I also had the issue with the FSA Acr top cover rubbing on the frame and had to add 0.5mm spacer. I strongly advise anyone who will build this bike with fsa acr to do the same. But it’s perfectly fine otherwise.

How did you get your Kore cyclone wheelset so cheap?

Aliexpress sale start of june, they were €424,39 listed, got €10 store coupon, €60 aliexpress coupon, €72 vat adjustment, and shipping was €65, because they had some strange way of shipping, a symbolic package via standard aliexpress first and then the real package via DPD. But that was probably too confusing for their customers, they are now using full DDP shipping, which is more expensive. So they’ve become more expensive now, but still a good deal. No flaws with mine.

So I finally got my first 300km in, and I love the bike, it’s nice and fast & light and got good tire clearance. Got it mostly for the tire clearance, then decided I wanted to make it light on a budget aswell. Building it was a little bit difficult, mostly the brake hoses & headset stuff I found really difficult. But it rides well, and I trust it now.

Frame was a bit heavier than expected, but it’s still good for XXL size and custom paint. Will upgrade the pedals to faveros as soon as I get road shoes. Tested on a bit of gravel already and is faster on cat1 gravel than my gravelbike. 46-30 was a bit too difficult for my local climbs, might have to get a 10-33, was planning on upgrading to Red anyway. All in all I’m pretty happy, similar spec as 8 grand bikes in the bike shop, for about €2700.

Rival E1 powermeter cranksets are 380€ msrp can find below 300, probably can find D1 even cheaper.

Find out what you want to upgrade, then search Aliexpress, then search the forum. You can’t expect us to recommend something from nothing.

YKYWBike in 3XL - Almost perfect but the opening around the legs is a little too wide, if it was 1cm smaller it would be perfect. I really like them super comfortable and amazing quality of the price so I’ll take them to the seamstress to see if they can make the leg openings a little tighter

Yeah, the big sizes are what I’m trying to avoid, they are way too loose for me and usually ride up, I’m 15kg lighter than you, so it’s a bit difficult to find the right size. I’m probably going to order a pair of Lameda bibs, they have a few reviews of people that say they are far too long for them, so I hope they will be just right for me.
