Personally I wish manufacturers would focus less on massive internals and more on increasing the external width and the thickness of the rim lip. Something like the new newmen streem g.62 or duke sierra aera w48 that have thick lips which would surely handle rim impacts better. I'm not sure on the impact of wider lips on pinch flats but maybe it will also help there? Just my 2 cents.

This is what I was thinking as well, I was nearly sold on the G028 but was put off by some of the complaints on that thread. Hopefully your frame comes out ok though, not everyone has had problems it seems.

It looks quite good IMO, somewhat like a mix between the fm346 and fm356.

Hi all, just seen this pop up when on the mondince website. Looks like a new model, again with 57mm clearance like fm346/fm366. Has anyone else seen/heard about this?

Has anyone bought a size XS yet?

Small would likely fit me but I have also been looking at sizing down for a more aggressive fit. 15mm lower stack whilst only losing 10mm from the top tube, seat tube and head tube angles remain the same and wheelbase only reduces by 9mm. My biggest concern is with the seat tube length and weather the frame will look ridiculously small with a 440mm seat tube. Maybe not as bad as the 316 with a 410mm seat tube. I am planning to do more of a gravel racing build that can also be used on the road as a "winter road bike" so I want a fairly aggressive fit. I was considering the fm296/gr201 but I don't like the look of the longer seat stays and steeper head tube angle.

TanTan have just posted "ISO" style testing videos on their Instagram for their new 61mm clearance frame, apparently called "GR356". This looks to be the same as this Mondince which would make sense given how it worked when the FM346 came out. They haven't posted any geometry yet so it will be interesting to see what the new, longer front centre, geometry is like.

These are the 340/400 bars with 120mm -17 stem. One thing that would be nice is a top cap shaped to the stem rather than the stock carbon one but that's something I'd have to design and 3D print myself, once I cut the steerer shorter anyway. The grip tape is from doing road bike TTs, it helps to maintain the aero position.

If you don't mind having a separate bar and stem then Balugoe on AliExpress has some good options.

I have been using their aero bars on my road bike and I have been happy with them so far, they have a decent amount of flare but maybe not as much as some gravel bars. They also offer bars with 20mm of rise with the same flair, both come in a range of widths.

I also use their internally routed stem which works with 56mm head tubes, they offer this in -10 and -17 options with a range of length.

I think the combo looks pretty clean but obviously not as clean as a one piece bar, you can still use out front Garmin mounts though which is a bonus.
