New bike day for me! Quite happy with this frame swapped al my parts over from my Velobuild AeroGravel. When I tried it out today it felt very familiar and I was happy with the feeling of the bike. It didn’t really feel slower or more sluggish than my VB. I was quite pleased with the speed possible on the 45mm Caracal race tires.
When I build op my dedicated roadbike hopefully next week (I know, I know, I have a problem) I will order some bigger tires like thunder burts or maybe 2.4 Pirelli xc tires they also seem to be quick on Bicycle Rolling Resistance. Excited to see how capable and versatile this bike will be.
I see you have a meinier grl15 frame. The tightening torque of 6-8Nm is written on the seatpost clip. So I had a problem with exactly the same pin. I wanted to install another seatpost. But with great difficulty, I got it out of the frame. The reason for everything is the pin clamp plate. The material is quite thin and the clamping screws even at a minimum value of 6Nm make dents in it. My pin fits into the frame tightly and these dents held it anyway and I couldn't remove it. I wrote to the seller about it and he sent me a new clip. At the same time, I ordered a steel clamp for the turner while the new part was moving. So I want to warn against such things. I tightened the steel with the force that is written on the seatpost itself, 5Nm, and it does not sink under my weight on bumps and bumps. My weight is 85kg
