Re: WheelTop EDS TX Full Wireless Groupset (Chinese SRAM)
has anyone tried full chinese 13 speed with Wheeltop TX or GeX?

I have 1 x 12 GeX on my gravel bike and am thinking about buying a 13 speed MTB cassette and chain off aliexpress, the advantage being i can keep using the HG freehub.

Interested to know how good the shifting quality is.

I considered 13 speed for my road bike build, as the TX can handle it and 13 speed cassettes are available. But I canned the idea as 1) it wasn’t clear what chain to use 2) no guarantee of shifting quality and 3) cassettes much heavier than the lightweight Ztto 12 speed I selected.

So I’m also interested in anyone whose tried 13, but for me it will be a future upgrade, not current choice 🤔😉

Re: ICAN TT017 TT Bike Build
my TT017 frame turned up a few days ago and i've run into a problem. i'm using a Rock Bros DUB carbon crankset with a standard road spindle, and a Kactus T47 DUB BB. The spindle on the crank sticks out way too far, too far to compensate with spacers. Can anyone tell me what i'm doing wrong? I did some digging around and this is the shortest spindle in the DUB standard. According to Wheels MFG:

So since the TT017 has a 68mm wide BB, does that mean i have to get a T47 BB with external bearings?

Yep that´s right. Happened to me with a FELT B12 from 2014 with a 68mm bb wide. You´ll need a BB with external bearings if you want to use a new crankset. I´ve had no issues with it, it spins fast.

Re: Quick Pro TR:One aero extensions
i am jealous that you are in uci height category 3 and have got 14cm to play with for the aero extension rise. I was in the market for some aero extensions for my TT:ONE i had a look at the TRONE cockpit and the rise looks to be greater than the 12cm i am allowed in my UCI height category (even with 0 degree angle washers). And for that matter, most of the wattshop/fast TT copies on Ali look to cater for the triathlon crowd, since most look to be greater than 14cm rise. In any case I don't want to spend $600+ so also looked at aliexpress for cheaper options. I ended up ordering these last week in size small to (hopefully) sit within the 830mm limit from centre of BB to tip of extensions:

and the rise doesn't look to be too great, so (again hopefully) i can adjust so for around a 12cm rise from armrest to tip.

Also ordered this adaptor plate, the seller told me it should fit the monoriser on my TT:ONE, if not will drill out correct hole spacing.

Haha yes, one good thing with being over 190cm tall in cycling! ;) Otherwise my height just makes me rather like a sail in the wind...

Please tell me how this went with the Winow extensions! I've looked at them as well. And the adaptor plate is a good shout, been looking for something like that.

They are available to buy.

Wow, thanks! Amazing how when I inquired on 21th May, I got the response "Sorry, we do not sell this item separately.". I will be in contact with them as well.
