RD body and it'll allow you to properly gauge the b-screw tension and dial in the low and high limit screws. You can also start fine tuning cog distance with the app. Stop asking questions until that chain is installed.  ::)
