Yes I sent Chris a few messages. He said push harder but not possible. Have a look at the photos attached.

"Push harder"
Unbelievable!
There is a pic of my bike, you can see that it is completely flat in the fork. So Chris or whoever sent you the wrong crown has to take responsibility

P.D: We've been having problems with the headset and the stem since we built our bikes. We ordered new aluminuim stems and Chris didn´t sent us the new washer needed. And if you read this post, you can see that simmilar issues are recurrent.
What annoys me the most is that this frame has been in the market for a few years and they never bother to solve desing issues. Same happened to other frames from Velobuild. I don´t think I could recommend this brand to anyone I know.

Great news.
Hope now I can get my FD perfect, because I could never get it not to rub when riding in the biggest cog.
I´ll give my feedback after I try it

Hi all,

Just starting my build. First problem I've encountered is the headset bearing sitting too high above the black crown race. I was wondering if I was sent the wrong crown race. Has anyone had this problem?

I can't attach a photo of issue so changed my profile photo.

Thanks

I´ve never seen this problem.
Do the bearing and the crawn fit well outside the fork, just to see if they match?
Looks like diameter´s bearing is a bit small.
Did you write Chris about this?

Cannot be, those were replaced recently.

Have you tried any other wheel in that bike? Couldn´t be maybe the RD jockey wheels? Or some particular sprocket?
Is it noisy while pedaling only or coasting too?
I don´t know, just brainstorming.
Is the rd hanger tight?

I think nobody wants to be the first guinea pig.
1st itineration of chinese products tend to have some flaws. And spending this kind of money it´s more than risky.
I couldn´t find any Ytuber unboxing this frameset.
I wonder if they have made more than the model from the photoshoots.

Also curious about this as I research the very few options available. Anyone have insight?

For bars measuring a diameter between 22-24 mm: HD-T910
For bars measuring a diameter between 24-25 mm: HD-T912

Just began ordering parts for this build, thank you all for the wisdom!

HD-T910 is what you need, I built 2 vb-023 with them (I asked trp custommer service)

Component Deals & Selection / Re: chinese carbon saddles

I bought the Kore saddle because the West biking failed after, let´s say, 1500km, so very few km in good road conditions and my 74kg ass. It broke not on the rails, but on the seat plastic structure (there is a pic of that with the ironic QCpassed sticker).
I chose the Kore because I have the wheels and everybody likes them, so I gave it a shot.
Here are a few pics comparing both models.
Hope it lasts more than the West Biking.
They are in the same US60 price range, depending on offers.

Hi.
Well you need an AXS 2x crankset with dub (29mm) spindle to match your BB, and 150/155mm crank lenght.
There are limited options specially with those cranks lenghts, but here is one:

https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005009042091601.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.1.1d60osLzosLz2w&algo_pvid=6df2a8ab-7235-4de7-8940-5c3f9b0e98c3&algo_exp_id=6df2a8ab-7235-4de7-8940-5c3f9b0e98c3-0&pdp_ext_f=%7B%22order%22%3A%2212%22%2C%22eval%22%3A%221%22%2C%22fromPage%22%3A%22search%22%7D&pdp_npi=6%40dis%21USD%21375.10%21206.30%21%21%21375.10%21206.30%21%402101de2517856839605701546e0d56%2112000049043323678%21sea%21AR%21185111422%21X%211%210%21n_tag%3A-29919%3Bd%3A9ba602fd%3Bm03_new_user%3A-29895&curPageLogUid=b9xH0sWaOAwo&utparam-url=scene%3Asearch%7Cquery_from%3A%7Cx_object_id%3A1005009042091601%7C_p_origin_prod%3A&tblci=GiATyNuZ97LzOk3RuLsw9eQGuPfXmc2EjXkVosAfqTlLCSDA9m4or8CawNHT-JwTMOTOPQ

And another a little more expensive:

https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005009424830295.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.39.1d60osLzosLz2w&algo_pvid=6df2a8ab-7235-4de7-8940-5c3f9b0e98c3&algo_exp_id=6df2a8ab-7235-4de7-8940-5c3f9b0e98c3-36&pdp_ext_f=%7B%22order%22%3A%2241%22%2C%22eval%22%3A%221%22%2C%22fromPage%22%3A%22search%22%7D&pdp_npi=6%40dis%21USD%21528.84%21280.29%21%21%21528.84%21280.29%21%402101de2517856839605701546e0d56%2112000052605389212%21sea%21AR%21185111422%21X%211%210%21n_tag%3A-29919%3Bd%3A9ba602fd%3Bm03_new_user%3A-29895&curPageLogUid=Q8atvSIm0saj&utparam-url=scene%3Asearch%7Cquery_from%3A%7Cx_object_id%3A1005009424830295%7C_p_origin_prod%3A

Or you can buy the dub 150/155mm crankset, like this one:

https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005008784186357.html?pdp_npi=4%40dis%21USD%21US+%24318.31%21US+%24155.97%21%21%21318.31%21155.97%21%4021030f8317856858438473240e0e29%2112000046652315633%21sh%21AR%21185111422%21X&spm=a2g0o.store_pc_allItems_or_groupList.new_all_items_2007523583989.1005008784186357&gatewayAdapt=glo2esp

And then buy the Red 2x chainrings:
https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005007981552543.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.1.6fb112dbnxnvqG&algo_pvid=aa38ceb3-1449-46a5-a133-c27d59a49ec0&algo_exp_id=aa38ceb3-1449-46a5-a133-c27d59a49ec0-0&pdp_ext_f=%7B%22order%22%3A%22204%22%2C%22eval%22%3A%221%22%2C%22fromPage%22%3A%22search%22%7D&pdp_npi=6%40dis%21USD%21207.38%21163.83%21%21%211391.84%211099.55%21%4021032c8d17856862854202694e0d52%2112000058636204198%21sea%21AR%21185111422%21X%211%210%21n_tag%3A-29919%3Bd%3A9ba602fd%3Bm03_new_user%3A-29895&curPageLogUid=Y7RXHD7KrBJM&utparam-url=scene%3Asearch%7Cquery_from%3A%7Cx_object_id%3A1005007981552543%7C_p_origin_prod%3A&tblci=GiATyNuZ97LzOk3RuLsw9eQGuPfXmc2EjXkVosAfqTlLCSDA9m4or8CawNHT-JwTMOTOPQ

Or if you want to go all Aliexpress way, you would need to buy the cranks, the chainrings and then an 8bolt adapter to the chairings. But I think it´s not cheaper, not better and needs more work and investigation.

Hope this helps

I'm getting good results with firmware 1.08. There's a difference with the alerting compared to most other radars. It'll switch an orange alert to red for almost every detection when the threat is within 30m or so - making it very chirpy.

Well I use it in silence mode, so I only see the line. But with firmware 1.07 when a car was approaching, you would see the line yellow yellow yellow, then you see the car right passing you, and after that it would turn red. "Thank you for nothing SRMini".
I agree that now red line is a bit "anxious", but that depends on the speed of the car. I prefer this, than the other.
Btw, I´m getting 4 hours of battery with radar in "cascade mode", and smart brake light warning "medium" on.

Well after the update, everything is working fine again!
So I guess more than an upgrade, was a downgrade to it´s original state.
I did 200km in 2 rides and now it is reliable again. No false positives or negatives, and now the green/yellow/red line is working great again

Well today my West-biking 3d carbon saddle snapped. I went home safely but when I realised, my winter pants were all broken near that sharp edge :(
I´ve been using it for less than a year, and I only use the road bike on weekends, so it has little use on it.
Pretty dissapointed.

13
My SRmin was working flawless when I bought it, but then it was updated to 1.07 firmware and readings were all over the place. A lot of false positives and negatives. It was useless as a radar, only as a smart light.
I updated to 1.08 but didn´t try it yet. Hope it made it work good again.
I´ll see tomorrow

I bought the black cyclone wheelset.
Came very well packed, with 2 30gr tpu and spare spokes.
Weight: 1258 with the tubeless tape.
I mounted a gp5000 32mm with the tpu tubes that came with the wheels.
Today I did a 100km first ride. They feel much more responsive than my Velobuild wavy wheels (I saved almost 500grs with the Kore).
But it was a group easy ride so I didn´t sprint or anything simmilar.
I´m very satisfied. I don´t think you can get anything better at this price point.

I´m using a 2x Pass Quest chainring with flattop chain and 12s Force cassette 10-33 (originals), but with Wheeltop front and rear derailleurs.
I´ve installed it like your picture, with a Zrace Unchained crankset with powermeter and the spider adapter.
I´ve no issues neither with the front or rear shifting.
