10t cog is not that efficient. Quadratish, not praktish, not good. :)

What you lose in efficiency you gain in flexibility, especially if you are 1x and limited by chainring size.

That said, I'm wondering how the swap would be easier than moving over fully? Internal routing issues?

I can leave the hoses in and just swap the levers and the RD. Sure it's just a time and effort thing.

That means not wind-tunnel tested.

wind-tunnel verified CFD model, just means CFD.

That said, I don't think every new frame needs wind-tunnel data when it uses some pretty standard and well refined shapes.

Does anyone have both wheeltop and ltwoo? I'm swapping out ltwoo for wheeltop and would like to leave the ltwoo calipers (makes life easier). The ltwoo with the wheeltop calipers will then go on my winter bike.

Any issues doing this? Anyone with both have a view on which calipers are better?

The headtube to fork transition is really ugly.

Weight looks good, but stiffness seems too extreme for anything other than perfect tarmac. Price tag is 'OK'. The PP design is cool.

Headtube > fork interface ain't got no alibi

I run a 46T 1X on the Tideace Noah with a Magene P505 base. I use a small spacer just to give a little more space from the chainstay.

Yeah if the lower is free at 12Nm, it sounds like me and you are missing something...

Firmware, yes, but there are a few frustrations I have:

  • Reported charge level is inconsistent
  • The torque settings on the arm to the hanger are completely wrong 12Nm will seize it up, when it is supposed to rotate. The upper one that should be tight, comes loose when torqued to 10Nm as specced
  • The charge port needs a cover, or the centre part should not be recessed, as even the smallest amount of dirt can stop it charging properly and it isn't that easy to clean, needs a cocktail stick or similar
  • It's very easy to get ghost shifts from the levers
  • Range should be 50T not 46T
  • pulley wheel bearings are junk - if they get wet once they're dead, need replacing immediately
  • Stronger magnet needed on charging port

As i like the idea of a little bit more comfort on the bum section, is there an cheaper option out there?
I've gone for the Voice Velo Vfv seatpost. Takes a little roadbuzz out, very nicely made, normal seatpost shape.

I used two sockets and a bench vise and they popped out pretty smoothly. One the same size as the bearing and the other large enough to support the jockey wheel and allow the hearing to pass into. You could make a drift with a bolt and washer and use a socket on the other side for the bearing to pull into.

Take care when pressing the new ones in to make sure they are even. My first attempt the bearing was a bit skewed so I had to remove and redo.

I tried to knock a seized bearing out and the pulley wheel snapped in two. Ah well. Plenty of cheap replacements with better bearings. This groupset is off to the winter bike. Too many problems. Wheeltop GEX on the way for the gravel bike.

Has anybody found a cover that fits for the FD mount if you run 1x?

Tempted by the 2025 model deals currently on AliExpress, but no carbon lever option. Need to convince myself that is not necessary, or maybe I am better to wait for holiday deals?

Edit. Reached out to the store and they said it's the carbon levers option, which with the full packaging and using up some coins came to £420, which I think is a great deal.

I've got the problem where I can't charge it, AGAIN  ::)

OK, resolved. I had to find a wall unit with 5v 2A+, and then use a cocktail stick to clean the central contact point of the charging point on the RD. Now I am getting a charge. That port really needs a cover.

I have another question regarding the internal storage, for those that already have the full bike.

Do the cable have any sort of "guidance" inside the down tube or all they just randomly going down towards the bottom bracket area?

I ask because I've seen at least one vid from Seraph/TanTan where the cables are just loosely going down the frame, while I know some western brands manage to keep the storage clean (ex. Propain Terrel)

Just loose, no guidance. Use a foam sleeve and it won't shift about. They're like £1 on AliExpress.
