Re: New frame: Longteng RD301-D
Nice build, I am becoming more and more interested in this as an all-purpose bike! I don’t have calipers for exact measurements but hopefully these pics will help. The rim internal width is 22, and it looks like the 32s are 32 when inflated. There’s been a bunch of content recently from folks like Nero on “all road” bikes like the Enve Melee and Ribble Allroad, which is interesting because I think this frame fits in that category: not an aggressive racing geometry, but not upright like endurance bikes - it sits in the middle where comfort and speed intersect. With a bit of room for rough pavement / light gravel. That’s exactly what I’m looking for, let’s see how this thing actually rides when the weather cooperates. November 05, 2024, 02:19:18 AM |

Re: Speeder Cycling SC-R55D
Received my SC-R55D a few days ago. Almost 2 months from the order to receiving it at my door. Shipping was only a few days (Fedex International Priority). Size 535 (more like a 56-58cm). This is my first carbon bike, I'm not sure what's normal and what isn't. NOTE I specifically requested it to be unpainted. So, naturally it looks rougher than one you might receive with the standard matte clear coat. Don't judge it too much based on the unfinished appearance. I'll disassemble and paint it in the spring. Photos (82) https://imgur.com/a/tJCYRZ4 BB Shell I measured the BB with a bore gauge, 6 measurements per side and averaged. DS: 40.97mm NDS: 41.02mm Could be better, could be (far) worse, I think the ideal is like 40.98mm-41.00mm. DS should be fine, NDS I might use a bit of Loctite 641 for good measure, but will see how it feels first. Weights
Frame + essential small parts (hanger, FD tab, seatpost clamp, rubber cover): 905.7g I didn't purchase the offered thru-axles, getting some blue ones from elsewhere. Notes/Issues
Aero Random dimensions for unscientific aero weenie comparisons:
As I might've mentioned earlier, I'm doing a weird setup with a +17 deg stem to approximate the simplon/cervelo/bianchi/colnago thing and to get enough stack for my tall self. Then I'll design a fairing that encloses the stem/spacers/cables to make it sleeker and more aero. Hoping to finish it up by mid-January and have it ready for spring racing. Re: Seraph Bikes Superlight 836g X68 - Alternative to SL8 Fakes?
I went to a few local stores to me yesterday and test rode actual SL8 to figure out size. I'm 188cm and 91.4cm inseam. My torso is a bit short compared to my legs and so are my arms. Wingspan is 190cm. mine were faced perfectly. Both BB and brake mounts. But I just have a standart black frame. Btw I should have made around 4000 km on the frame up to now. All good still. No issues to report at all. July 08, 2025, 02:07:56 PM |

Re: Seraph Bikes Superlight 836g X68 - Alternative to SL8 Fakes?
I also bought a "Ali Roval" Computer mount as a precautionary measure, however, the mout which came with the frame was just fine... In my opinion no need for another one.

Re: Assisting Force AF01
I was lucky to get one at Eurobike ![]() The frame (a super light one), seatpost, and bars are from them. SRAM XPLR Red for the transmission. The wheels are from my CFR505, which is very sad being dropped after so many years together, and I will move to LightBicycle WG55 with carbon spokes. I'll end up with 45mm tires, the frame allows 50 I just did a quick 50km ride in the woods nearby yesterday. It is stiff, in a good way. It doesn't flex at all when pedaling hard, sprinting, or fast cornering. And if feels more precise to handle. Even making a U-turn is easier. As pictured, it is 7.8kg If you are in Europe, one finding from this build is https://www.wielerkoopjes.nl/ and their sister site https://www.wheel-parts.shop/nl/. They sell good OEM components, no fancy boxes, but great prices and excellent service. For the name, yeah... there's a cultural thing here. Darevie is another example of these out-of-nowhere words. Initially, it did hurt my feelings, but now I'm starting to get used to it. In any case, it's vinyl stickers. I’m not a good photographer, so I took many pictures to be sure I got at least a few good ones : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1b45PRepiLBsEmhYl47EmzG9tmCGcI2TG

Re: Velobuild AERO GRAV Frame
My build is finished. I’m very satisfied with the frame’s quality, even though I had some concerns before it arrived.

Re: Assisting Force AF01
I know looks are subjective but for me this bike is ugly af and the branding is even worse. What where they thinking with this goofy name?
