Did anyone replace the bolts and axles on their X68?

as some of my bolt start to rust (especially fork clamp) I was thinking about replacing at least some. Can I use the genuine bolts?

Yup, I have replaced all of them on stem. They were heaviliy rusty after very short time. I bought new set of screws on TI-Parts.

Maybe old info, but anyway. I just got reply for "New X68" :

The mold for the new version of the TT-X68 frame is still being manufactured.
We need to wait for the sample frame to pass the test before we can start producing the frame and start selling it.
It is expected to be September-October.

We only have 3D pictures and no pictures of the actual frame yet.

TT-X68 new will be in sizes: 49/52/54/56/58/61cm (it is not sure whether the mold will be opened for all frame sizes now)

The quality and functionality of a frame is not so much its shape as the materials used and the workmanship, and there's a difference of day and night between the SL8 and the X68. If many consider (as I've read in this forum) these two frames remotely comparable, it's only because they use the bike for amateur purposes (like me).

Sorry, but I also need to comment this post...
We will all NEVER know what exact performance you can get out of SL8 and X68. It can simply be due to personal oppinion / feeling (which is not relevant) OR because we do not know X68 numbers OR we are simply shit riders that can't even use full potential of bikes.

I would also like to hear your arguments comparing X68 to SL8 as day and night. In what ? how do you back this comparisson up with some non-personal facts?
If we blindfold you, and put you on X68 with S-works stickers...are you sure you would reckognize which bike is it? =)

So, there are many of us that can absolutelly agree that X68 frame (700 USD) and SL8 (4-5K€) is more than comparable with ride feel.

just small reminder: keep in mind that many Varia holder (3D prints) will crack or brake after some time, unless they include some glass fibers.
3D itself does not stand so well all the vibrations. And saving 20€ against loosing Varia radar is not something to miss=)

What model of water bottle cage did you install? Do you have a link?

Also bottle cage is bought at Seraph, they also offer it. It costs 8-9 USD.

So it’s possible to order a frame + groupset? Or are you referring to complete bikes?

Hi. I ordered both bikes with seperate groupset. And I assemblied bike on my own.
Also price is much cheaper than in EU =) Any yes, genuine Shimano equipment.

Naiboo, keep in mind that you can always extend position (seat back, longer stem)  on 54, whereas on 56 (if it's too big) you are in difficult position.
The seatpost  on X68 has 2cm offset. First check this on your existing bike. Then try to catch same reach with stem length.

example: I had size 56 SL5 with 0 offset + 10cm stem. The saddle was in the middle of rails.
              I took size 56 X68 with 9cm stem and seat is moved maximum to the front. And this positions is exactly the same as on SL5. So I have no margin anymore, but it fits me perfect. 

I suggest you to take 54 and adjust stem length and move the saddle accordingly.
