My friend also built a LCFS947 and he loves it. HE also has a TREK Fuel EX 9,7 and in most ways the LCFS947 is better. Its a better climber and its better downhill, only on tight technical trails the TREK is  a little quicker. (its shorter)

To get ok clearance with the Marzocchi Bomber CR i did a small modification on the coil and damper. I grinded of about 3 mm on the backside and now its all clear

Today I had my first ride on the LCFS947 and its really a great bike. It climbs extremely well and is super stable on descends. Its a long bike so it feels a little slower throwing around rocks and tight trails. I have a Marzocchi Bomber CR on it and it works great. But its very, very tight so I cant adjust the spring by hand, I need a little tool.

Tomorrow Im taking my LCFS958 for a ride to get a fell of the differences and to start finding out if I prefer one before the other.

All things now put together.  I have a 120 mm dropper-post, I will most likely replace it with a 150 mm, there is space for it. The Marzocchi Bomber CR is a bit difficult to get in place and to adjust the spring compared to a air damper, the coil works against me. But when all adjustments are done its no problem, then the Marzocchi fight is over. I  haven't taken the bike into the woods yet, but my first impression is that it fells a lot like my LCFS958.

Hopefully all adjustments are done before next weekend so that the first trail test can take place.

The bike is almost finished. A chain and some adjustments left before I can test-ride it. I am happy that I choose a 120 mm dropper for the size L frame. Im 184 cm tall and it would not have worked with a higher dropperpost.

The tire clearance is ok. Here is a image with 2.6" Continental Trail King on 30 mm rim.

The chainstay protector is from Nukeproof, that I modified to fit.

The new LCFS947 is HUGE!!!!! And with 51mm offset on the Lyrik form its even longer. I have never ridden something like this, its going to be very interesting and exciting.

Yes this will be my 4:th (and last....???) bike to build. Its so much fun and the bikes are great. But I don't think they are easy to sell so they are only great value and fun for myself.

The bike is almost ready, just some adjustments left to do. And when the snow and cold is gone, time for a testride.

I helped a friend to order a frame from Light Carbon. He has seen my LSFS911 and LCFS958 and got inspired. His coice of frame was the LCFS713, a more enduroinspired frame. He is buikding it for his son and wife to share, so the size is Medium. I think it looks great.

Thanks Philipp.

I have had the bike for a couple of months now and ride 2-4 times a week. I love it, its fantastic and I am a better rider with this bike than with my "old" Merida One-Twenty 800. I climb better, i descend better, I fell more safe and take on challenges I did not before.

The "Akkebike" lettering is 343*40 mm.

The dropper post is a problem, I first tried a 170 mm but it was to long so now I have a 125 mm dropper with a total length of 420 mm and that works well.

I have built 3 "Akkebikes"  so now the whole family has one each. This is really fun so i am planning another build, the more Enduro-oriented LSFS 947.

Best regards

Stefan

Done with my third Light Carbon bike. For myself I have built a LCFS958 and for the rest of the family I have built 2 LCFS911. For the future I am really curious abouth the LCFS947 frame.

Overall I am very happy with the quality of the Light Carbon frames and they are great to ride.
