The eGR RD has a clutch, right? Wouldn’t the higher chain tension impact front shifting. Does it work reliably? I’d imagine it’s like with Sram’s mechanical 1x RDs. You can’t combine these with an FD AFAIK. Never tried it but I can’t imagine that it’d work with that amount of chain tension.
It works fine. GRX 2x RD also has a clutch. Shimano also has MTB groupsets with clutch and they work fine

It's not you it's the crankset. I had the same issue with my 105 Di2 groupset, the inside crank arm was actually striking the derailleur (I would check your crank arms too). Managed to get a partial refund from magene, now it's just sitting on the shelf.

I have a fully working setup with magene pes crankset and 105 di2. You need to run the FD's H limit less then 1mm to the crank, and set the synchro shift in the  E-tube app to be max outboard in all shifts.
Shifting is fine an no chain rub

Anyone know if you can slap the "new" 48/31 GRX820-2 chainrings on this bad boy? Might wanna try it for an upcoming gravel build. According to Shimano they also feature 110/80 BCD, 4 bolt chainrings - so should fit? Or is there any other nuance to it that I overlooked?

https://bike.shimano.com/products/components/pdp.P-FC-RX820-2.html

It won't fit the small chainring that grx use, because of 80mm BCD. You need both chainrings to be 110mm.

As I understand it, all chainrings under 34t can't be 110 bcd because of their small diameter. Probably why mtb chainring are usually 104 bcd.

Maybe you could get a 34t and use 48/34 if FD will shift well with that combo.

can you link that video please?

Here without the space, this site doesn't like links

I really don't understand why magene is not doing Easton spider PM ?

Because they want to lock you in, to use their cranks going forward... That is the whole idea of doing proprietary things, so they only work with that vendor :/

Well I found this mad man on youtube https://www.youtube.com/shorts/BKQRqR7GiHY
That seem to have filed the large slot on the power meter down, so it will fit easton cranks eg. the lexon carbon cranks. This probably isn't 100% safe and may change power readings, but the interface is really close to an easton standard.

I'd be looking for the new Lexon Road 24mm crankset if price is right, and a Xcadey power meter to fit.

ZTTO gen2 or gen3 cassette

Magene radar

Sensah hrd team pro for the commuter. (Anyone tried this group since they updated their brakes?)

Magene are now supplying with a new pre-load bolt that assumably fixes the issue. I saw this in their new instructions video.

I have the old pre-load bolt type, and it came loose multiple times. After applying threadlocker there's been zero issue  :D

I'd say go for it, can't beat it for the money.

Chaser flat mount adapter for the front came today. Just as rear well made and light. Double as lightweight as the zrace one. https://imgur.com/a/mzK58Os

The story is the following: by mistake I bought the mechanicals (as the new one look exactly the same and there was not explicit mention of them being mechanical), I sent them back and bought the hydraulic ones. The only difference in therms of shifting is that on the index lever the mechanical can shift up to two gears whereas the hydraulic can shift three. They both have a single click for the thumb lever. Thus, better to stick with the older version.

I bought the shifters standalone, then bought the derailleur in carbon version; I will use some ultegra calipers that I had left from another bike... I don't like the layout of the L-Twoo calipers with those weird supports...

Are you sure you can do that? The ltwoo shifter seems to use the BH-59 hose which is bigger than the BH-90 that Ultegra calipers accept? Or are they cross compatible?

How big is the weight difference compared to standard caliper adapters? I'm planning to do a ceramic piston upgrade to my Zrace XG brakes and I could potentially cut more weight to the calipers with these adapters.
The ztto adapter was 17g with screws so 11 grams saving.
That's for the rear only, front has not arrived yet, but probably even more. Will report once it gets here.

Here are some pictures of the chaser flat mount installed. Sadly didn't match the frame colour well :/
There's a lot less material on this than the ztto adapter.
The Titanium torx screws are also pretty soft, almost stripped one of them.

The flatmount adapter from chaser arrived today. Super lightweight, but not as green/blue as the ali listing, this is more light blue ish.

Ultralight disc brake caliper 160/180mm adapters. Hadn't seen these before. The shape of the front adapter is interesting and so are the colors. I might actually order a set not for the weight saving but for color.

I've ordered the front mount caliper adapter a week ago, in the celestial blue/green colour, I'll report back once it arrives

That doesn't sound good, there should be no play in the pivot side to side. Make sure there isn't any play, if there is you should contact LC to fix it. Play in pivot is really not good, it might also be the bearings they supplied with the frame are terrible.

The rear shock usually makes some noises when squashed. Check if it is there it's coming from.
