I have been using them for 6 months now. No problems or complications since installation. I did notice, however, that it was very difficult to get a DUB crankset through. I have never had that with other crank and bottom bracket combinations.

Are you sure it isn't your seatpost causing the noise?

Your story sounds very familiar to my own situation right after building my bike. Small chainring (relatively little power) no noise, and large chainring (more power) noises. I could also swear the sound was coming from the bottom bracket, but it turned out to be the seatpost making the noise.

Perhaps a simple question to rule out whether it is the seatpost: Do you also hear the sound when you apply force to your pedals while standing upright? Or only when you are sitting on the saddle?

In essence, the entire group set will be SRAM Force AXS E1.

The questions I have are related to the bottom bracket spacing. 
The SRAM Force E1 cranksets are DUB Wide. 
The CEMA bottom bracket from LC is a DUB bottom bracket.   

Will this combination work and keep the chainline in proper position? 
Will spacers suffice to keep the chainline aligned?
Do I need to purchase a DUB Wide bottom bracket, and if so, what is suggested?

I also ordered the Cema dub BB from Lightcarbon. In the box is an instruction manual that tells you the amount of spacers needed drive and non drive side for road and wide cranksets. Hope this helps.

Here is my recently built LCR018-D in size 58, raw carbon color with a glossy finish.

The components used for this build are mostly parts I still had lying around or parts taken from my previous bike.
About myself; I’m 1.92 m tall and have an inseam of approximately 91 cm.

Frame: Size 58 with storage compartment
Handlebar: 400x100
Stem: Zero offset
Groupset: SRAM Rival with Force power meter crankset and Goldix 10-28 cassette
Wheelset: DT Swiss ERC 1100, 45 mm deep
Tires: Conti GP5000S TR 30 mm front, 32 mm rear
Saddle: Ryet Carbon
Bottle cages: Tacx
Bottom bracket: CEMA Ceramic DUB
Handlebar tape: BBB FlexRibbon
Pedals: Look Keo 2 Max

Bike weight = 7.8 kg (pedals, mounts, bottle cages etc included)


Building up the frame went very smoothly. No remarks there at all. The only “downside” is that the steerer tube does not sit flush/horizontal with the top of the stem, which means you cannot place spacers above the stem to experiment with the handlebar height in search of my optimal position. I noticed there is a 3D-printed alternative on the forum, so I’ll try that at some point in the future.

First impressions of the ride quality after about 500 km: I don’t live in a mountainous area, so my feedback is mainly based on rides on flat roads, with the occasional short, punchy climb, as well as rides with a lot of crosswind.

I can only be positive about the frame so far. It feels stiff, comfortable, stable, and in my opinion quite responsive/direct. I can’t really compare it to high-end frames, as I’ve never owned one myself. My previous frame was an Orbea Orca, and the difference compared to that frame is significant. In short: nothing but a big smile so far.

As many others have already mentioned here, I also experienced a creaking seatpost on the first ride. The seatpost that was supplied is the latest version, fully wrapped with friction tape all around. I was able to solve the creaking by adding a small amount of electrical tape around the seatpost, together with the necessary amount of carbon assembly paste.

As Fronk mentioned, there is no correct answer to you question. I am the same height and have the same inseam as you but need a 100mm stem  ;)

From Jims answer, painting seems to be the bottleneck right now.
I'm quiet a bit disappointed about this. From what I read here in the forum this delay seems to be the norm and not an outlier, they need to get better telling real world leadtimes!

Ordered my frame (raw carbon - glossy finish) on 28/01/2026. Frame is ready, but handlebar 400-100 is not in stock at the moment. Would be shipped in about 10 days or so. Maybe you have some custom paint scheme?

Hey everyone,

While I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my frame, I'd like to do some prep work for the custom decals I want to apply.
Could anyone who has the frame in hand provide me with the following dimensions, if possible?
  • Width and height of the Lightcarbon logo on the front of the headtube, or the width of the headtube itself (I know it's tapered, but widest part is okay).
  • Width of the seat tube (rear-facing part).
  • If anyone has a size 58 frame: The height between the top of the seat tube and the top of the wind-eye.

I've already searched this thread but haven't found anything. With these dimensions, I can already have my decals ready in time for when my frame arrives.
