Hi everyone!
Does anyone know if this Decathlon MTB Team frame is OEM?

I've checked over 25 frames, and this one has the best geometry for my XCM/marathon style. Is it available from a Chinese factory?

Thanks!

It almost looks like the Light Carbon LCSF980 (also used by the Trinx MTB team) but I think there are some small differences here and there

Also similar to the Hongfu FM358 (Lux Trail copy) but not identical either

Yes, the rear shock looks very similar to the Hongfu FM358, doesn't it? The front part, around the head tube, seems a little different from the Hongfu and more like the Lightcarbon. What do you think?

Hi everyone! Does anyone recognize this frame? It's an unreleased prototype from the Brazilian brand Audax. Since they typically use Chinese OEM (open mold) frames, I'm trying to find the original manufacturer. An athlete is already racing with it, but it hasn't been officially launched yet. Any ideas?

Lately I build the set for MTB marathons based on Carbonbeam rims (~265g 30mm internal), Goldix M160SL hubs and ALPINE HL 300mm spokes. It is 1090g, so for my 72-74kg is enough. I was racing them the last season and they looks petty straight.

Thanks for the info!

I'm looking for a similar build (below 1100g). May I know the total costs?
My project with Carbon RIM + Goldix M160SL + Pillar Spokes, is around $600 + shipping. It's a wheel from Easedon Wheelstore in AliExpress. (1050 - 1080g)

This is my favorite lightweight carbon rim from Aliexpress.   It is a narrower rim than you are looking for.  I believe that finding a wider 240 gram rim could be difficult to find.

Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, that's exactly my concern — going wider while staying around 240g seems very hard. I'll take a look anyway. Thanks

There is a company called Porte that make some 240-280g rims. They are not Chinese but I Italian. Their prices are really good though and they are close to the nextie price.

Thanks for the tip!

I didn't know Porte — interesting that they're Italian and still close to Nextie in price. I'll check their rims

The more expensive would be Nextie Alpha 36S (235/245g?) or Omega 36U (260/280g) and LightBicycle Helios-XC930. I assume you aware of the later since you likely copied the specs from it. At 90kg I've been happy with my 260g Omega 36Us that don't have access holes called "tubeless-Ready". Took a bit longer to build but nice that I don't need to deal with tape. Other manufactures can likely make "tubless-ready" wheels depending on the mold used.

You're right — I was already aware of the Helios-XC930, and yes, the specs are very similar. I'll also take a closer look at the Alpha 36S vs Omega options. Appreciate the detailed insight!

I have a set of Serenade wheels with the TME922 rims. They are pretty dang light at 280 grams.    https://serenadebikes.net/29er-mtb-carbon-rims-c74824/

They offer it in a 1000ish gram wheelset too.https://serenadebikes.net/carbon-spokes-29er-mountain-bike-wheelset-30mm-inner-22mm-depth-xc-mtb-carbon-rims-p6889720.html

I've only got a couple hundred XC miles on them, but they seem pretty good so far.

Thanks for sharing your experience!

280g is still very light, especially for a 29er MTB rim, and good to hear they've been holding up well for XC use.

The full wheelset option is also interesting — I'll take a closer look! Good price and extremely good weight. I'll check about maximum cyclist weight.

I've laced 28" wheel sets with timetec rims and carbonal rims both are good quality for the price IMHO.
240g for a 29er with 30mm outer is pretty light, drop them an e-mail if you don't find it at the web shop, they should be able to do it.
I've asked for rims with 160kg max load for a tandem and they at least can ad carbon fiber to bee frims up.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion!

I've heard good things about both Timetec and Carbonal, especially considering the price/quality ratio.

Hey, i'm looking for carbon rim for MTB 29er, 35.6mm ext | 30mm int | 22mm - 240g

Does anyone know some good factory?

Hey any update about this brand frame? I would love to discover more about it. It looks interesting

Serenade wheels is cooking something sub 1000g. Send them DM.

Thanks! Never heard of this company before. I already sent a Dm in whatsapp. Let's discover what they have!

Probably Light Bicycle helios XC930 or Nextie Alpha 36S or Omega 36U. Both will sell you full wheels with carbon spokes, nextie, or berd spokes, LB, to get you under the 1000g. I like my set of Nextie 260g 36U rims just haven't ridden them enough to speak to durability.

Thanks a lot! I'll definitely check out those models. I've heard about Light Bicycle before, but Nextie is totally new to me.
260g rims sound crazy light 😳

Hi! Looking for XC/XCM wheelsets under 1000g like the Roval Control SL WC (~998g).

Any reliable Chinese options? Carbon spokes OK. Real-world weights and feedback appreciated. Thanks!
