Loving the bike so far, but the downtube compartment lid (v2?) fell off today and left a deep gash in the paint.  >:( >:(

How many months did most of the people here to wait upon invoice payment to receive images from LC on their frames prior to shipping? Thanks

Make sure you actually request QC images, for the record.

Here are the results of my unscientific poll.

Jim from LightCarbon, I implore you to get involved here if you can. I will be messaging Wendy with this information in the coming days.

Here is the latest exchange with Wendy and my reply after I collected some poll responses

Following up on this, LightCarbon is refusing to take responsibility saying I needed to request QC photos prior to shipment. I would like to take a poll for those who have had their frames shipped to understand if this was truly my mistake or Wendy's.

If your frame has been shipped, could you take a moment to fill out this quick survey? https://forms.gle/Ks7sdXNwURkiijsT8

Thank you! :)

Hot tip: Request QC photos prior to shipping. I was notified that my frame was shipped to me and had to ask for QC photos, which were supplied promptly but without any ability to address issues since the frame was already on its way to me. In my case, they didn't match the requested paint job to the specifications we discussed quite thoroughly over email and was on the painting diagram re: angles of paint lines. See below forks.

Along with an apology and an offer for $20 USD off a future order, I was told by Wendy that: "Indeed some customers required photos before shipping when place the order, but some didn't. Because you did not make that requirement, so I didn't send."

I had assumed that QC photos would precede shipping, but such is life.

In my opinion they should paint another fork for you, ship it at their cost, and let you use and keep the first fork so you don't have to wait to use the frame. If it was me, I'd propose the solution to them and not wait for them to propose one. I believe it's always in my interest to formulate an expectation and communicate it clearly.

I sent Wendy an email this morning outlining things and proposing this solution. Will update on outcome.

This is a great idea I hadn't thought of. Thank you for the suggestion.

I'm a squeaky wheel. I'd be squeaking loudly. It's in LC's interest to always send QC photos prior to shipping, not just for the customer's sake but their own. They should require customer sign-off before shipping. I'd be making a real stink about this.

Since someone from LC follows this conversation, as a potential but uncommitted customer, I'm watching this closely to see of LC steps up and makes this right...or doesn't. It matters to me.

I'm also following what happens with the frame with the damaged headset bearing cup.

I feel similarly, but I'm just unsure of what making things right looks like in this circumstance. Thoughts?

Good feedback. A real shame that they didn't pay attention to the angles. Is this the british racing green color? They're making one for me atm with fade to carbon gloss. Can't wait to see the result (before they're shipping!  ::).

Thanks! Yeah, it's even more frustrating given I spent more than a few email exchanges ensuring clarity on this subject (see below):

And, this is indeed the British Racing Green YS7935 with accents of YS7933. I'm very happy with the colours themselves.

It is a little longer but I did not remember the exact length. I use this one : https://a.aliexpress.com/_EIZUV7i

Why did you opt to get an aftermarket one and not use the one supplied, may I ask?

Is anyone in here a bit handy with photoshop or something to 'design' this? I tried with chatgpt, but I'm probably too stupid for this as I get something completely different every time  ::)

Try Gemini. It's MUCH better at this task for some reason.

No, the frame is designed for 140mm discs at the rear, and an adapter is needed for 160mm Disc 😬

This is helpful information, I had incorrectly ordered 2x 160 mm rotors. Thank you!

The headset bearings are 52x40x7 & 45° inside and 45° outside.

Do you happen to have a link for the correct ones from Enduro handy? Thank you!
