I have build my SPcycle R088 54cm with Kocevlo sl handlebars 38 cm, Kocevlo stem 100 mm, Ltwoo ER7 groupset, Elite ENT wheels and continental 5000 tyres. Have done about 1.700 km and I absolutely love the ride. I can do 100 km rides without any negatives. Super happy. 8) 8)
I am 72 years, 177cm lenght....

May I ask which Kocevlo stem and handlebar model you purchased?
Thanks

Kocevlo SL handlebar 38 cm, and Kocevlo carbon stem 100 mm

Hi, I'm considering a build based on this frame, how did you manage your complete build with just 1500 euros? I wanna make it supercheap yet reliable, so I'm keen to go for a 105 mechanic sourced on aliexpress for about 300 euros. Weels elite ent or, may be better, Aeroraptor whch are really goodlooking either.
Any advise on sourcing and cost cutting is well accepted
I have spent quite some time on AliE searching and waiting for good offers. I bought all my gear on the Black Friday sale. R088 frame, ER7 groupset, elite ENT 2.0 Wheels, Kocevlo stem and handlebar, Riro crank set and the other small stuff. AliE regularly has good offers but you should take your time and wait for the moment.

That' pretty much what's going on. This is why I stopped watching YT bike content on Chinese components. It's either scaremongering or product shilling. Anyways, one year in with my R088. Still riding just fine. No issues to speak of. I really like the 0° offset seat post option. It's really made the bike even more enjoyable for me to ride, especially for climbing with a more forward seat position.

I have finished my 54 cm build (177cm height)) and it fits like a glove. I have had none of the issues mentioned in this thread. Build went smooth and easy. I have chosen for a separate stem and handlebar from Kocevlo as I was not sure an integrated cockpit would suit me. Added Elite wheels ENT 2.0 en an ER7 electronic groupset. I have done a few hundred km now as I am in the winter season, but very very pleased with the bike.. None of the flex GCN showed.. Spent less than € 1.500 on the whole build...

Although interesting to watch YT content on Chinese bike stuff, you should take it with a pinch of salt

Finished my build, R088 size 54 (177cm). Elite ENT 2.0 wheels, Ltwoo RX 7 groupset. None of the issues mentioned, No flex in the front But i used a Kocevlo lightweight handle bar and stem so I could finetune, instead of an integrated cockpit. Riding on Continental Grandprix (30 mm) and I absolutly love the ride.
Did spent € 1400 on the complete bike (Ryet saddle and Riro 706 crankset). 8) 8)

Can anyone explain to me the difference between ER 9 and ER7 version 3? I do understand that the ERX version is the carbon one....

When I was trying to figure out the ER9 battery holder in the seat post I explored the option of not putting on the battery sheath. I discovered there was no need to remove the outer sheath since the battery holder fits snuggly in the seat post. You just need buoyant ribbon string tied to the battery if you ever need to pull it out. Without the sheath, there's a risk of damaging the circuitry.

Also I used the mechanical FD hole to route the ER9 FD cable instead. This was easier for me as opposed to trying to get the cable behind the FD hanger.  :D

I am currently building my 54 cm R088 with the ER7 groupset. I did place the battery holder in the seat post and it fits nicely (with a ribbon to pull it out agian)
I probably will have to cut some cm of the seatpost in a later stage to get the perfect fit. I did use the the hole behind the the FD hanger as the mechanical hole is too small and I did not want to drill it out. It fits nicely.
Any suggestions on how to close/lock the mechanical hole for the FD?

Planning to build my bike with a Ltwoo ER7 groupset and Elite ENT 2.0 wheels. They were all on massive discounts at Black Friday sales.

My R088 arrived yesterday and it was both beautifully wrapped and finished. I love the clear gloss over raw carbon finish, and I love knowing I saved weight with this  :)

I have a slight concern that my 54cm actually has a 48cm seat tube. Measured BB centre to top. I did study the frame geometry before buying, mainly to make sure the Reach was correct, and it hadn't registered that the seat tube ends up a long way short of what would be thought traditional.

Has anyone had any issues with this? Sizing or flex etc? I measured 3 of my other road bikes and in all other respects the other dimension are coming up just as I'd expect. I thought I'd be sent the wrong size originally but I'm pretty sure I can make this work! I'll just be showing even more seat post than normal, and I normally show a lot! 200mm etc ???

I have ordered r088 on November 29th, it is currently on its way to me. Very excited to receive it. Have ordered a 54 size for 1777 cm length. Now I am riding a 56 frame that feels a bit big for me. they have told me that it has SPcycle loge on it.

Hi Jonathan,
Absolutely my build!
What tyres do you run?

Ordered all the components on Nov 28. Now waiting for the stuff to arrive...
