Has anyone here succesfully build this frame with another stem/integrated handlebars? For example ACR/SMR parts? I am totally confused what parts are and are not compatible with each other (LCR headset, headset top cap, spacers). The reason why I am thinking about this is the relatively long reach (75mm) of the integrated handlebars.

After reading this thread days and nights - I’m almost about to order this frame. But I am just wondering, if there isn't a good alternative frame:

I am looking for something with a similar, endurance-focused geometry, (long seat-tube, long head-tube, short eff. top tube, high STR-ratio) + at least 32mm tire clearance, but with a more "sleek"/"minimalist" and less bulky design/appearance. Any ideas? Otherwise I guess I have to buy the LCR018-D (no drama).

I hope this question hasen't already been settled in the past 100 pages of this thread but I am curious if anyone has successfully used a non-proprietary stem/headset on this frame?

Very pleased with the 1x Crankset from Prowheels. Especially since it doesn't require aditional spacers which is quite rare for Chinese cranksets:

Sorry to post in this topic after months of silence.

I am about to purchase a FM238 frame. In 2018 I already bought a Hongfu Frame (FM008, rim brake) and was quite satisfied with the quality. But it turned out that the geometry of the frame was way too extreme for me, the classification as an endurance frame was somehow misleading (i need more stack and less reach basically) and on top it only accomodated 25mm tires max.

tl;dr: i think the FM238 could be a perfect fit

I am just unsure about the headset. Does the mentioning of the FSA No55R1 in the spec sheet mean that i can combine every integrated handlebar or stem that is compatible with FSA SMR/ACR with the frame? I already posed the question to my HongFu contact, but it was obvious that he was overwhelmed by the question, so I thought you guys could help me out.

So all comfort/contact points except from the bars, where the same and I could clearly feel a difference between the two bikes.

Could you elaborate a bit more on that? I am really curious what kind of difference you've felt.

Though if you really want to guarantee big tire clearance it might be worth looking into gravel/cross frames.

35mm would be more than enough for me as I do not really plan to do any Gravel and would favor more something like an all road bike (and I guess the 1056 is just that).
