In case you want to see a full build bike https://capacita.cc/traccia/

While browsing around online, I came across this bike, in one of the pics you can even see the pouch with “Tideace” written on it.

Sunrace isn't sexy or super light, but they're hard to beat for value and performance. Got sunrace on all by bikes. They just work. No faffing around.
That said, I see Deore 11-42 on ebay for $40 if you're in the US. Cheaper than I can find on Ali.
I live in Italy, and the price for the Deore cassette is basically the same here. I currently have a Deore cassette on my bike, but I need a second one for the turbo trainer. Since the Sunrace is about 150g lighter than the Deore, I was thinking of buying it, putting the Sunrace on the bike, and moving the Deore to the trainer. (I know the 150g don’t really make a difference).

any gravel options 11-42t?
thanks

I'm looking for a HG 11s 11-42 cassette as well, atm the only two options i've found are:
- Sunrace CSMX8 - 400g for 49€ ;
- Spedao - 320g for 89€.

Nice build! If this frame had internal storage, it would’ve been perfect. I think it looks way better than the GR201.

We have 4 wheelsets from Elite bought on AliX in use with no problems.

So I have the new Gravel wheels in the link with 32mm internal width on order at the moment, seems they are still ramping up prodcution so the time until shipment is longer than usual. Ordered them during the summer sales and they where around 480 US$ including shipping to Switzerland. They come with a 50T ratchet system vs. the 36T I have currently in use.
Will report once they arrrive.

Chris

Wow that was a steal!! I'm in the market for a set of carbon wheels and i'd have bought them immediately at that price.

After The Ride / Re: Are AliEx/open mold carbon bikes common in your area?

Not quite common but i've seen two "microbrands" selling gravel bikes with Carbonda/SpCycle frames, nothing wrong with this, the problem is they're labelling them as "Made in Italy"  :-X

Little updates after some months of usage,
i can confirm the quality of this Darevie's jersey, i'll probably buy another one of the next season.

This bib from Spexcel, instead, is not convincing me completely, i mean it's really good looking and practical with all the pockets but i wouldn't use it for 3+ hours ride. (while its marketed for 7 hours ones)

Good to know, i'd have bet the frame would cost more, like €1,000 incl. shipping

Anyone has a recommendation for custom team wear on Ali?
Darevie has the "custom service" page on its website.

Received the darevie set this morning
( https://aliexpress.com/item/1005003127347074.html and https://aliexpress.com/item/1005005368937229.html )
The stitching is flawless on both, I cannot fault them. Great quality.
[...] my next order

Is it me or the links are not working?

i think is the same frame that Guerciotti use for its Escape model.

Long term review on my Spexcel cargo bibs. They chamois is garbage. Ok for shorter rides, but can't really find a comfortable spot on the saddle. Fine with my other bibs or shorts. The jersey that came with the set is actually really good though.

The LuBi bib I have is actually pretty good. Used it on long gravel rides and it works well for me.

Question. Anyone tried any kind of sun sleeves from Aliexpress. Don't want to have to bathe in sunblock for every ride in the summer.

Which pair of Spexcel are you talking about?

Today i've received the Darevie jersey, for 15€ it seems pretty good, i'm 180x76kg and the XXL fits me perfectly (i don't like super tight jersey).

It may not work the first time, but with some practice, it comes 8)
Exactly, the fabric is really elastic, you can pull the tool out without any problem.

I was looking for a pair of cargo bib, after reading some positive feed i've bought a pair of Spexcel cargo bib. I've only ridden them for some 2.5 hours rides but they're performing as good as my other European pair (Montura with Elastic interface chamois).
