I just ordered this frame as well - good and fast communication with Mondince. Should be finished in 18 days and shipped. I come from the Velobuild Aero Grav and are looking for a frame with higher stack and internal storage and this frame fits those two so I'm very excited to test it out. I ordered glossy silver to UD carbon fade paint (top to bottom) similar to the SEKA Spear RDC frame.

What are you planning for the handlebars? I'm looking at the Lexon Unox gravel handlebar but still undecided.

Hi, will these bolts and the mounting plate normally be included when I purchase a set of levers/brakes (SRAM Rival in my case)? Or do I need to source it somewhere else?

I had to get it separately. Bought the full Rival E1 groupset from Bike-discount. I also had to get those Majig fittings for the brake hoses separately.

After messing up a few times (wrong chainrings, too short chain, realizing I miss parts etc.), I’ve now had 6-7 rides on my new bike. I hope to get the weight down to around 8.5 kg next year.

First impressions:
This bike is fast! Even though I’ve been without a bike for 10 weeks (and in poor shape), I set a few PRs already. I feel it’s a lot faster on smooth gravel and pavement than my old Grizl CF (Rival XPLR and Zipp XPLR 303S). On rougher terrain, I’m not sure what’s fastest, the Grizl felt a bit more stable. But rough terrain is rare in my area, so I’ll happily take a little beating once in a while.

The Rival group is awesome. Coming from the 12-speed version, the brakes are miles better, the hoods are more comfortable and the extra cog on the cassette makes things a little more smooth. I miss my old XPLR 303 S wheelset a little (maybe because it looked cooler), but the Elitewheels are also awesome and a little lighter than the Zipp wheels.

Future upgrades:
- 48t aero chainring
- Lighter pedals (have XTR in stock that needs service)
- Pathfinder Pro TLR 45 or the new Caracal Race in 45
- Different handlebar and stem (I need a little shorter reach)

I’m finally eyeing the finish line with this project! I just did a bikefit on the home trainer and hope (if weather allows) to take it out for a spin tomorrow and fine tune brakes and derailleur (and put on some bartape). Will give my review on performance after a few rides 😊

Side note: Pass Quest removed the “compatible with SRAM Flattop chains” on their listing after I contacted them and asked why it didn’t fit my chain. They are trying to guilt trip me and refuse to offer any solution, so I’m stuck with a useless chainring (and the wrong chainbolts). Not too fond of Pass Quest after this.

this means that the 12/13speed SRAM chains are actually different from older 12speed SRAM chains.
I'm wondering if also 13 speed latest SRAM chainrings are different form older 12 speed SRAM chainrings, because they are all listes as 12 speed compatible.

I just tested a new 12 speed Force D1 chain and it's the same as the E1 chain - so my old 12 speed chain is just stretched out. I guess the problem is with the chainring then...

I tried to see if the Magene power meter crank would fit with the 3 mm offset 48t chainring. If I add a 5.5 mm spacer, I have about 4.5 mm clearance from chainring to chainstay. I’m thinking about adding 6.5 mm spacer instead to get a little more clearance. This setup gives me a chainline of 49.5 mm, any idea how that matches up with the SRAM E1 13-speed? Can’t seem to find any chainline recommendations.

Here’s some pictures of my Pearl White frame. It’s hard to capture the pearl effect, but it looks very cool. I’m currently testing some decals to add on permanently later on.

Anyways, my build is slowly progressing. As a noob  in bike building, I’ve already had some, I guess anticipated, issues. I thought I was gonna use the Magene P515 power meter with a 48t chainring. When installing, I instantly saw that the spindle was way too short and the chainring collided with the frame. I think I would need 15 mm spacers to clear the frame (and not be able to mount the left hand side arm…). For now, I’ve put on the Rival crankset and the SRAM Dub Wide bb.
