Note that that is a functional list - it has nothing to do with aerodynamics.  Most people are buying wheels for aero gains, but putting a modern wider road tire on a narrow wheelset just because it mounts OK isn't really following what they were setting out to do.

Does anyone have detailed pictures or a full kit to judge how much you can shove in the storage?

 On mine I have the hard / dense tools, like a foldable set of hex ends, CO2, inflator, etc. at the bottom of the tube.  Right under the cover I have an inner tube wrapped in protective plastic, and above that I have more delicate things like cheater glasses.  Still not full.  It is less space than my downtube storage on the Diverge, but then roadbike tubes are smaller than gravel bike tubes.

In my opinion, some of you are confusing brand fascination with what is actually happening. Extending a shipping lead time from one month to three or four has absolutely nothing to do with buying a 'premium' or 'custom' product. It’s a clear sign that something went wrong. It looks like LightCarbon (LC) simply decided to prioritize larger orders without bothering to inform individual customers who had already paid.

​What’s even worse is the inconsistency. On one hand, people point to the custom paint as an excuse, but on the other, LC claims the delay is due to a handlebar shortage. If a simple handlebar size is holding up an entire frame delivery for months, it makes LC look even more disorganized. How many orders do you have to overbook to turn a 4-week estimate into 16 weeks?

​As others have mentioned, the lack of proactive communication is incredibly frustrating. You don't get any info unless you go looking for it. At the same time, there is no option to cancel the order or receive a discount for the massive delay.

​At the end of the day, 'great quality' or 'custom paint' means nothing to me if I can't actually ride the bike. I am about to leave for a two-month trip on my old bike. As things stand, I won't see the LC frame until July at the earliest, even if they were to ship it tomorrow. This isn't a premium experience—it's a logistics failure.

I was told during my ordering that the handlebar I chose would add a couple of months, so I chose a different size handlebar.  That's really not an issue to get mad over if it isn't a very common size of handlebar.  And it isn't an issue to get mad at if you're a late-comer to the ordering when these frames - and this manufacturer - is becoming really popular.  You had the chance to not wait as long by ordering in the middle of 2025, but you didn't.  If you waited until the youtubers all proved to you that LC is making great stuff, well, you and thousands of others now want something that the rest of us felt would be a great addition earlier on.

Stop pouting and crying.  It works the same when ordering a car or truck that all of a sudden took off in popularity.

Finished building mine, but I absolutely cannot get the rear caliper aligned at all. Have tried another wheel that works in another bike without any issues so I don't think it's a rotor issue. I am worried it's a brake facing issue since I can see the caliper start to tilt as I tighten the bolts down... Anyone else run into this problem?

Yes.  Just built mine last week, front and rear brake bosses did the same thing in torquing the caliper to a weird angle.  Had to analyze the angle(s) it was setting the caliper wrong, and sanding them flat according based on how each was angled.  It takes mounting the caliper, looking, unmounting, sanding, mounting, looking, unmounting, sanding at least twice for each.  Make sure whatever you use as a sandpaper backing block is dead flat with no flex, like a small piece of glass.

After experiencing problems with the storage compartment lid—it rattled and I even lost it once with a water bottle attached—Wendy sent me a new, improved lid free of charge within a week. This one doesn't rattle, fits much better, and the lever stays securely locked in the "locked" position. For me, it's a perfect solution with quick implementation. Great job on excellent service!

Any chance you could send us a picture of what is different between the old and the new?  My bike was made in October of 2025, but I only got it together last week.  So far, no rattles, but that's only 110 miles ridden.

Inner width 23mm, should fit 30C-45C, I will likely run 32mm most of the time but nice to get the extra width. Not seen anyone really discuss them here, perhaps known under a different name? Option for Sapim spokes which I'll upgrade to if I go for it

I have inner-width 25mm rims, and the GP 5000's are measuring over 34.65mm wide when on them.

I got my LCR018 in early December, but only had it built up last week.  The bike is pretty sweet. 

Thank you to whomever recommended a better set of headset bearings from Amazon - I bought those and installed those instead.  They were noticeably better than the ones Light Carbon put into the kit, but it was nice to have the LC ones just to make sure I ended up buying the correct size.

I went with Shimano 12 speed, cable-actuated 105. 

I'm 5'10", 56 fits me nicely.  I have a 90 stem, 38mm wide bars.

I want nothing to do with UCI rules - none of them apply to safety save for perhaps the rule that bikes can't weigh less than a certain weight.
