Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Replica Factor Ostro VAM
« on: November 06, 2025, 01:20:56 PM »@robinocoHey - Yeah I do have a little previous with the ZTTO cassettes - This Ultimate one is better than some of the cheaper models. They use Alu for some of the bigger sprockets whereas the Ultimate is milled completely from steel. It probably won't last as well as Dura Ace, but is lighter AND costs 1/4 what they do. The Pass Quest rings are good too. I like to keep my drivetrain clean & use wax, which helps with the longevity too.
Do you have previous experience on the longevity and performance of the ZTTO items and the chainrings?
Also how easy or difficult was it to put on the OSPW?
Fitting the OSPW was a doddle - done in a couple of minutes. I read someone used one of these & the bolt through one of the pulleys came out during a ride not long after installation, so I put thread lock on the bolts before installation, just to make sure the same doesn't happen to me.
