I used the Fox m8x22.86 with crush washer for the rear and Rockshox m8x30 for the front.

The bearing mount from the SC Hightower/Bronson will not fit. I looked at having the lower link milled to allow the bearing mount to fit. I didn’t feel comfortable with the remaining aluminum having the structural integrity to handle much abuse. I chose to change the damper body in that shock to the standard eyelet version and it has worked well.

I recommend that you are careful when tightening the grub screw. While tightening the grub, I could feel the aluminum in the link stretching. I could also see the aluminum distorting on the backside of the link. I was using a small Allen key and did not think I was torqueing it down very much.  However, it appears to be an excellent fix and I look forward to testing out on the trail. Thanks JJJ and good luck to all

Hello,

Casey from Alaska. This is a sweet site with some great information and plenty of lessons learned from knowledgeable people.

Thanks for all of the nuggets of knowledge to help me complete my first build for my daughter.

Cheers!

About to start my build.  I got a new takeoff rockshox super deluxe from an SC Bronson (210x55).  It has the  30mm roller bearing on the damper.  Has anyone successfully modified the link to make it fit?
