Wanted to add this to this thread. It was brought up earlier, but I had forgotten and I doubt I'm the only one.

Just a quick note about sizing.  The AM831 runs a size larger than the SC. A medium 831 is the same size as a large SC. Below are the numbers for both frames.

If you're unsure about sizing,  here's the link to the SC page. https://www.santacruzbicycles.com/en-US/bikes/hightower

Hey guys i just got an email from Eddy H about being able to pay them directly for the frames and we could get the discounted price.  I told him i wanted three frames and he asked what color and other info.  Has anybody else been in contact with him? He also asked for paypal info so he could send an invoice for the three frames.  Is this guy the real deal before i send 1800 USD?  I feel way better sending money directly to the company than to a member of chinertown. This is my preferred way?
Eddy and Haideli are legit.

where can i find the color chart?
Color chart is on the first page of this thread.

Eddy - is it possible to add a shock and a fork? If so, what are the options?

So Miracle has some listings on AliBaba with full builds of this frame and they're pairing it with 160mm forks.  Someone with more knowledge of geo/this frame vs hightower, do you think it could be run with 210x52.5 shock and 150mm fork to match the hightower?  160f/150r is bit excessive for my area.
Geo on the Miracle and HT are almost exactly the same.

I think the 52.5 and 150 would get you pretty close. The newest HT is 145 mm rear and a 52.5 would be almost the same.

Miracle has their SC Hightower in production.  Miracle list the frame for $999 but EddScott has organized a group buy that could get the cost down to $500 if we get over 50 frames.  See the stickied thread at the top of the 29er section.  Though initially hesitant, Miracle has agreed to except payment from each individual.

It's been worked out so that Edd will not have to front the money. Everyone will pay Haideli directly.

Here is the link to the frame.

Miracle has agreed to take individual payments.  Everyone will pay Miracle directly.  See EddScott's thread that is stickied at the top of the 29" section.

OK.

RobertRinAustin - Jenny has asked if we're on the same forum and I've confirmed. Somewhat of a pain as I've been faffing with this for a while now but this is good news. I'm sure they communicate on some level. Both said no to individual payments previously.

Miracle have quoted me $540, Top Fire $560. Top Fire have said the frames are different. Both have said the Carbon used is Toray carbon. I also asked about wheels etc and these need 50% payment as well.

So, happy days, bit of a relief to be honest. Who we going with? RobertRinAustin - can you confirm between them if the frames actually are different?

As there is already a sticky for this, I'm happy to edit it for the new terms.
Thanks for all you've done. I figured you'd talked to the same people, but just played dumb. Doubt they would have agreed to individual payments if you hadn't done the ground work. I've asked both for full specs and geo to compare. I've also asked about payment options.

Working on quotes from 2 different sellers, no pricing yet. Accepting individual payments and direct ship is a requirement. Shipping is estimated at $160-$220 based on shipping to US and Europe. Lead time is 30-60 days, paint adds 2 weeks. Production will not start until all orders are finalized.

Anyone interested in adding a shock to their frame? Rockshox seems to be an option.  Will get more details if anyone is interested.

I've reached out to a few sellers to see if they are interested in doing the group buy. You would pay directly to the seller and frame would be shipped directly to you. I'll keep the group posted.

There is an easy method to work out wheel travel... it is the leverage ratio x the shock travel = wheel travel so to find the leverage ratio we do know that on the specs we have wheel travel is 100mm and shock travel is (165 x)40 so leverage ratio will be 100/40=2.5 so for 42.5 shock travel it will be 42.5x2.5=106.25 - not even 110 unless you can somehow fettle a 45mm stroke shock on there which will give you 112.5
I was hoping to get 120mm travel out of this frame but looks like I'll have to go with either the LCFS937/958 (cracking issues resolved?) or the FM1001 and forgo the flexstay kinematics...
I measured mine at about 118 mm of travel with a 42.5. Could have pushed a little more and probably gotten to 120 pretty easily.

NS list travel at 100 mm with a 37.5 and 120 with a 42.5. Based on my measurements, I see no reason to doubt them. I haven't tested a 37.5 or a 40, but I suspect the 37.5 would give you slightly more than 100 mm of travel.

Frame was mounted level, shock degassed, wheels off and a jack under the rear axle. Didn't push much beyond shock travel to get the 118 mm.

Hey guys,
anyone checked the rear travel when using a 165x42.5 instead of 165x40mm?
Also the tyre clearance when fully compressed with 29x2.35 or 29x2.4 tyres?
Running 42.5 with a Maxxis Ardent 2.4 and no issues.

Had a chat with Jenny this morning.

Lead time quoted as 60-70 days.

She said cost of carbon gone up so USD 550 for 30. USD499 for 50.

Shipping to individual group buy member. Shipping would be in top.

Pantone colours available but cost on top.

Payment - this is where it may fall down. Because they don't know how many will actually order they want one payment.

Payment would be made through Alibaba. I'll need to check things like protection etc.

I'm in UK so USD550 is £400. That's £12000 before shipping and paint. I could buy 10 of small, medium, large and have shipped to me but then costs on top to ship to members.

This would be unpainted as they'd be on a first come first served basis. Also, I'm not taking responsibility if the frame has a defect. Going down the route of taking on responsibility, I'd have to sell close to individual price to cover frame issues/delivery issues. Probably closer to £600 each plus shipping unpainted. Yes, I'd make on them but the whole thing is likely to be a massive ball ache  :)

I don't mind arranging and taking payments off individuals. Can do colours then. You'd get all my contact details and anything else that might be needed to track me down if I take all your money and buy a speed boat or something. That risk is up to you. But I'll collect, pay and arrange shipping etc if that is what everyone wants.

Said I'd go back to her next 7-10 days. Thoughts?

With import taxes and double shipping, it's not going to be worth it for me. There are plenty of resellers that will have this bike once it's in production that I'm sure will do a group buy.
