Great service from Velobuild on this. Offered me compensation or replacement. Went with the replacement as I felt I wouldn’t have confidence braking knowing there is resin missing on the brake mount.

Replacement just arrived and looks good.
About the missing grommet for the fork brake cable exit, what did you do? Have you found one that fits or is it clean to leave it without?

Order shipped this morning, I'm curious to see the paint job in person... I had a bright pink similar to VanRysel helmets in mind but from the picture Chris sent me it looks more red than anything else. I'm liking the look anyways, I will probably just have to switch to a black bartape instead of the pink one I was planning on using  ;D
I will build it with Ltwoo er9 groupset, Magene P515 cranks/chainrings and my already owned Ican Aero50 wheels, hoping not to have too many difficulties since it's going to be a first build for me!

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: TanTan TT-X38 Build

The bike has now 500 km, I find it very comfortable with the 30mm tires. I left a couple of extra spacers, at least one will be removed.
The final weight is around 7.4 kg without pedals.

Next upgrade the wheels, at least 50mm  ;)

Where did you get the decals?! If this is the same bike that was posted on bdc-mag forum that means I might be able to source them as well  ;)

Still nothing from the Ali Magene store... I am now certain that they allowed far more orders than they could supply, the shipping date went from "a few days" to "may 28" to "june 02" to "ghosted" and the chatbot now doesnt even try to answer...
Meanwhile they updated the "additional payment" part of the order (for prepaid duty) in order not to lose it when the due date was near.
I wrote to Magene via email as well but they don't seem too receptive about it.
Maybe I'm being left on read because I used discounts and coupons and gave them less money than others, maybe I pressed them too much by asking for updates, but one thing for sure is that their support is nonexistent at best.
I will wait another few days to see what happens and then I will open a dispute to get my money back and look for other options.
It's a shame because I've only heard great things about their products.

Can anyone tell me what is the native disc size for the front and rear? Both 160, 160f/140r, or both 140? Or else, would I need an adapter to mount 160 both front and rear?

I had mine made with no logos at all and just stuck some “S-Works” decals on it — much to the disgust of a few other forum users  ;D

Might be a little bit OT and I don't want to sound confrontational, but could you explain to me the allure of putting these decals on your frame? I truly struggle to understand if it is to look cool or to pretend to have the real deal or something else entirely. I personally am more than ok with buying a frame that takes inspiration from others as long as it is generic looking enough (not Dogma or SL8 or Madone for example, but a Factor or an SL7 or other less conspicuous frames might look the same as dozens others) and personalize it with my own decals, but when the frame is one of a kind I would either get the real one or else I would feel like I'm just trying to impress, especially with such high priced originals.
Again, not to judge but I am truly curious to understand the thought process behind it!

On the topic itself, I feel like I dodged a giant bullet after considering both the X65 and X67 and pulling the plug after some dubious responses from Tantan about production, waiting time, measures and such.

I ordered it last wednesday from the Ali Magene official store as I had a hefty discount (268€ with prepaid duty) but still no shipping confirmation... Today I asked on their chat and they told me that due to high order volumes, stock is insufficient and there might be delays, and my messages only reached their AI chatbot.
I truly hope that they actually have it in stock and will send it out before the automatic refund of Ali kicks in, it would really bug me to have to rethink my budget and re-buy it at a higher price...

Pretty sure Troy wrote that the colour scheme is called ass crack bandit.
Sure, but is it a red ass crack, a pink ass crack, or is it another shade than these two?

Build is pretty much done. Not too many new parts as everything has been moved over from my VB-R-177 build.

Haven't had a chance to take it out for a long spin but general impressions so far based on a short coffee ride:

- Stiffer than the 168 and as stiff as the 177 but more aero (not sure I noticed the more aero part haha)
- Zero offset seat tube is really going to help my personal fit
- Saddle clamping system worked really well and easy to adjust. Extra fittings for carbon rail saddles was great to have included.
- Mavic Speed release style axles are going to take a little getting used to. May need a dedicated axle for the trainer to make things easier to take on and off.
- Overall no issues with the build, ended up drilling a hole in the bottom of the BB area to drain water. Also had to drill out the metal FD cable stop to fit Di2 wire
- New HB-010 integrated bars that came with the frame feel much stiffer than the original ones I had with the wedge tightening system instead of standard two bolt

Just needs some bar tape and maybe some decals and should be ready.

Hi Hazzer, did you paint it with Velobuild? And do you by any chance still have the color scheme (pantone or whatever) for it? I am also trying to come up with a similar color scheme, albeit adding some white here and there, and it would be super helpful to get an idea about what these colors look on the bike with respect to the catalogue  ;D

Has anyone built the 268 with separated stem/handlebar combo? If so, what combo have you chosen? I am looking into the 268 but the integrated doesn't seem to have a 110 stem for the 400 width, so I looked for the combo, but even then I have some concerns about the flare... The "default" model doesn't seem to have any while Chris suggested the hb028 which in contrast has a 68mm difference from 400 on the shifters to 468 below, which might be a bit too much...

They actually hide some models.
It'clearly reported on the web site
To see every model available you need to create an account
Nope, I created it to see what they were hiding and still kept denying me access to these frames while only presenting the same ones everyone can see...

Not quite sure what you mean by external and internal button, but here's a photo of the new "v3" eR9 shifter from a set that I just got. Apologies for the cling film.
This answers exactly my question, ty. I meant that the shifting button closer to the lever is taller than the other one, while in the first version they were level at the top.

Dolan Ares, Ciocc Blade, Avec Sythe and Pearson Shift all appear the same frame, with a couple with a slightly different chainstay curve and different forks. If i recall correctly the geometry is the same and it should be a Workswell 396?

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Camp Bikes

I asked via instagram and was redirected to whatsapp.
They can ship to Europe but he told me "duty is higher", so I guess it would be taken into consideration.
Anyways, an Ace II frameset price is $480.00 ( including frame , fork , seatpost , handlerbar , headset , F/R axle ), and the and ace 2 ut (ultegra di2) export price is $1850.00 exw, so I think they don't cover the additional costs...
I put here the geometries he sent me as well

On the erx the usb-c port is on FD. I haven't seen anywhere er9 new version. Where did you collect that info?
I corrected it, knew it was in front but wrote R by mistake! Question stands
