ICAN P9 29ER ENDURO BUILD
Been lurking on here for a while deciding whether to take the plunge and buy a 160/150mm travel charbon enduro. After research online, finding out about Evolve Bikes in Canada and YEEPYEEP putting me onto to Jordan Boostmeister I was sold. Bought a frame and shock from ICAN for $1500AUD to my door and spec'd it up to what I wanted. The original plan was to use all the bits off my Specialized Enduro but I decided I had had enough of paying "SRAM tax" for parts. Specs of the build: ICAN P9 frame unpainted Rockshox 160mm Lyric RC2 with debonair @51mm offset (converted my Yari to new Lyrik) Rockshox 210x55mm Super Deluxe Shock Box One Extra Wide derailleur Box One Shifter Raceface Aeffect 24mm cinch crank with 165mm arms Raceface 30 tooth cinch chainring Shimano Hollowtech 68mm BSA BB Novatec boost hubs with Shimano driver Raceworks 11-50 tooth cassette (China) Magura MT5 brakes Oneup 150mm dropper post and remote Deity 35mm stem Deity 800mm bars DT Swiss EX511 rear wheel Roval Control front wheel (temporary until EX511 hoops are back in stock) Custom 3D printed downtube bash guard (will be available for purchase soon if enough interest) Only been on one ride but this thing absolutely rips. Plush yet playful and has minimal pedal bob. Very responsive on direction change but my only gripe is the BB is too low and I pedal strike a fair bit. September 18, 2019, 05:45:05 PM |

Re: Himalo 29 Aluminum
If your looking for aluminum find a taiwanese manufacturer or just buy used. China is not known for high quality aluminum. Also the carbon frames are excellent quality do don't be scared. LightCarbon.com Yinshun bikes... same company as lightcarbon they make high quality stuff might be the best in the game right now Promance - the most bought xc full suspension m78007ii Edge design international - uci approved frames paint ready to go only issue 120 days shipping Carbona - linked to planetx and thesis All these companies are excellent options for carbon if you want to get allout I recommend contacting Kenstone Taiwan they make the bikes for kona and might be able to give you a sample... FYI taiwanese companies can be hard to connect with. If you need help getting a frame please send me a message with budget and type of bike your wanting. October 09, 2019, 01:39:43 PM |

Re: Suggestions to bring a build under $2k - ICAN P9 Frame
i'm really curious - what's the dampening setup on a himalo fork like? what range of fox/rockshox forks are they comparable to? Edit: I guess youtube links are banned? A guy named GravityCheckMTB did a in depth review on one. October 14, 2020, 09:43:22 PM |

831 https://imgur.com/gallery/wpzdgP2 Size limit still too small. Every phone out there now has high resolutiin lense. 1mb wont cut it. See the link above. Edited: Bearing was suspected to be pressed in too much. Hence pitted. Will get replacements. October 14, 2020, 09:58:18 PM |

Re: Suggestions to bring a build under $2k - ICAN P9 Frame
then try these 35mm internal That looks a lot more promising but I'm not to sure about that seller. I then found this one, from the same seller, same fork name USD 6, same description, black lowers instead of bronze and $240A more. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000033355098.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.1000060.2.41e63369tYqYbN&gps-id=pcDetailBottomMoreThisSeller&scm=1007.13339.169870.0&scm_id=1007.13339.169870.0&scm-url=1007.13339.169870.0&pvid=1991ebbd-59b9-45ab-b026-9891485c4d7b&_t=gps-id:pcDetailBottomMoreThisSeller,scm-url:1007.13339.169870.0,pvid:1991ebbd-59b9-45ab-b026-9891485c4d7b,tpp_buckets:668%230%23131923%2377_668%23808%233772%23408_668%23888%233325%232_668%232846%238107%2323_668%232717%237562%23500_668%231000022185%231000066059%230_668%233468%2315614%23576 At this point I'm thinking no rebound and why don't they do boost and will they take a + tyre so I check for a DNM website. This is now looking far more promising but pricing is also now in the ball bark of 2nd hand branded stuff from Fox, RS and DVO. All bases covered here and with an accurate description, with a weight now pushing 3kg. https://www.dnmshock.com/products.php?func=p_detail&p_id=10&pc_parent=7 Edit: Just noticed the one on the DNM website is USD-6A not USD-6 Can't find a 6A on Aliexpress, nor anywhere else with google.
