this makes it aesthetically ugly and will surely weigh a few grams more.

Ouch it’s ugly to say the least! Does also L size have the same big reinforcement?

Cyclocross Frames, Wheels & Components / Comfortable easy gravel frame
« on: October 14, 2024, 10:07:08 AM »
Hi dears
Im new to this gravel thing and I would like to try building one.
It’s plenty of frames out there , I’ve seen ican graro, cfr707 and the light carbon ones but for me they look all the same. I would like it to be easy in terms of geometry, comfortable not extreme or race type. Can you please give me some hints or directions?
Thanks for any assistance

Did SP-Cycle replace your broken frame?  It's been a few months...

Wasn't me, it's another federico I own a Carbonda 936 and so far really happy about it

Hey man, its been a few months.  Have they sent you your new frame yet?

Im thinking about buying this frame too.  Im happy to see new frames come already with the aluminum part replaced, but not crazy about their apparent slack on fulfilling their obligations in terms of warrany...

I would not trust buying the 861, even though it's an aluminum rocker since the failure also happens in the rear triangle upper link, indeed the 868 has a new rear triangle hopefully is bug fixed

Is the rocker made of carbon or ALU?

Update on the crack...  I am a bit dissapointed by their response, and primarilyis was a "crash" damage. LOL... I'm a bit mad tbh.

Honestly I can hardly see this caused by an impact, how can they be so sure? To impact on that part you need to execute a front flip, and when landing only the right part of the rear triangle should hit something as a wall or rock, to me this is definitely a flexing issue. I’m also disappointed by carbonda’s response.

What frame is that? How and in which part you snapped it?

This looks very much like a FBA design .... update / alternative to the 909?

"As for the 1625g carbon frame itself – designed in Czechia, manufactured in Portugal"
