I ordered this week. Size 52 with the HBR14. It is the eurobike painting with other colours. At first i would like to take the eurobike pattern with a teal green instead of black but the dont have the colours. Wendy said could arrive end of march in germany. Hi all, Just a couple of notes to make today regarding the LCR018-D. 1. If you have downtube storage - check the latch bolt regularly! Going over a rough patch of road today while out on my ride the whole door went flying with cage and bottle all attached. Managed to get it back without a car driving over it, but my lovely multi coloured anodised finish on the cage has been badly scratched which is very annoying. 2. I retract my statement that this bike isn't overly fast!! I have a route which I use once a week as my benchmark route for training - around 32km, mixed terrain (280m climbing total). I have over 50 saved activities on this route, shared between my old Aeroad copy and the LCR018-D. Best average ive ever had on the Aeroad was 32.2km/hr. Today on the LCR018-D I averaged 32.1km/hr. This is not overly scientific, more just to let everyone know that this bike can be fast if you want it to be. Its already crazy comfortable for me, so to have sunshine today and get it out in good weather with a jersey on instead of a winter coat - I put it thorough its paces properly and it really is fantastic. Considering as well that the Aeroad is at least 2-3cm lower in stack, it makes the LCR018-D time even more impressive. I will be changing the fork on the LCR018-D to my spare one which I have cut lower and will drop the front end by 1.5-2cm, so that should make things even more interesting, but regardless, the bike is fantastic and a joy to ride. I am not claiming that the LCR018-D is the fastest bike out there, (im building up a Cervelo S3 at the minute which I expect to absolutely crush all my times), but for what is an incredible endurance bike is, it is no slouch! around here, there are several "bike brands" selling lightcarbon frames. some are talking about "development" they did and even win awards at bike shows. lol €6200 for a 105Di2 build is disgusting, just as an example but elves offer full builds with an electronic groupset and custom paint for £3300. Yes I did! I dont think it cost more.Damn, i didn't even think about this option while ordering. Would've been nice to see some of the possible options beforehand like with the storage compartment. Now my frame has already been build. :'( April 22, 2026, 08:43:59 AM |
