To answer my own question,  it looks like Yoeleo has a wheel that fits the bill.

I am sitting on a Zipp 808 Firecrest front wheel, and the hub from the rear after the car wreck this summer.  I'm thinking I need to build that rear wheel back up and have a deep crit wheelset again.  Is there a Chinese clone of the current 808? All of the 80-90mm deep rims i've found are super narrow, like 17-19mm internal at most.  Is anyone aware of a 21-23mm internal width rim?

You could do what I did.  Build a Speeder RD-55, get hit by a car, use insurance money to buy S-Works SL8.

roughly 9k build for under 3.

Certainly won't be apples to apples, but my replacement frame is now on order.

Given the combination of insurance money, '25 model year sale prices, and additional "bro discounts", I maaaaaaaay have splurged for a SWorks SL8...

Looking forward to the comparison between the two!  A friend of mine will be taking the speeder and running it at risk, so I can always hop on them side by side

Well, after about 1300 miles on the speeder, I'm going to be upgrading to a SL8.  Got hit by a car a few weeks ago, and the insurance settlement is buying me a new bike.  No injuries, only carbon damage - Zipp 808 rear toast, frame and bars impacted, but able to ride home. 

I've had zero complaints about the bike, and haven't lined up at a race without someone asking about it.  Justin was also great to work with when purchasing.  Would buy again if/when I'm in the market for another Chinese frame.

I don't find my bike harsh at all.  Currently running 30 or 32c tires depending on which wheelset it the flavor of the wind.  Took a hot minute to track down all the creaking. Turned out I forgot to carbon grip the seatpost....  Oops.

Did a century a week and a half ago, put 1500 watts out last week, and have even gone down a few gravel roads. Only on the gravel did my Addict Gravel feel better.  Other than that, I've been quite pleased.  One day I'll hop on a "real" bike and get the full comparison.

Be careful with such rims in the mountains. Cornering on that is awful, and if the weather doesnt cooperate, you will get thrown around like crazy. In a downhill + curve + bad wind shenanigans... best of luck!

I live in a pretty flat area, and these wheels are pretty much only going to be used in crits and flat races.  My normal rides average only 500 ft of elevation per 10 miles tops.  The race this Saturday is a circuit - rolling gentle uphill into a 90 second long wall (9% average), followed by a straight DH for the next couple miles.  Flattens out and gets back to the rolling uphill again.  No wind forecasted.  I'm anticipating the straight descent to be pretty dang fast.  I'll take both wheelsets and decide what to race after a pre-ride on friday.  First race on the Speeder!

Maybe I can find someone with a 404 front that wants to trade and wind up with the 606 combo...  Time to talk to the triathlon folks!  Or just look to trade/sell and get some 50mm wheels.  But for $400, I couldn't pass it up.

The test ride last night was pretty windy, and it was nowhere near as bad as I anticipated.  Of course, the nice shallow Reynolds gravel wheelset will be my go-to when there's lots of hills to be climbed.

Got a screaming deal on wheels that are deeper than I wanted.  Oh well. It looks pretty mean now

I want to say it was 6-8 N-m.  My clamp has small teeth on it, and it didn't take much to make it stay put.

Rustoleum Blue Cosmos for the color, and some spraymax 2k clear coat for protection.  Also hit the bottle cages with the color shift paint for more speed points.

It's not perfect, but certainly looks good from a few feet back.  Bike is currently hung up for the next couple weeks while 4iiii puts a power meter on the crank.  Really looking forward to getting that back and racing this bike.  Still need to snag some deeper wheels at some point...  Just gotta let the wife forget about the costs first

Just about ready to take on a maiden (outside) voyage!  Still playing with painting the bottle cages the same as the frame. There's some small things to add still, but it's currently 16.0 lbs, or something.something kg.
