Cyclocross Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Wheeltop EDS GeX

Speaking of Twitter.
Their road full carbon bike, R15 Pro, with WheelTop road set, is 1040 USD. The WheelTop itself is 700 USD on the website or AliX. Yeah yeah, I know when you're a company selling complete bikes, all components go chipper. But this? You guys really enjoy being part of this overpriced paid beta-test?

... Shimano XTR clipless pedals ...
May I know where you got these pedals from? What's the nut size: 15 or 16 mm?

I'd recommend to make your links less ugly and more international, I don't think many people speak russian here. And it's easier to change currency. For instance: https://aliexpress.com/item/1005005873568314.html and https://aliexpress.com/item/1005003041334919.html

I see, thank you for the clarification (his videos are quite boring and pretty watered, difficult to watch). Well, in this case, it's screwed up indeed.

What are all these tier/QA/QC levels people have been talking about recently regarding LightCarbon? Does a customer now have an option to get a higher quality manufactured frame if pays/donates more? Is it a new pay-to-win stay-alive element of purchasing? The frame is either reliably ridable/buildable or going to trash. Are there new degradation levels in between, like "well you can ride it but carefully" or "yeah almost built completely, but go to your local workshop for some extra work and final touch before you can even ride it." We're talking here about something above-average brand, "the HIGHEST quality bike frame," and not some random 200-buck aliexpress DIY carbon frame.

I can't see any info on this matter on their website, nor was it mentioned during our conversation when I bought two frames (MTB) 3 years ago from them.

Yes, I understand and have no problems with T47 as a standard, it's a good improvement.
I'm worried about mounting these small aluminum pieces in this particular (and some similar) case within a carbon matrix. Even fancy brands had problems with a proper adhesion between aluminum and carbon, and here, the contact surface is even smaller (compared to the most common bulky one-piece insert approach), and it's chinese (with quite random QC) manufacturing.

Hello road people. I'm just occasionally browsing frames in here.
I'm kinda concerned about BB. It's a bit unclear from pics, but it seems that the BB is made of two thin and narrow separate hubs with thread (similar to "Factor Ostro"). Alignment can be a problem, sure, but I'm more worried about the reliability of such an approach. I'm not familiar with T47 BB road frames, so unsure if this's a common practice among chinese manufacturers and if the whole structure can hold under lots of load in a continuous manner.
So, I wonder if this construction is somewhat reliable or if there're any failure statistics already.

Regarding LCFS947 - pay attention to the seat post insert length, Light Carbon has quite retarded design here. I'm running their trail frame (LCFS958), and the maximum you can use at 19" size is 150 mm without any voodoo magic. I managed to install a 170 mm OneUp dropper (180 mm shimmed), but it was a bit tricky (see the pics below). The claimed seat depth is 200 mm, and in the case of 947, it's even 170 mm. I kinda have long legs (88 cm inseam being 181 cm), so there's more room for me. If you have a more usual inseam - keep it in mind. While running 958 in a bike park or whatever decent technical enduro or flow trails with jumps, I still would prefer to have an even lower seat.

As for the rest of the weight and price: carbon handlebar and rims, light pedals, and tires. I bought whatever 29" noname 29 mm inner width from AliExpress several years ago (around 450 grams, I assume), running with inserts + 791/2 Novatec hubs. No problems so far (I'm 75 kg fully equipped), but it's overkill. Next time, I will stay at 400 g. You can consider Goldix hubs as a light and cheap alternative to DT Swiss 350, but check reviews, some require a little bit of "optimization".

Just found a video: https://youtu.be/cOxW6rk9C4Q?t=1060
The guy uses a standard SLX 7100 crankset (52 chainline) with 0mm 36T, but he said it was 38T in the video. He also mentioned that it certainly has room for 40T.

Any ideas why this outdated standard chinese frame is 850usd? The color schemes are interesting, but what else?

STAY AWAY FROM SPCYCLE.

I ordered a frame, ...

That's screwed indeed.
But why didn't you open a dispute? The seller doesn't provide you with after-sell support/warranty and ghosting you, so you have nothing to lose already. You could request a refund for the wrong color and defective BB thread. Now since you mentioned that you already got extra damage from home service, it probably could be a bit more challenging to state your point but still doable for a color refund at least.

Another update from another store on aliexpress. FINTOWON BIKE this time with Winow frames. They have a similar to M030 (and M048) frame which is MF699. The guy told me that it was originally meant to be with a 52mm chain line and a max 36T chainring without magic.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it just the m030 model with T47 bottom bracket and 52/52mm headset + fancy-shmancy clean look stealth cable routing? Speaking of which, the original m030 was designed for a 52mm chainline and can only fit 34T (or you optionally go to 55mm adjustment and 38T with all that entails), based on the info I got from Spcycle Store on aliexpress.
