Re: 105 DI2 bike for 1550$
Yes, it seems taobao is the only place you can buy them, but that's alright since you can use visa card and deliver it with forwarder. Regarding frame geometry and look, it doesn't look like SL7, the closes I found is Canyon Aeroad, look at the thick fork and curves. I think this bike is just top notch by looking to the price, I bought every component by myself and it was around 1800$ with 105 11 speed mechanical and aluminum Dtswiss e1800 used wheels, so it's a steal if you ask me. Re: dcrf26 frame - Scott Foil?
So, here's my experience with the frame, btw i bought it from Sequel Aliexpress, so they sell it with different handlebar, they also include ceramic BB: Positives: 1) The frame is super high quality, fork steerer is round, bearing seat stay is also perfect fit without wobble, inside is clean and not bad. 2) It's stiff, responsive as my aluminium frame, but much more comfortable (i'm living in Uzbekistan and our roads are not that good), i'm using 28c tyre btw. But some folks including my LBS master and friend who saw how i ride and tried bike by themselves, said that it wobbles a little bit and they said that it's not a bad thing, but i didn't noticed, coming from Aluminium frame and and i wanted the same stiffness. 3) Handlebar is also stiff, and really good 4) I thought that i need to replace ceramic bearings in BB, but by a spin test, it spins extremely good. 5) TanTan made a really good thing with their seatpost, that have rails like TT bikes, allowing you for wider range of movement. Negatives: 1) Handlebar, seatpost clamp have such a tight fit, that they need to be polished or you just couldn't insert them. 2) LBS master said that he tried everything, by couldn't route cables internally, they are visible under stem, he said that holes in handlebar are small. Sorry for my bad english and low amount of photos, i didn't have time to make them *update* Components and everything else for the bike including prices you can find here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NXJkVPyU0gNzbjs-0Z0nKeOFNHTmwJx_35oN1GhVfI0/edit?usp=sharing The overall weight is 8.3kg July 31, 2023, 12:13:15 AM |

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
Has anyone noticed that the iOS app changelog states that they added 10-12speed fonction to eRX? Just thinking aloud here Firmware permitting, you could pair a Rotor 10-36T 13s cassette (designed for KMC X12 chain) with 46/36 CX chainrings to hodgepodge yourself a 2x13 setup The 32T advertised max RD handles 34T just fine so 36T isn't out of the question, especially with the help of a RoadLink DM The cassette itself is the same as Rotor's 11-36T 12s cassette but with an extra 10T and needs to be mounted on its own proprietary hub (basically an extended HG) August 09, 2023, 12:06:52 PM |

Re: Yishun R086-D Aero Road
The frameset arrived today. 6 days total. First impressions are the frameset legitimately looks OEM-quality. Whatever that means. The separate stem I ordered is straight identical to my latest Yoeleo R12, and Yishun also included the Di2 rubber battery seatpost mount. I don't recall any brand under $1000usd providing stuff like that. Also the included plastic headset cover and spacers are of very similar quality to both Yoeleo and Winspace. Caliper mounts (upon quick inspection) are properly faced. Probably the best faced mounts I've seen under $1000. I can't remember whom in this forum said Yishun/LightCarbon was a step above the other cheap frames, but so far I tend to agree. If you remove the matte black paint, you're basically looking a mostly aero-ish frame around 1000g. The frame kind of has some Pinarello Dogma F elements to it with the funky shapes. The geometry and unboxing makes me excited to dismantle my TanTan x38 (I dont love that frame) so I can get this one going before fall. The only weird quirk is the fork is almost 100g heavier than any other frame I've tested. CX and gravel frames included. Frame (Size 54): 1114g Fork: 488g Seatpost: 238g Handlebar 40cm Width: 242g Stem (130mm -10): 182g Other Frame Weights For Reference VeloBuild 168 (unpainted): 1005g VeloBuild 177: 1044g Dengfu R12 (unpainted): 1112g TanTan x38 (unpainted): 1148g Winspace T1500: 1218g Yoeleo R12: 1344g 2022 Allez Sprint: 1521g August 11, 2023, 08:41:41 PM |

Re: Yishun R086-D Aero Road
The matte black paint, aero wheels, and my saddle to bar drop really help mask the frame design quirks. I'm going to keep the bike as shown, as I'm almost at my limits mentally this season with tinkering with bikes. Some notable things: -The caliper mounts were perfectly faced. First time ever in a sub-$1000 frame. Took me only 10 minutes to align the brakes. -The supplied bolts for both the saddle clamp and seatpost are robust. Saddle clamp uses two bolts: a 5mm and 6mm size bolt. Seatpost clamp foregoes the standard 4mm bolt in favor of a 5mm. -I ordered a 40cm width separate handlebar. My measurements show 38cm at the hoods (center to center) and flares to 40cm in drops. This is perfect, as I originally requested 38cm bars of which were sold out. -Fit and finish around the frame from the bottom bracket to the headset cups were practically flawless. Yes I'm aware that paint can easily cover imperfections, however this isn't any different than ordering a painted frame from any brand on the market. August 16, 2023, 01:36:55 PM |

Re: dcrf26 frame - Scott Foil?
11:00 mark onward - One of the most popular cycling podcast shows Chris Miller/Jesse Coyle shout me out and discusses my TanTan x38 review. They offer up some really good perspective. And honestly their perspective on the x38 might actually be more "reasonable" than mine. Super flattered to see the China Forums being represented.
