I see you used some wrap foil? Is it ready for hygge or do you cut everything by yourself?

because I had a problem with the chain and rear dropout, so I stuck a thick film from Aliexpress there.

And also once my big 105 Shimano star caught a stone, broke and the chain fell on the frame, and tore a little in the area of the bottom bracket, so I stuck random pieces of film there too

the price has increased but with coupons it still goes down
still a little more expensive than it was
With delivery and a discount coupon, it came to 714 dollars, which is about 615 euros (the exchange rate is very volatile, so approximately)

Is this not the same handlebar? You can get it for about 50usd with coupons I guess. And you don't have the ugly graphics
I just found this on AliExpress:
US $149.35 | elitaone SL8 Road Carbon Handlebar Bent Bar Internal Cable Routing Bicycle Handlebar 28.6mm Diameter with Spacer
https://a.aliexpress.com/_Ex6BD6i

yeah, it looks like its the same

Did you see that Hygge raised the prices on their website?
The frame is now $850 instead of $600. I also see that the new aero handlebars are sold separately for $199. Maybe they raised the frame prices because of the new handlebars?

I was going to recommend it to my friend who is just planning to build it, but now with delivery it will be $950, and here it might make sense to look at Winspace or other brands?

wow, I don't have that. My handlebar moves freely and there is no such backlash as in your video

I also want to add that the new steering wheel no longer comes with a carbon light/computer mount, but with a metal one, whether it's some kind of alloy, etc, I'm not sure. But it looks much better and more reliable than the previous one.

Finally got my frame. And also a new aero handlebar. The quality was very pleasantly surprising.
I recorded a short video and posted it here
https://www.reddit.com/r/hyggebikes/comments/1m8zo7l/finally_got_my_frame_and_also_a_surprise_a_new/

and took it to my mechanic for assembly. If everything goes ok, tomorrow evening I will finally do a test ride

You can't just remove it, it's under clear coating.

I will try and will post update here in 1-2 weeks

Hey, got my hygge model s frame today and was very surprised about the handlebar, they sent me a different model. It's their new aerone model. Actually I like the design and clean appearance of the previous one much more. Don't know if I'll be happy with the new version...
What do you guys think about it?new version is definitely lighter.

Wow, looks really nice
They sent my frame 7 days ago, so I hope I will receive the new one too
It looks really nice (except the orange sticker, I hope I can remove it if it's not painting directly on handlebar's body)

Disappointing Communication from Hygge After Ordering My Frame

Hey folks,
I wanted to share my experience with Hygge so far.

I placed my order for a Model S frameset (size S, white color) on July 3rd. Nothing custom, just a standard configuration.
We discussed frame and handlebar sizes, and everything seemed great and they told me the order would be shipped in 2–3 days, and delivery to Europe usually takes 15–20 days.

For the first few days, communication was smooth. I asked a few follow-up questions, and they replied promptly.

However, on July 7th, I reached out again via their website chat to ask for a status update. They told me the order had not been shipped yet, but would be sent out in 2 days (on the 9th).

So I waited.

On the evening of July 9th, I checked in again just to confirm shipment, but since then, complete silence.
No replies via website chat, no answer on WhatsApp (though I can see my message was delivered), and no response on Instagram, where they are actively posting stories and content.

To be clear: I wouldn’t be following up this much if they hadn’t given me specific shipment dates themselves. If they had just said “it might take 10 days to ship,” I’d be totally fine with that. But being told one thing and then being ghosted feels… odd.

I really like their bikes, and I'm still excited about the build, but their post-purchase communication has left a bad impression.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with them?

Would love to hear your thoughts

I also added it here in the subreddit for better visibility:
https://www.reddit.com/r/hyggebikes/comments/1lzhvyf/disappointing_communication_from_hygge_after/

So, yesterday they sent me the tracking number. Finally, because I was already very worried. When I receive the frame here (Spain), I will definitely write here an update
