If you atual bike is good you want the numbers bellow to be similiar :

Reach
Stack
Seat Angle
Head Angle

Just finished my first build and my first ride of 85 km.

Frame: Lightcarbon LCR018-D 56 cm
Groupset: Shimano 105 Di2 52/36 11-36T 165mm
Wheel set: Elitewheels Edge 3.0 52mm
Saddle: Ryet 3D Carbon
Seat Post with zero setback

8,1 kg (with with pedals, computer mount, bottle cage, handlebar tape)

Unfortunately, the saddle is still causing problems. The seatpost stays in place after I greased the sliding surfaces of the clamp and the bolt, but the saddle tilts under load.
I’ve already tightened the clamp quite firmly, but I was careful because of the carbon struts (recommended torque: max. 5 Nm). Even so, the saddle tipped over when I hit a pothole. I haven’t used carbon paste yet.
What would you recommend I do next?
  • Tighten the bolts even more? (Unfortunately, a torque wrench won’t fit due to the design.)
  • Try carbon paste?
Do you have any tips?

Had the same problem, after confirmation with LC (whatsapp message from wendy dat Engineer Team says i can torque to 10NM), i had more carbon paste and now torque to 9/10NM, fixed the problem .

You buy the bike you want,

After compare geometrys LCR018 in 56 is more near your atual bike, if you feel good position wise on the Triban my opinion  is "i would go for a 56".

For me was the opposite, i was on a bigger frame 56 (3t Strada ) and i felt too stretch needed to have the sadle too far foward etc... , so i went with 54.

I received mine already, came in this monday. Way beter secured handle than the V1 that is now on my bike.

Hey mate

I may be mistake but there is a 3º Version of the door, i´m waiting to get to mine, at my door end of this month (sended for free after complain the door ratles and open when riding in cobles even after tight the screw), can you show a photo of the door you received.
Cause the new door (v3), the Lock system  suppose to open upwards and close downwards so gravite allways in favor to close.

Regards

did she sent free of charge (transportation included)?

Hi Lads

I have the  V2 i never had the door fall off, but i do check before every run with the botle if it radles, the only time it did i tight the inside "lock" bolt.
One other thing is i have my bag full enought dat i can insert without being too mutch of effort and i dont slide it up on the tube, i just let the bag on the door to create a light "push" on the door.

So in 10 hours of riding it, never had "ratles" sounds  or door jump off

Thanks. That's disappointing to hear. This issue could be a deal-breaker for me. I pretty much need to know that LC is going to modify the design to address this before I'd place an order. I'm not excited about buying a new frame with a proprietary seatpost where there's a significant likelihood that I'd need hack-or-bodge the installation to make it functional. They fixed the storage cover. They need to fix this. Jim's been silent here for quite a while.

I'm hoping that the TraceVelo build encounters this issue in order to put more pressure on LC to correct the problem.

The Slipage is "common" problem in many bike manufacters west and east, for exemple 3t strada had the same problem even on newer models (not to say its acceptable) as mention before on the forum you can torque "if needed" to 10nm.
On the clamp it self say 6-8nm on the guide paper say 8-10nm, i talked to LC (Wendy) cause i had slip seatpost at 8nm torque with some carbon paste, and she confirmed with enginear staff if needed you can torque to 10 nm, i put more carbon paste and 10nm torque and  no more problems at the seatpost (not even over pot holes).

Note: no platics used

Anyway i recommed any one with this problem to confirm 1º with their contact at LC.

Check this morning, my clamp was well position from factory, i have quite good piece of carbon paste on the seat post and torqued to 10nm, no plays no creakings all good.
Did 50 mim on the roller and good.

Well in my ride i had seatpost slip, i had carbon paste and tight to 8nm (was ok for most off the ride), in the clamp it says 6-8nm torque, but on the manual says 8/10nm.
I asked LC  (Wendy) and she confirmed with LC Engineer,  you can torque to 10nm if needed (case of slip seatpost)
There is another post in this forum where someone asked Jim and had the same response.

Now i  added more carbon paste and have torque to 10nm, all good and its seems to have fixed the problem.

Later will check the Clamp

A last question to the people from EU that has bought the frame (I live in Spain). LC says that in the shipping costs are included all taxes (they call it Duty Free shipping). It is true or do you have payed some additional fees?

Thank you!

I Live in Portugal

Frame/Handlebar/seat post:    US$649
T47 bottom bracket:       US$10
Painting Cost:                        US$120
Shipping cost   Shipping to Portugal by DFS express (Duty free shipping)            US$157
Payment charge   PayPal handling fee (4.5%)            US$42
Total:   Final amount should be paid            US$978

I payed 978USD deliver to the door, no extra taxes or customs (cause its all-ready included on the price).

First Impressions – LCR018

Just like another rider who owns the same frame, I’ll use the exact same word to describe it:

“SMOOTH”

Today I did 100 km (around 1000 m of elevation gain) and the overall feeling was simply amazing.

What a geometry.
I felt super comfortable, always in control and with total confidence on the bike.

In my opinion, it’s clearly some kind of all-rounder with an endurance DNA:

Climbs well

Responds well enough in sprints

Has good aerodynamics

Rolls fast on the flats

But its strongest point… is comfort

Properly equipped, it’s more than capable of racing Fondos and long-distance events.
It’s not a pure crit race machine — it doesn’t have that ultra-aggressive, razor-sharp nervous feel — but that’s not what it’s built for.

It’s a bike for riders who want performance with control and real long-ride comfort.

And in that role… it absolutely delivers.

Finally its "complete" MUAHAHAHAHAHA  ;D

Tomorrow gona put the pedals and adjust the sadle on the roller while train some z2 and config the gear to full sync.

Sunday gonna do 100k Testing  8)

This frame uses proprietary thru axles? Are you kidding me?

Like mention before:

The axles are included with the frame and they're quite light. Unfortunately, you won't find a lighter alternative that fits well 😬

you can use other but care about the "Countersunk design for the thru-axle head"

NOTE: dont see it as a problem, i had 4 diferent bikes each one have its own design and never fucked up a axle (only 1/4 of my bikes have a flat head )

Quoted:"- there is no real standard in through axles, manufacturers can pick widths, pitch heights and interfaces."

 Agree

Finally took the bike off the Zwift trainer for the first outdoor ride of the season! The bike feels great, especially with the 35mm Michelin Pro 5 tires—super comfortable. I think it weighs around 7.6 Kg

I have to say, the clamping system on this zero-offset post isn't designed very well. It’s almost impossible to get a 4mm Allen key properly into the bolt. Even with an extension on my torque wrench and a piece of cardboard to protect the seatpost, the bolt head strips easily. That’s exactly what happened on one side. So, now I’m looking for a replacement black hex bolt. Does anyone have a tip for one that fits?

Nice paint Design.

Agree with the seatport clamp bolts, glad my allen keys have torque ball end  for the inicial torque.

Hope mine is finish today
