Just built up my G2 Max with GRX 815 Di2 groupset that was somewhat on discount. I had a Carbonda CFR696 2x10 GRX mechanical and the geometry is very similiar. I wanted to build an all arounder bike that I wasn't afraid to get scuffs and scrapes on compared to my CFR696.  I currently ride 70/30 road/gravel so I wanted to stay with 2x for now. Build was very straight forward, nothing surprising or difficult. I was first looking at going 1x13 with Wheeltop GEX but decided to change it. Right now there are a lot of great electronic groupset options: I found 105 R7170 Di2 2x12 for $865 before import/shipping fees from merlin cycles, 105 R7170 2x12 Di2 for $950 + shipping from aliexpress, GRX 825 Di2 2x12 for ~$1200, SRAM AXS 2x12 D1 for ~$1050. It seems like the 7170 is a great price to performance in my opinon but I wanted more gravel range. I got the frame for a great price which included shipping which took about 6 weeks to get to the U.S with no import fees.

My current tires measured 46mm on these rims, the front fork tire clearance measured 75mm for it's clearance across and the rear was about 58mm across.
