Hi !

I recently purchased a K-Edge Chain Guide for my VB-R-268 1x set up and I have hard time to install properly.

The outer plate is rubbing the chain and since there are only 3 screws, I do not really know if I have to un-screw them to push the outer plate far from the chain.

I am pretty sure my crankset is installed correctly because it works flawlessly without the chain guide but if you have any checks to ensure that is installed suitably, let me know.

I did not weight the bike but who cares ? lol. With both rings (C-Ring & Crown Ring), there was a significant gap between the bottom headset cap and the frame, in particular with the Crown Ring. So I decided to use the C-Ring. I sanded it as much as I could and drilled a small hole to fit properly the HB17 handlebar. If I want to bend the HB and fork like GCN, I have put my full weight on it, so yeah, I will say there is no issue here.

My recommendation if you are picky :
- Buy a SL8 seatpost wedge because the one they provide does not fit well (it is a little bit bigger).
- Buy a SL8 seatpost cover, the one provided is garbage.

It always takes around 2-3 weeks for them to ship the wheels. I bought 2 pairs of them and wait the approx’ time that I mention. Then you have to wait around 1.5 weeks to receive the wheels depending on where you live. In Canada, it took 1.5 weeks and no taxes at the reception.

I have recently purchased a SL8 from Taiwen Eisen and from another store. The quality of the Taiwan Eisen’s frame is top notch compared to the other one. I haven’t built the bike yet but at first sight, it’s pretty excellent to me, especially for 600USD (shipping including and no taxes).

Here are few pictures of the interior of my frame (sorry for the quality) VS the F-C’s SL8 (white and green color, they sent me some pics)

Stone released a new spider 110BCD that you can get for $30 on Ali. It fits pretty well in comparison to the one that Lexon provides.

Following up on my previous post about the gap between the power meter and the crankarm, I reached out to Lexon, and they assured me that this gap is normal. Being a bit stubborn and skeptical about their response, I decided to take everything apart and remount it. After doing so, I can confirm that this gap is indeed “normal.”

In addition, after receiving a set of spacers I ordered from AliExpress, I went ahead and mounted the crankset on my bike. My bottom bracket is a Shimano BBR60. Before installing the Lexon crankset, I measured how many spacers I needed. If you check picture (1), you’ll see that I had 1.5 cm of spindle remaining with my Shimano R8100 Ultegra crank arms. After adding a 1mm spacer on the non-drive side, I achieved the same 1.5 cm clearance with the Lexon crankset.

From what I can tell, this crankset pairs well with the BBR60. It spins just as smoothly as my R8100 Ultegra crankset. I’ll be testing it out on Zwift during the holidays, and I’ll update you if anything comes up. So far, so good!

Hi there,

Does anyone use the new crankset with a bottom bracket Shimano (or equivalent) BBR60 BSA ? If yes, do you use crank spacers and what are the sizes that you use ? I saw a YT video in which the person uses 3mm spacers on the non-drive side.

I always use Shimano crankset with Shimano BB, so it’s pretty new to me.
